First time here. Food was alright, however the pancakes were amazing! I always appreciate a small business, so I will be coming back!

Dirty as hell. I understand it’s a diner, but come on, you still have to clean the walls and floors. The food was terrible, tasted like gas station eggs and frozen sausage links that they dumped into a deep fryer. All in all, a very sad experience. Hopefully they clean the place up and start taking pride in the food they serve. Until then, never again will I step foot inside.

Very yummy. We had a 5 hour layover and decided to eat outside the airport. Not a bad drive, service was quick and food was tasty.

Four stars because you come for a diner experience, and that’s what you get. I’ve only been here a couple times because, not to brag, I think I make a pretty mean breakfast myself. When I’m in the area though, it’s not a bad option. The menu is extensive with all morning staples from GIANT pancakes and chocolate chip waffles, to eggs, bacon and more. My go-to is the corned beef hash which comes with two eggs and potatoes. It’s nothing fancy(and looks like cat food), but I grew up eating it and always consider it a weekend treat. They have a long list of combos that come with toast and coffee. Most will not top $ 10. They also have non-breakfast items, but I’ve never tried. Service was quick and friendly last time I came. We had our pick of tables which was exciting since I could snag a booth across from the bar! The place definitely has a diner feel to it which is hard to come by in the area. Just come expecting no-frills and you should leave satisfied.

The service is good the ambience is welcoming. I had the veggie omelette and the egg was cooked well, however the inside was soggy. The accompanying potatoes where not cooked to satisfactory slightly under cooked leaving some pieces raw. The sunny side eggs where cooked too much. One was sunny side up the other was over cooked. The toast was not toasted to a golden brown but was barely toasted. The coffee is very good. The service was fast and polite. A little overpriced for what was served. Overall a visit for ambiance and family affair. With so much competition in the neighborhood, would one spend the money?

This is your typical diner. Plopped right in the center of the well known Allen’s Pharmacy, you will anything from a BLT sandwich to corn beef hash. To start, their pancakes are larger than the size of your face. No, really. They bring out their pancakes on a large tin pizza pan. This is my probably my favorite thing to order, and you can get a short stack for just $ 1.99 if your check-in on Unilocal. I also ordered the Big L, which is corn beef hash with eggs, potatoes, toast and coffee. My review on this dish? It was ok. The corn beef hash was a little watery and seemed like it was canned. The eggs were average, but the potatoes were perfectly cooked! The portion weren’t enormous, minus the size of the pancakes, so it’s definitely easy to eat the entire plate. As for the service? Not impressed. The waitress was nice, but she didn’t necessarily go out of her way to be welcoming or accommodating. She forgot to bring the toast with my meal, and when it finally arrived 15 mins later once I was done eating, she didn’t bring the toast I asked for. The entire table had their coffee mug refilled, and somehow I was skipped when I clearly had an empty mug. When the check arrived, it didn’t quite make sense and wasn’t divided up correctly. As I said, she was kind and got the job done, just didn’t make me feel warm and cozy. The pros: very inexpensive and overall you’re getting what you paid for, which is decent diner food. I’m interested to try out their lunch or dinner. I’m sure they have a great burger!

Servers were in their own world. At least they are friendly with each other. The place seems unclean to me. I saw cook taking slices of turkey out of sink and laying them on sandwich, wet. Can’t imagine why they were coming out of the sink, wet. Thawing? My burger was unremarkable as were the fries. As my burger and fries got colder, I had to get up to look for ketchup after trying to get any server’s attention to no avail. I wish it were better. Have been going to this location for close to 40 years. Must be tough with the challenging parking. I parked at CVS and made an obligatory purchase there to justify using the space.

I was fiending to hit up a Diner type of environment and this place was on my list of spots I’ve been meaning to hit up. I was attended to quickly. I ordered the 2−2−2−2−2. I ordered it with the pancakes and I severely underestimated them cause they are HUGE. But they were delicious. No complaints. The food was on point. Will be back in the future.

This was the first time I’ve visited. We stopped in for breakfast. Staff was very friendly, but the place was very much in need of cleaning, they had the dirtiest floors I’ve seen in ages in a restaurant. We ordered eggs, the Paleo Pancake, a waffle, sausage and oatmeal. Food came out cold, oatmeal was lumpy and cold. So if you want cold eggs, lumpy oatmeal and a pancake that comes out ten minutes later than the rest of the food pay this place a visit. Two stars for the very sweet server.

Great food, but they have the slowest service I have ever experienced in my entire 21 years of existence. The restaurant was not packed(Wednesday at 11am) and it took 20 minutes for the waitress to get my order and another 7 to get my coffee. It’s half her fault because she is the only one actually waiting tables. They have another lady behind the counter doing nothing and a bus boy doing a whole lot of nothing and besides looking high as shit. The manager walks and and proceeds to do the bus boys job and cleans the cups. Really have no idea what’s going on. But the Jew diners up in north Miami are doing it way better. This place would be better managed by an ESOL kid from South Miami High. Lesson learned, if you go to a diner, make sure you go to the Jewish one #bagelbar4lyf

What to say… I’ve been coming here for years and they’ve become a second family to me. I’ve grown up with them and certainly consider Nancy and Carlos to be my «street parents» haha! When Nancy gets creative in the kitchen, it’s the best. Not only is it healthy, but it’s delicious! Her spaghetti squash is frigging amazing! Did I mention they cater to Paleo and Atkins dieters alike?! What could be better than a mom and pop joint that keeps up with dietary fads! Things to try: Paleo pancakes Chilli omelet Burger benedict Anything with chicken sausage(when in stock) Their pancake challenge(they’re the size of a pizza pan) Milkshakes!!!(Get funky with it!) Their lunch specials! The list goes on! Definitely end up here at LEAST2x a week. Haha!

I am a waiter and this service was one of the worst I have ever experienced. It took 10 minutes for us to be sat while the restaurant had many open tables available. Our sever took about five minutes before greeting us and then another five to get us our drinks. After we ordered our food, one of the dishes sat under a heat lamp for 20 minutes before being brought to the table. While we waited for our food and ate, our server sat at the counter eating and texting on her phone with out checking on us even once. Food was okay but service was horrible. Will definitely not be returning or recommending.

Worst service I have ever had in my life hands down. The food was okay I got the chocolate chip pancakes but our waitress brought us coffee and then sat down at the counter and took her lunch break. Then we had to ask three employees to get a second cup of coffee. In summary: Food is okay, Serivce is terrible. Never going back.

The service was awful. Our waitress didn’t bother to check on us, we saw her sitting a few feet away on her lunch break. My boyfriend’s food was sitting on the counter for 20 minutes before they brought it to him. The pancakes are good, but the service was not. I don’t think I will be going back.

I never really knew this place existed. I would always see the big sign that says«Drugs», and thought it was a pharmacy and nothing else. Until I discovered them through Unilocal. Walking in, you notice the place isn’t so big, and it has a 1950’s vibe. Even though it has a 1950’s style, I think the place looks really old. It doesnt look well kept. They have an Elvis Presley statue in between the restaurant and their store. They also have other Elvis Presley pictures on the wall. I even saw a picture of Joe Biden on the wall from when he visited the restaurant. I went in for breakfast. My bf and I both ordered the 2−2−2−2, which includes eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, and french toast. The food was very good. I loved the potatoes. The coffee was also very fresh and tasty. We were attended by Kiana who was very nice. Our total came out to $ 19 for a breakfast for 2. Not too bad. The food is good. But I’m not too crazy about going back.

Really an amazing place. The food is delicious and their manager is very nice. I find myself craving this place. They have incredible Eggs Benedict, Sausage biscuits and gravy, omelettes, short stacks and more! Definitely recommend!

The quintessential diner… Great breakfasts, burgers and chili! They also have some pretty tasty specials. The pancakes are rather large and a bit of a novelty, but they are pretty good. Being about the size of a hubcap, I always take leftovers home. Although not on the menu, the coconut«paleo» pancakes are delicious! I’m not sure if this will become a regular item or not as it was a special the few times that I got it. The service is excellent even though it’s always crowded on the weekend when me, my wife and son go for their good eats. Regarding some of the negative Unilocal reviews… This is a diner folks, and apparently many pretentious Miamians have never eaten at a diner.

The food is okay for what you are paying. Maybe some items overpriced. Not many options for pescetarians & vegetarians and no vegan dishes. I just moved to the area and was planning on making this a quick stop for food, tea or meetings, but the service kind of killed that for me. The one waitress is cool and the manager tries to do what they can, but my recent experience was a disaster. The team makes small mistakes with the orders and instead of taking accountability, they blame the customer or each other. Also, they seem to get flustered easily which made me feel guilty for even trying to get my order corrected. Luckily, they gave the incorrect orders to the cook so she could take home to her family. I didn’t want to waste food at all, but I do think I should get what I order. For example, if I ask for egg salad, I don’t want a scrambled egg on bread with lettuce and tomato. Or if I ask for a tuna sandwich, I don’t want a scoop of tuna in a bowl with lettuce. I went 3 times and it was hit or miss. The food was either okay or decent, and the order was either correct or way off. One of the woman there(manager?) was very rude last time, and told me she didn’t need my business, so I doubt I’ll be back. However, it would be more productive to focus on the quality of the food, consistency between menu pricing and what customers are charged, and the communication between customer, waitress and chefs. Getting upset with the customers won’t help improve anything. I wanted to give the place 3 stars for food or even 4 stars for décor and vintage vibes. But my last experience let me know my time and money is best invested elsewhere.

I’ve been here many times since coming away extremely impressed by my first visit. A couple things to add — get pancakes. The short stack. I love ‘em with chocolate chips. Don’t ask how big they are. Just do it. Also — they had a chicken & waffles special a few weeks back. And they’ll still make you chicken & waffles, though I don’t see it on the menu. Get them. They are simple and delicious. I don’t think the hot sauce they have available is great, but really I’m just quibbling here. I continue to think that S&S is a top notch ‘divey’ diner.
