Romano’s Macaroni Grill

I went to this place at Doral and while I was waiting for a table I saw A RAT!!! Unacceptable and disgusting.

I am going to try to be brief and straight forward as possible. I was there today with my wife and kid. First, the place was almost empty and had a hard time trying to get a table. Furthermore; we waited several minutes before our server showed up. I asked for a beer, (three times) because they had just ran out of Stella and Corona. Now, get a load of this! I asked for a lasagna, and a few minutes later our server comes back and says, sorry but we ran out of lasagna, can I get you something else, he asks? So I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. It took less than 5 min to bring the food. The pasta was overcooked and the meatballs were cold. With a smile, I asked the server to to take the food back and decided not to eat. My wife had the salmon and my kid the cheese pizza.
The server apologized for the inconvenience and asked me if I wanted to speak with the manager, to which I replied, no worries, its not your fault.
Now, one would expect the manager to come to the table and apologize in person about the whole experience. However; this person didn’t bother to show. Again, this place was half empty.
As we walked out, some one asked what was the average waiting time and I heard the hostess say, 20 min Sir. Again, the place was half empty.

Food and service was great, but one thing needs to improve is the restrooms are dirty and not acceptable for the places..

It was just me and the wife today for lunch. But the place lens it’s self for a family atmosphere. Good food with friendly staff.

This restaurant used to advertise that they had a made from scratch kitchen. I guess that isn’t the case anymore. They couldn’t add goat cheese to a pizza because it’s already premade into an appetizer, they couldn’t change out a certain cheese because it’s premade that way and the lemon dessert we ordered was frozen so they couldn’t serve it to us. Very disappointing!

Food took forever. Taste below average. Good service. She was actually very apologetic.

Yuk! We Couldn’t even finish our lunch. We were bombarded with fruit flies. They were surrounding our table, and dive bombing us non-​stop. What bothered us the most was that once our food was dropped off, the server never bothered coming back to check on us. Had she done so, we would have requested to move to another table on the other side of the restaurant, which was empty, so that wouldn’t have been an issue. We were so fed up with batting away these annoying flying freak bugs, we just wanted to leave. My husband had to get up from the table to ask our server to bring us our bill, since she seemed to have no intention of coming back to our table. The food was actually really tasty. Too bad that the experienced sucked so badly, we would never return.

The food was good but I don’t know what happened to this place with the service its literally a crap the server called gino take all his time to bring the food, I asked for water and I had to wait like 15 minutes the food was brought to us by another server because this guy was talking to other server at the bar we ask for a desert and coffee he bring the coffee and the dessert came 25 minutes when we was almost leaving and then I write a note on the ticket and he take straight to his pocket, come on guys how u can get mad because I don’t left any tip if u don’t deserve it

I just burned my mouth with what seemed to be a entire can of red pepper flakes in a «tomato & basil soup». I have never had such a spicy tomato soup in my life. Pretty much ruined my appetite. The Lasagna was alright I guess, since I couldn’t taste much after the soup singed my mouth!

It was a casual Friday night and my hubby and i decided to go to macaroni grill since we haven’t been there in a long time.
Wow! We were both blown away by the quality of the food! It was de-​licious!!!
I had the Parmesan crusted sole which was flavored with capers and lemon and tasted just right. It was served on a bed of orzo which was yummy.
He had the smashed meatball pizza which I think is one of the best pizzas I’ve had! Yum! Definitely coming back!

I don’t know what happened to this place in the past year, but the quality of food and service is so low now that I’m officially taking them off the my list of places to spend my hard earned money.
Let’s begin with the arrogance in which they greeted us at the restaurant, which is very surprising considering this is a young crew working here.
We ordered the clam chowder and tomato soups along with stuffed mushrooms. The clam chowder was full of clams, but simply tasted like milk. The tomato soup was a bowl of tomato sauce they use for the pizza and no taste whatsoever. The stuffed mushrooms were not bad at all. We also ordered kids spaghetti with meat sauce for our 3 year old and lobster ravioli for us. The kids spaghetti sauce tasted like rubber and barely had any sauce, so that was a bust too. My lobster ravioli was super cold and the lobster so chewy that it was like chewing gum instead of eating a tasty lobster. The entire dinner was horrible. My pregnant wife didn’t even order dinner because of the horrible food in front of us.
When you work so hard and finally have time to gather the family for a dinner at the end of the week, you expect to enjoy a nice meal and conversation in a good restaurant like this one. Unfortunately that was not the case here and I’m very disappointed because I have been a customer at this location for a long time. I know they can do better.
Last piece; ambience was adequate, the music kept at a nice comfortable level and the service by Jose was somehow good despite the horrible food. We are never going to return to this location.

the noise level in the kitchen is too high. we had to move to another table. We could not even hear the music because there were two employees yelling in the kitchen constantly at each other. tone it down!

Hands down every time I come to Macaroni Grill it never fails! Great service! Food comes out fast, the waiters are spectacular, very friendly and attentive. My favorite dish is Pasta Di Madre with one glass of red sangria and it gets your night started. I definitely recommend this restaurant over Cheesecake and Olive Gardens. :)

The food is simply amazing. I have tried the Doral location as well as the Kendall one and jt is just the same. Great service. Delicious food. Family friendly, kids can draw on table cloth since its paper (just as if you were in Italy) and the prices are wallet friendly
I am italian and honestly the food here is the closest to Rome cuisine I have had in the US.
This is must go place.

So its been Two Weeks and the bar bug infestation continues. When you go take a look at the lights above the bar and wonder what’s in your drinks. I bet they have something in those liquor bottles behind the bar. Manager has not acted as promised.

This place is bomb they have amazing pasta from your regular chicken parm to an amazing lobster ravioli. Although they don’t sever regular soda the only soda they have is flat soda. Bummer for us bubble lovers. We also ordered mash potatoes and we’re told they didn’t serve that either. Oh well its a pasta place so if your in the mood for some amazing pasta. Then this is the place for you.

Good food slow service the meet and great girl in the front needs to smile at people when they walk in and the need fumigation in a hurry.

I have eaten in at least 25 of their restaurants and they seem to go down the hill like Jack. Boring and almost inedible food at this location, but the server was very friendly. We shared mozzrella with glue and prosciutto crudo both of which stuck to the hot plate and when you could scrape a piece off and get it into your mouth alas, NO flavor. Then came my «chicken under a brick» which was not like any dish I’ve had in Tuscanny of the same name. Not crispy, swimming in grease and again NO flavor. Rosana had dry fish with a bit of fishy flavor or was that gamey flavor.
The one nice thing about these joints is that they are always fun to look at. The décor is pretty good and one can still draw on the tablecloth.
I said, «I luv Unilocal», in a heart.
Oh, I shouldn’t forget to mention the Baileys Biscotti Toddy with no booze and costing six buckaroos. Wadda rip! And then there was the ultimate insult: NO WIFI; a chain this big should have WiFi or are they afraid Unilocalers will write their nasy review at table.

There are few times when the service is as good as the food, do try the Lasagna and the tiramisu.
It is worth coming back every single time.
