Shame it’s a local place for Cuban food, but definitely don’t dine in. One server on a Friday night, she had over 5 tables of which ours was a 10 top, plus she was answering the phone for take out orders. Looking around the place nearly full with no food on tables, everybody was regretting their decision being here. Worst is the waitress there did not want to be here either. Girl was unfriendly and unresponsive. Food is typical so for takeout it could pass, but with many other options we will not be coming back either way.

I ordered a Miami Sanwhich, chicken soup, & fried mariquitas. Delivery wait time(according to the woman who took my order) 30 minutes. 1 hour later, I called to check the status of the order. I was advised that the driver had JUST left on his route. After 10 minutes, I received a call from the driver to confirm my address. At this point now I had been waiting for an hour and forty minutes. I called rinconcito to complain and they had nothing to say. I ended up canceling my order since I had to leave, and could no longer wait. Their service is not the greatest.

I was hoping to like this place since I live close by. Breakfast was terrible. Tasteless eggs, stale bread, and worst of all weak coffee! How can a Cuban place make weak coffee?! I wonder if they gave me crappy food because I’m not Cuban, and they don’t think I’ll know any better. Publix has better food and coffee.

Cuban sandwich… meh. A little dry and no frills. Came with potato sticks(like potato chips, only little slivers that are annoying to eat). Slow, rough service. I don’t speak spanish, and yet every time he came back to the table he spewed a bunch of spanish at me before switching back over to english. Won’t go back.

I have worked in the Dadeland area for quite some time now, hence I have tried EVERYSINGLE restaurant in the area and to be completely honest nothing beats this place. The food– the food is amazing, almost every single plate is crafted by the owner himself. As a born and(almost) raised Cuban, I eat Cuban food very often, yet the way they make their food is never boring. I recommend the vaca frita! Pricing– I won’t make it too long. 5 people can have full meals here for like 35 bucks. I eat here everyday! The service– everybody is so caring in this place. The owner and his wife are there every single day. This is a very family oriented business, and that atmosphere can definitely be felt. Overall if you’re in the area and you have not tried this place, definitely come in and have at least a flan! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

Ordered a churrasco(cooked medium) with white rice & plantains for takeout & received a well done churrasco with moros & yuca. Called & they were unhelpful. Not recommended

Great place to order Cuban food, I’m a regular, I recommend their Chicken Milanese, I like it without the tomato sauce, and it’s delicious. Also recommend their steak sandwich which is pretty good as well.

Nothing wow about this place. The chicken was overcooked(dry) the Piccadillo«nada que ver». I would recommend staying away from entrees and just having the sandwiches which are ok for the most part. I’d go somewhere else if you’re looking for Cuban cuisine.

Worse breakfast ever. Café con leche was completely spilled all over my food; omelette was cold and tostada tasted old. I called to complain. They said they would send another delivery with 45 – 60 minutes after I had already waited 1 hour for the first delivery! I asked for my money back and they said it would take 60 min for someone to drop off cash. They never came. Ridiculous!

Just visited this place on my trip to the Bahamas while I was staying at the courtyard next door. I thought twice of trying this place after reading the reviews but I’m glad I did. The food was amazing I had the morro and boliche meat very juicy and the cuban coffee was amazing. The fried fish and cuban sandwiches were good too.

Wow was surprised at how little they care about the customer, went their February 5th around 8, waitress didn’t offer any appetizers no drinks, so we just had water which she didn’t Refill until my gf got up and walked to the front to give her the cup to refill towards the end of our meal, sides we asked for some where unavailable and what we did get was cold and stale, service was the worst she came to our table 4 times in total never asked if we needed anything or if the food was okay just came to take the order deliver the food and give a refill that my gf got up to give to her and then the check, avoid this place and go to an original rincosito if you can!

I have ordered from this place at least 5 times and each time the food has been excellent! Their chicken soup is the best in town. I’ve also had the vaca frita, ropa vieja, and arroz con pollo. All of their dishes are authentic and delicious. The tostones are also very good and crispy. Even the delivery arrives in a timely manner and the food is still hot! I have chosen this place as my favorite local Cuban restaurant and I think you will too!

This place is horrible. I live in the apartments here where the restaurant is and I figured it would have changed for the better when it went«under new management» and changed their name from«el sitio» to what it is now. It was terrible then and still has not changed. I feel like an abused wife. After bad experience, to bad experience I keep telling myself not to go back but I always end back in the arms of this horrible place called«el Rinconcito Cubano.» I went this morning for breakfast and just like every other time there was no one there(signs of a bad place). We sat down when another couple came in a few minutes after us. The waitress(same lady that’s always there) took care of that couple first. I placed an order of perico eggs and my gf the club sandwich. It took over 20 minutes for the sandwich to come out. The waitress gave it to my gf and walked away. I figured she was going to get the eggs but she never came back. After about 5 minutes we asked her about the eggs. She just walked passed us and went to the kitchen and brought out just egg whites and gave it to me. I told her I had ordered the perico and she said«ay si «and walked away. Then she got upset when I told her I didn’t want the eggs anymore and just the check. As for the club sandwich … It was good, but how can you mess that up? Well figuring that their croquetas I’ve had in the past, their vaca frita, vegetables and chicken and fish being horrendous, it was a surprise that the sandwich was decent. Do not waste your time and money on a place like this. Drive a little further to la Carreta on 117 or Sergio’s off of Kendall and 107 instead of eating at this place. This really is my final time EVER eating here!!!

When I’m in town I try to eat two times a day. The breakfasts is dynamite and very fulfilling. Everything is made to order with attention to detail. I love the chicken breast steak with the rice and beans at night. I travel a lot throughout the US and is definitely my favorite place to come to eat. Feels like home cooking and very reasonably priced. The staff was courteous and makes an effort to make sure my meal is exactly what I want.

I found this place earlier in the weekend and decided to try it since Big Cheese was packed and I was hangry. and always down for Cuban food. The lady who sat us basically set one menu down and tossed the other one as she was walking away. No «I’ll be right back» or «I’ll be with you in a moment». Right. Oh, and before anyone gives her the benefit of the doubt by assuming this place was packed. it wasn’t. There were two other tables occupied with a total of 6 people. No dinner rush, no giant party. We ordered 4 croquettes, a steak with rice and beans, and breaded steak with congri and plantains. The food was«just ok». For some reason, there were random strips of lettuce and carrots under my steak. I wish I would have taken a picture to post because I can’t explain just how poorly executed that was. I mean, I don’t need presentation to be a work of art but WTH happened on that plate before it got to me? Did they just throw my food on someone else’s plate and hope I was none the wiser? We never got refills on our water(the only thing we were drinking) and flagging our waitress down was impossible. By the time we asked for our check, she came back to our table, looked at us and asked«Did you get the croquettes?». No, we did not. Judging by another Unilocalers review though, I’m glad we didn’t. The food was ok at best. We will not be coming back. There are so many good Cuban places to eat in Miami to settle for this.

Horrible, the croquettas were fried in old oil and tasted sour. The caffe con leche was bland and the Cuban toast did not have enough butter ! WTH this is Miami.

Their breakfast is delicious and reasonably priced. For instance, an order of eggs with bacon, potatoes, bread and butter, and coffee is only $ 5.39. The coffee is delicious. My family and I enjoy their freshly squeezed orange juice. The fried fish is very good as is their chicharrones de pollo. Love their croquetas as well.
