I don’t know where to start, first of all when I entered the place was empty witch raised a red flag but since it was lunch time I gave it a pass. I ordered the crab pasta and I have no clue what is the hype about it’s bellow average. My husband ordered the buccatini with little neck clams it was a bit more flavorful them mine but still nothing to rave about!!! The texture was very rubbery like eating plastic. The size of the dishes didn’t help neither it’s extremely tiny. The entire place smelled like a restrooms and no energy whatsoever :(:(. I encourage the Unilocal reviewers to give a sober review bcs alcohol enhances the taste of food usually!!! I was soo disaster I didn’t even attempt to try the macaroon ice cream sandwich.

Unfortunately, I chose to dine on the coldest day of the year and couldn’t take advantage on the adorable outdoor space, I’ll be back. Tried the Brussels Sprouts(amazing, FYI more of a salad than traditional BS sides around town), Burrata(can never go wrong, especially when served with a pile of flatbread) and a delicious pasta dish.

Came here 1 year ago, loved it!!! Not sure why we hadn’t been back in a year but we went last night, got seated immediately, friendly server. Started with the burrata appetizer. It was delicious, soft and creamy, infused in olive oil and served with hot focaccia bread. I was a bit disappointed, last year they had a warm mozzarella cheese plate(the mozarella was the size of a huge plate), it was ooey gooey deliciousness, apparently that was a seasonal thing. Shaved brussel sprouts with warm gorgonzola cheese, sweet pecans and cranberries. YOUMUSTHAVETHIS. Such a fresh and flavorFULL salad. I could have had just that, some bread and I would have been set! Tagliatelle with tomato sauce, spicy pork sausage, toasted fennel and parmesan. Shared this plate, it was perfect amount for sharing. Spicy but not overkill, used thick noodles and you definitely tasted the pork sausage, but never really saw any chunks of it. Good pasta, not great. Now, let’s have a little talk about their new doughnut dessert covered in salted caramel and with chocolate glaze… it’s «homemade», don’t fool me, it was Krispy Kreme and sure glad it was!!! It was so delicious, this is a must have. It was the perfect dessert for 2! Looking forward to going back soon. :-)

Located near Wynwood, Proof offers pasta dishes and Neopolitan pizzas with classic toppings as well as interesting toppings like oxtail and lamb sausage. I was slightly skeptical at first because I’m not a huge fan of pizza but all my hesitations were quickly dispelled — the food here is AMAZING! After exploring the art district my friend and I were starving so we ordered two dishes to share: Angel hair pasta with crab, calabrian chili and lemon breadcrumbs($ 17): Bright colors, well balanced flavors! I was impressed with the zest and zing that the chili and lemon breadcrumbs gave to the pasta. Crab worked really well with the other ingredients too. This dish tastes just as great as it looks! Margherita pizza($ 14): The sauce, chewy-melty mozzarella cheese, sweet basil… seriously heavenly! The crust also had a nice char to it, which added extra texture and flavor to this classic pizza. A+ A+ A+ Wish I had more room for dessert. I saw the table next to ours order the chocolate macaron ice cream sandwich and it was the size of my palm :) Would definitely return if I’m in Miami again!

The food and service here is excellent. Everyone’s very friendly. It was a rare beautiful day out in Miami with low humidity and a cool breeze, so we dined outside. There’s a nice patio and the street was pretty quiet so there weren’t a lot of cars zooming by and making lots of noise. The pizza is perfect for sharing, about 6 reasonably sized slices. We wanted to try the pasta too, which are individually sized portions, but if you’re having pizza too, it’s just enough to also share and get a taste for it. We got the white pizza, which was nicely thin and charred, and the tagliatelle with a thick, chunky tomato sauce and finely chopped spicy sausage for flavor. Everything was delicious. We really like the pizza at Harry’s and think this is just as good, maybe better. I also love that all the pasta is house made! It’s a nice treat. When we ate here, there was a lady picking mozzarella off her pizza, and I was so tempted to snatch up her plate. Our white pizza had nice pieces of mozzarella on our pizza, and I think it was fresh bufala mozzarella. Very good. I don’t know why you would pick it off, and I don’t know why you would order it if you’re not going to eat it. Order a pasta instead? I guess I should be less judgmental, but please give me your mozzarella if you’re not going to eat it! It’s too good to waste. Thank you.

I loved this place. I had dinner with 3 friends on the outside patio and the lights and coziness made me forget how close to the street we were. We tried the oxtail pizza, a pasta dish, the grilled octopus and the chocolate pana cotta for dessert. Everything was delicious and the service was great. The waiter recommended some dishes and explained the concept behind the restaurant. we were served pretty fast and had a great time and it was not expensive. I will go back! The menu is not too long but for me that is proof that they specialized in certain dishes and master those instead of a never ending list of average food.

I came here for dinner on saturday night. I was between 4 or 3 starts and I decided to give three stars because of the following reasons: 1. Margerita pizza: I am a big fan of margherita, which also means I know when it is well made or bad made, and this one was good in terms of crust(elastic, well cooked in the fire pizza oven, slightly roasted) but bad because they put cheap mozzarella on it… come on, you cannot sell a place as a good pizza place with real fire oven, which is fantastic, and then use cheap mozzarella! the kind of mozzarella that becomes hard and plastic-like once it cools down… a big disappointment for me. Plus, the pizza itself was too salty. 2. The vegetable-based n starter, recommended by the waiter, consisted of 3 dishes, all of them very sour and based on vinegar or lemon taste, which made me tired very soon. The idea was goods though… three small dishes consisting in a very original beet salad with lemon taste, spicy and super sour cucumber salad and roasted eggplant salad, which was my favorite of the three. Everything came with crispy pita flat snacks, which were over too soon as we craved them with the strong vinegar taste of the dishes. It would have been better to put at least one of them not sour. 3. No complimentary bread. Even in cheap restaurants they give you. Pros: 1. Staff was friendly and food came fast. 2. The place is very artistic, it fits the area. 3. Small menu, which for me usually means few choices but normally well cooked and well presented. 4. The crab pasta was really, really good, real crab, a touch of lemon. Outstanding. 5. Prices are fair. Overall, I don´t think I would come back, unless I miss their delicious crab angel hair pasta, but I can eat much better pizza in other places.

Decided to try this restaurant for lunch after we saw Puja B. checking this place out couple of days ago. I am not a big fan of pizza unless it’s Very Very Good … well this place has an amazing pizza. For me the dough makes the pizza and the ingredients come second. Well Proof has this type of the dough that I can just eat without anything else on top but the black garlic spread with caramelized onions, fresh mozzarella and oxtail made it heaven. Their shaved Brussels sprouts salad is fantastic as well. Never thought I could eat it raw but the taste was so good, sweet and sour and everything else in between with added cranberries, walnuts and Gorgonzola that we finished it to last drop. Service is excellent, seating outside in the little courtyard made it even more pleasant to enjoy(finally) a little cooler Miami weather. Definitely will be back.

So yes, I am that person that goes to a place with pizza in the name of the restaurant and doesn’t order the pizza. We went here for a surprise bday party. They charge you 50 cents for unlimited still/sparkling vero water. Not bad. The menu has a section of appy’s limited this time, didn’t have the octopus I was looking for, however cool to know they frequently change the menu. We ordered the brussel sprouts– these were excellent, shredded with cranberry and feta, and very light refreshing and tasty. I’ve never had an uncooked brussells before, and I loved it. The crab pasta– this was tasty, and a decent portion, perfectly cooked, and priced @17, which was a great price, and good crab flavor. My only complaint was I would’ve paid a bit more to have a bit more crab. Loved the breadcrumb touch. The pizzas looked fabulous, as everyone was raving about the oxtail. I think we’d come back here to try the pizza. Especially if they always refresh their menu that’s definitely my kinda place!

Came in for lunch on a Sunday and were lucky to be seated immediately inside(they have outdoor seating as well). The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Our waitress asked if it was our first time there and we said yes. She went over the items on the menu and answered all of our questions. We started with the Brussel Sprouts appetizer. It was delicious! It had cranberries, pecans, Gorgonzola cheese, and vinaigrette which went perfectly together. We then split the Gemelli bolognese pasta with a scoop of ricotta. The pasta was very fresh(they make everything from scratch). I felt that the sauce was lacking a little something though and asked for some salt. I agree with the other Unilocalers that the portion was a bit small considering the price. On to the pizza… Ordered the meatball pizza and asked if she would be able to make it without capers. It came out just like we asked and was very tasty. We couldn’t leave without trying their macaroon ice cream sandwich. It was a cinnamon macaroon with cinnamon ice cream. That was absolutely delicious!

Proof pizza has beyond passed the deliciously unique pizza test!!! Pizzas here are definitely worth trying because they are all about what people rant and review about! :p This restaurant first caught my eye when driving past it when in midtown and I just had to knock it off my list!!! The first time I went I tried: –Shaved Brussels sprouts salad –Meatball pizza Both of these were aaaaaamazing and delicious!!! Then after reading other Unilocal reviews I just had to go back and try their: –Oxtail pizza The shaved brussels sprouts salad has been a must each time!!! The Meatball pizza is definitely a safer choice and sure enough each bite felt like I was eating spaghetti and meatballs lol and the Oxtail pizza was a more adventurous choice but worth every hearty bite!!! It was a combination of sweet and salty… loaded with cheese, meat and flavor!!! The waiter let us know they usually have new pizza creations so can’t wait to try another delicious Proof Pizza creation: p

I came here for a casual late night dinner in the design district. Parking here isn’t easy, so if they are busy it’s best to park across the street in midtown and walk or use one of the nearby valet services. The menu is small, but that to me is a plus as they put more thought into each item. I only tried the burrata with herb pesto and fresh foccacia($ 13), as well as the meatball and caper pizza($ 16). Everything was delicious. The burrata was the perfect amount of creamy and salty, the foccacia soft and fresh, the pizza thin with the flavor from the coal oven. I would have loved to try everything on the menu as everything sounded amazing. I’ll be back to try the oxtail pizza, for sure. I saw that they also offer delivery now, which is amazing for anyone who lives in the area.

Came to Proof on both check-in occasions to satisfy cravings for dessert. And yes, that included pizza on the first visit. Proof looks quite small on the outside being on the corner of N Miami Ave and 34th, but it’s quite spacious inside and there are some tables outside as well. In fact, there’s room for a huge fire oven that’s displayed behind a glass window so people sitting nearby or walking to the bathroom can enjoy a glimpse of them operating the oven to bake the pizzas. That’s cool — I like a little show. The art is fabulous, and what caught my eye is the series of paintings that depicted ocean waves in different colors — the texture of the paintings got to me. I even attempted to touch it. No, I didn’t get in trouble. Mwahahah. On the first visit, my party ordered an oxtail pizza(we figured, it’s our first time and although we just had dinner and came for dessert, we should try this place out with a bang). THISPIZZAISAWESOMESAUCE. The oxtail is so juicy and tender, I even forgot it also had caramelized onions and more. If I wasn’t so full from dinner, I’d eat half the pie! But a slice did it for me, since we also ended up ordering ALL the dessert. Yes. All. Well, not including the espresso. They change their dessert menu about once a month, especially to cater to the seasons. So in the same first visit, we had the vanilla macaron ice cream sandwich, dark chocolate panna cotta, and espresso-glazed donuts. All exceptionally yummy — the ladies liked the macaron ice cream sammich and the gents enjoyed the panna cotta(which was more like a mousse). Went AGAIN recently, right after a Unilocal Gets Happy event at J. Wakefield Brewers to satisfy our sweet-tooth cravings. Ordered ALL the dessert, again. This time we enjoyed the pumpkin macaron dark chocolate ice cream sandwich, sweet potato panna cotta, and apple fritters. All good, though the panna cotta wins this round, with the macaron ice cream as second best. So, if you’re in for dessert, this review may not be as helpful as the dessert menu changes a lot and you may or may not come across the mentioned orders again. But do know, if you crave a macaron ice cream sandwich, they will always have it! Will definitely come again!

Proof is amazing! The staff is extremely nice from the second you walk in. We chose to sit inside although they also have a cute little outside seating with misting fans. The inside is nice with some cool artwork adorning the walls. Our waiter was so sweet and really helpful. They have a few craft beers on draft and canned. I was excited to see they sold Sixpoint’s Resin, that’s always a plus! We ordered the Burrata Herb Pesto for an appetizer and then we shared the Meatball Pizza. They were both so delicious! I really loved everything about this place and I can’t wait to be back soon!

Came by for a late dinner with friends and it was FANTASTIC! Small restaurant with a simple menu but everything is made to perfection! 6 people ate, drank, had desserts and coffee and the bill was less than $ 200; definitely a WIN for the quality of the food and service that you’re getting. At our table, we shared a white pizza, meatball pizza, eggplant pasta, crab pasta, and I think everything on the menu. THEDONUTS!!! Be sure to leave plenty of room for those donuts because they are EVERYTHING. Wow, I was so impressed and the quality of the food or service didn’t diminish even though we closed the place down. Thanks so much for not rushing us out of the door. For that and the great food that you serve, you have gained another 6 loyal customers!

Oxtail Pizza Meatball Pizza Crab Angel Hair Pasta Agnolotti Roasted Pork Sweet Potato Gnocchi Truffle Blueberry Macaron and Sweet Corn Ice Cream Sandwich Glazed Doughnuts What’s good? ALL of the above. P H E N O M E N A L Don’t even have to go into detail. The photos explain it all. The menu is limited(not overly ambitious= just right!). Pasta portions are absolutely perfect for one person(don’t order it to share like we did the first time!) and each dish is executed with flavorful perfection. Each bite confirm it. Sadly, some things are seasonal so you won’t be able to order them a second time. Then again, I look forward to trying out the new items they will add next. Enjoy while you can! The restaurant is very small and casual. I’ve never had a parking problem because we’ve gone for early dinners, but I can see how it can be a pain. I can’t remember if valet was offered. Another option is to valet at nearby Prohibition if not. There is outdoor and indoor seating available. It can get a little hot inside if you go too early. It also depends where you sit. Away from the main door and in the middle has worked best for us. Service has been great both times. The wine list is extremely limited, but you can bring in your wine for a $ 15 corkage fee. Perfect! Not surprisingly, Proof is quickly moving up as one of my go-to favorites.

Not all its hyped up to be. Parking can be an issue depending on when you go and you could be in for a wait if you don’t call ahead to check. We were lucky to be seated immediately on a Friday evening ;) Onto the food… Although the pizza was good(nothing out of the this world crazy but I def had to eat more than one or two slices ;) !), the shaved brussel sprouts were perfectly flavorful and surprisingly good(even for the carnivores at the table), and there are no complaints about the service. The pasta that we ordered was mediocre(truffle), kind of bland, and a smaller than expected portion for the price point. All the food came out quickly which was a big positive. I guess I just expected more from all the amazing reviews. Sadly, we did not get to try the dessert our first visit. But I can say we left with full bellies and Proof pizza tastes great the next day ;)

Proof made such a ruckus in the months following their Grand Opening that I had to try this place. Everyone I asked about Proof liked it, but I made up my mind to stop by when it was surprisingly recommended by a couple of chef friends whom I consider to be successful and whose food I simply love(obviously). So after some wait and after the dust settled, I finally got to try Proof. I showed up on a lazy Saturday for lunch, late lunch I may add, as I don’t like crowds or waiting. The place was almost empty, something that is unusual for this restaurant. If you drive around the area, there is always people waiting to be seated at Proof. Not on Saturdays at noon though, as only a couple families with kids were finishing their pizzas. I was meeting some friends around the corner, and this place was near by, and bookmarked for way too long, so this was something like perfect timing. I sat at the bar, and ordered the gemelli with Bolognese sauce. The food came out fairly quickly*. I was expecting something a bit bigger, as in the amount/price ratio, but the portion was more in tune with the Italian tradition where pasta is actually considered an appetizer and not an entrée(or the main dish). Knowing that this portion was not going to fill my tank, I immediately placed an order for a calzone, something that they only serve at lunch time, and also one of my favorite Italian-American dishes. The gemelli alla Bolognese was pretty good. The sauce was really mild, may have been a bit under seasoned, but I liked how soft the meat was. The gemelli, which is made in house, was really fresh and really soft and chewy. I really liked it. Fresh pasta is another dimension of Italian food. I also liked the use of fresh basil in the food. In other words, the pasta was pretty good. Then the calzone came out. Even though it came out a bit too«toasty», I could manage the bitterness of the burnt crust. It was not inedible, although the amount of char didn’t make the calzone look any prettier. Inside the calzone were meatballs, veggies, and cheeses. The filling was pretty well balanced. I didn’t find the meatballs to be delicious, yet they had a nice delicate taste, and for that reason I cannot knock them down. They may had been pork and veal meatballs, I don’t know. So what do I take from Proof Pizza & Pasta? A very good restaurant that aims for the gourmet, yet it cannot make you climax. It falls a bit short, but the food is very well made. Proof also has a few beers on tap, and some wines for the non-beer drinkers and the purists. I may hit Proof again, maybe to try one of the more exotic pizzas, but then again, with so many places to eat in Miami, I just may not… The staff was nice and friendly, and I wouldn’t mind hanging out at the bar again. Cool place. Four stars. * «fairly quickly» is grammatically correct, so don’t even think about it…

Proof really proved itself. If you know what I mean… For starters, the menu is the perfect size. You’re already here for pizza and/or pasta, and Proof provides five varieties of each, along with a few appetizers and desserts. We started with the shaved brussels sprouts. I was hesitant because I despise gorgonzola but it was so understated and blended in perfectly with the pecans, cranberries and creamy apple cider dressing. We also got the burrata served atop herb pesto and olive oil, served with warm foccacia. Oh the foccacia… Why couldn’t there have been more of that? This cheese was definitely dynamite. My boyfriend and I decided to split the oxtail pizza and agnolotti. I enjoyed the sweet and tender pockets of pasta but the oxtail pizza stole the show. There was plenty of tender meat and mozzarella atop a bed of caramelized onions. Next time, I’ll definitely be trying the meatball pizza. We were stuffed but had to try the macaron ice cream sandwich. Tonight the special was a coconut macaron with pineapple ice cream… Can someone say piña colada?! It was delicious and we split it into four so everyone had a perfect bite, which was about all we could stomach. They have a good list of beer and wine. I tried a Rekorderlig Passionfruit Cider from Sweden that came in a can. It was super light and refreshing, which is just what we needed while sitting outside in the hot summer heat. Overall, I really love this homey neighborhood spot amid Midtown. Unilocal told me it was casual but it ended up being more chill than I thought both inside and out! All the staff was super friendly, and the food came out surprisingly fast. It doesn’t break the bank and is really high quality stuff.

C’est petit mais très sympa, le service est parfait. Une pizza aux boulettes de viande délicieux et nutritive. Un endroit en dehors des circuits touristiques qui mérite clairement la bonne note qu’il a. Petit bémol, la carte est un peu petite.
