I’ve checked this place out twice, if you are in dire need of bbq, it’ll satisfy your cravings, but definitely not the best i’ve ever had. Meat has been dry both times, which is not a problem for me but i know it is for most. All the sides are to die for though. Mac and cheese, coleslaw, cornbread, green beans(all worth trying). They have a good selection of bbq sauces too which is a plus. Great drinks too. The downside to this place? It’s so damn difficult to get a table. They have an inside and a huge outside area but it will always take over 1 hour to accomodate. Granted, we did go in groups of 8+, but then why not take reservations? Both times, we actually found 10 seats at the bar and waited and waited and waited on the table. The service at the bar is fantastic. Last time we went, we had drinks and dinner and as we were paying is when our table was ready. Check this place out but go to the bar.

The service sucks just as much as the food and the beer is expensive. The music is pretty bad too… doesn’t go with the restaurant theme.

I really wanted to try this place despite the warnings I was given… I should’ve listened. The food was mediocre at best. Fried pickles were bland, sweet potato fries were cold and the collard greens were not edible. And to make matters worse, the service was terrible. From the hostess to the waiter COMPLETELY sucked. Never going back.

I been in the restaurant business for over 6 years .It always pains me when good food gets ruined by not seasoning your food correctly. Came here with my wife and kids for lunch as we explored wynwood. My wife had the baby back ribs sweet potato fries and I the brisket with corn bread. We also had the jalapeño hush puppies. And a side of the corn on the cob. Of all those things two had salt. The brisket was season well and juicy. The sweet potato fires and hush puppies where also seasoned well. The Carolina bbq sauce was packed full of flavor. Now the bad. My wife ribs where dry and had no or very little salt. The bark was there the smoke ring was there. Not bad but not good. salt would have saved them. The hush puppies although jalapeño was in the tittle it had no kick or taste of the pepper. Also vey dry and gritty. The corn bread gets its own paragraph. I have no idea what it was made from but it’s not any cornbread I ever had. The flavor for lack of a word was weird. It was baked well but I would never order that ever again. For the price I would never go back. Sorry and better luck

Poor service, food ok but below expectations. Went first time on Saturday night for a dinner: 1. Long waiting list but we were advised about it. 2. At the bar where we were waiting for our table we waited for 10 min at least for a bartender to take an order of our beers… 3. Finally after 40min of waiting we got our table. Appetizer — chicken wings arrived pretty fast, and this saved our dinner as main dish took ages. 4. Our waiter was almost invisible, kind of «I don’t give a damn I have to many clients to serve» he didn’t check on us at all, we were waiting for another 40min for half chicken and brisket. When I asked him what is the status of our order he said«it’ll be arriving soon»… Hmmm what else you are expecting when you are already waiting for over 20min??? 5. We ordered: half chicken, half brisket, corn and baked potato. Chicken was ok but nothing special, brisket was tender and juicy but bland and boring. Corn was really nice but potato I believe would taste great if served hot. If hungry and have no patient better look for a different place.

The Brisket cheesesteak was awesome. I added some of the sauce they had on the table and it made it even better! The sweet potatoes fries were pretty good, definitely a step up from your regular French fries stuff. I tried the Avary White Rasqual and the Red Fox American Blonde Ale. Both were pretty good, I will certainly try something different next time. The service was pretty good. The place is a honky-tonky style place, be ready for it.

My Book Club and I had lovely brunch. Our waitress Andrea was amazing. We ordered appetizers and a couple of us ordered entrees. I had the Nachos they were phenomenal, fried pickles delicious, the peanut butter and banana French toast. The French Toast was delightful like peanut butter and jelly sandwich but better. We also had a phenomenal Fried Oreo sandwich, this was amazing!!! I also had a Sugar Candy drink that was good as well, I will insert picture. Our Book Club was a little loud we were discussing Parable of the Sower by Ocatvia Butler, a great book and evokes a lot of discussion. Our waitress and the other workers there just laughed with us. We had a grand time if you have a chance to go by ask for ANDREA, let them know I sent you. Lol!!!

As with most places that end up around 3 – 3.5 stars, the food here is relatively ok, though surprisingly, flavorless. Not 100% sure, but maybe they expect you to drown everything in BBQ sauce for flavor? This is now my second time going to Pride and Joy, and it was just as mediocre as the first time. My friends and I got several things to get the ball rolling, nachos, deviled eggs, and the mac and back. The nachos, a mexican restaurant staple, were the best thing we ate all night, at a BBQ joint. They are loaded with baked beans, jalapeños, plenty of pulled pork, and the BBQ joint standards of pico, sour cream and guacamole. These of course were made better with the addition of bbq sauce, as the pork really had no flavor on its own. My friend ordered the mac and cheese with pulled rib meat, in concept, this should be delicious, in execution it was very blah. The mac started with over cooked pasta, so by the time it gets to you there’s really no chew left in the noodle. Pieces of rib meet in there were not plentiful, and it all had, once again, no flavor. Threw some BBQ sauce on top of a bite, slight improvement. Lastly in the round of apps, the deviled eggs. Pretty uninspiring, deviled egg with pulled pork on top, 0 flavor. Probably should have doused it in BBQ sauce as well. After only enjoying the nachos, we were ready for the mains, which came about 30 minutes after apps, which had come 30 minutes after we ordered. My friends ordered chicken tenders(kind of a throw away choice at a southern/BBQ joint), the brisket cheese steak, and I had the fried chicken. Apparently the brisket sandwich was solid, my friend had no complaints, his house salad side did come with no dressing, but they brought him some dressing a few minutes later. The tenders I’m sure were fine, though my friend was too full to eat her food(she ate most of the mac, since no one else was about it). The fried chicken. fried chicken is one of those things that you think how hard could it be to make that well? Pretty hard. The chicken came out hot, it was crispy, the pieces I had were moist. but again zero flavor. On its own it didn’t taste like much, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t delicious either. I also think they let it brown a bit too much. I’m a fan of honey and hot sauce or sriracha on my chicken, so I asked for some on the side and ate my chicken. The watermelon side salad it comes with, sounds better than it is, the queso fresco in it really adds nothing to it, I’d prefer if they used feta, or any mexican cheese that’s slightly salty. The service was fine, if not slow, but the young lady was very nice at least. Will I go back a third time? Probably not to have meal, but for drinks and nachos during a game, I’ll consider it. There are better places for«southern food» within 15 – 20 minutes of this place, namely Swine, and Yardbird, though admittedly they are both at higher price points, but the old addage of «you get what you pay for» applies here. PS: if you’re from the homestead area and want BBQ, go to Shivers, similar price point, tastier food.

Hands down, the best barbecue joint in Miami! Located in the Wynwood Art District and just south of Midtown, Pride and Joy is only a short walk away from all the local attractions. The atmosphere and décor is very rustic, with beer cans and bottles used as chandeliers and light posts. The food was tasty, especially the BBQ Burger and the Ribs. Overall, a good experience, but decided on four stars due to a lengthy wait for service.

The food was good: — fried pickle appetizer with homemade ranch dip: the breading was great, sauce good — brisket cheesesteak sandwich that comes with fries, but you can substitute any side for free! I opted for Mac and cheese; wasn’t super strong and cheesy, but hit the spot. — sloppy joe with onion rings and side of sweet potato fries. Flavorful sandwich and yummy bun. The sweet potato fries are good; crispy and not soggy. I would definitely return! Curious to see how their bbq is. There were only 3 bbq sauces. Server was super friendly, hostess not so much.

Came here for lunch on a workday because my boyfriend and I liked the look of the patio. It’s a nice spot with pretty murals and string lights. There is a large selection of solid beers along with some local Wynwood brews and I can imagine it’s fun to come here with a large group of friends. The service was friendly if a bit harried by the lunch rush. But the most important part – the food – is just a solid meh. I’m from New York, which isn’t famous for BBQ and I don’t consider myself a BBQ snob. I ordered brisket with a side of mac n cheese. Brisket was fatty tender, and yummy, although the seasoning was nothing remarkable and it was missing some of the smoked flavor I love in BBQ. Mac and cheese was completely bland and no better than Stouffer’s fresh out the microwave. The worst part was my brisket was served with a slice of obviously days old bread. Not good. My bf got some tasty sweet potato fries to accompany his forgettable meat sandwich with au jus. It was so forgettable I can’t even remember what the sandwich was, only that it tasted like a tough, salty cheeseburger. At the end of the day, it’s barbecue. You probably won’t hate your meal if you are a non-vegetarian human because it’s composed of meat, fat, salt, and some cheese. But a dog would enjoy that meal too. If you’re not with a group on the patio I see no reason to be here.

Holy YUM! I just started eating chicken after 12 years of being a vegetarian/pescatarian/vegan and I’m glad to indulge in restaurants like these. The prices here are very reasonable for what you get. I ordered the ½ BBQ chicken and the meat was so moist and tender, it literally fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. The sweet potato fries weren’t 100% though, I had a few that were undercooked and a few that were overcooked but it was all good. The mustard sauce that they give you on the side is to die for, I had to take some home! Our waitress was very attentive and friendly as well. My only complaint would be the music. The atmosphere is great but wtf, house music at a BBQ joint? LOL Anyways, I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for BBQ or are just plain hungry.

I love Pride & Joy because it is what is supposed to be: a down to earth, casual BBQ place with good food. No frills, just good ol’, messy bbq. Their burnt ends are addictive… mmm, burnt was never so good. The prices are middle ground but definitely fair for the quality of the food, and the service is good too. Cocktails are more like a four star, but who wants cocktails when there is beer and bbq under the same menu? If you feel like your iron levels are running low, and your stomach is growling, Pride & Joy is the solution.

Hands down the best meal I had in Miami. Staying in south beach with my husband for our anniversary and basically found that all the restaurants in Miami beach are overpriced and not great. That is until we went to Wynwood. Being from out of town I can tell this is where cool people live eat and hang out. I had the pulled pork, fried pickles, and burnt ends. Stupid good. Cocktails are also really awesome, and the staff was really cool as well. We’re going back for seconds in a couple of days with friends from north of Miami.

This pub deserves a 5 star rating for being an authentic local bar and football enthusiast. Our waitress/bartender, Alex, is on point and even gave us a free appetizer for being new to the area. The brisket cheese steak is remarkable but Alex recommends dipping the sandwich into the cheese so order it on the side. The bbq burger is great but the pulled pork on top made it even better. The black bean burger is served with avocado & lettuce. I ordered the sautéed green beans with garlic which was excellent. I don’t know the head chefs name but hats off to him/her!

The smell coming out of this place is intoxicating. We had to walk a couple of blocks as part of out Wynwood food tour. The place is somewhat dark and so think it’s lit only by its doors. We had waiting for us a pulled pork and cole slaw sandwich. In Miami there are not that many good BBQ joints except for Shorty’s but this place looks like it has potential. Again, I will be updating my review as soon as go back and order from their full menu.

This place is delicious. I love ribs and have eaten them all over Miami. Pride and joy has the best baby back ribs I’ve ever had. They are never burnt and are the most succulent ribs. The meat falls off the bones. Hands down the best ever! Their Mac and cheese(Mac n back) has chunks of baby back rib meat. It’s to die for. The baked beans are delicious as well. The fresca cheese roasted corn was also delicious. The service is friendly and the food comes out in like 10 minutes. It’s super quick. I was surprised. The first time I came here we faced a huge wait but it was a Saturday night and we were a huge party of like 14 so it’s understandable. However I totally recommend this place!

Pride and Joy has the perfect mix of relaxed meets trendy in terms of the atmosphere, drinks, and food. It’s located in the outskirts of Midtown, so it’s a different vibe from Brickell and the surrounding areas. They have picnic tables for outside seating and inside they have a great bar. The music choice was on point!(90’s alternative). For the food– I recommend the wings for sure as an appetizer and if you are into BBQ– the ribs looked very good. Being from the South, I have high expectations, for BBQ so I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars for the food. The best thing was the dessert– fried oreos(how could you go wrong?) The drinks were very good! I ordered the dark and partly cloudy(a remix of a dark and stormy). I would come back here for happy hour and maybe the wings, but the rest of the food wasn’t to die for.

During our«stay-cation» we wanted to try as many good local Miami spots as we could and this one was on my radar! The mouthwatering pictures made me a believer that this would be better than our Broward BBQ favorite! We were sorely let down… We decided to sit at the bar inside were waiting over 15 mins for our bartender, Shane to even acknowledge us. He is a total space case and shouldn’t be behind the bar in my opinion, if you can’t even say hi to your guest telling them you will be with them in a minute which eventually once that 15 mins was up he did indeed said that. By this point I’m turned off but since we are already here let’s order and see if the food is any good. Our order finally arrives and we couldn’t have been more turned off by the lack of flavor and overall taste of our items. I ordered the Baby Back ½ Rack of Ribs and my husband got the Classic Pulled Pork Sandwich. Our side included Baked Beans that tasted just like Bush’s Baked Beans; the Mac n Cheese was dry and flavorless. The Corn Bread Muffins could of been better but they also could of been much worse. Our entrees were the ultimate disappointment, I mean look at that sad, sad bun on the«Classic» Pulled Pork Sandwich. Horribly dry meat that the sauce did not liven up. My Baby Back Ribs had a smoke flavor but were v.e.r.y tough. After our below par food we again had to wait on Shane to get his act together. I mean watching this guy work is stressful alone rather than actually needing something from him. You can get better service and BBQ at a nearby not even BBQ joint. I recommend that then trying this place.
