Mr & Mrs Bun

I to, like other people was excited to try this place out. I decided to have lunch with my husband today and since I had bookmarked this place a long time ago it seem like the best choice. Let’s start off by saying they open at 11:30 am, we were there at 12:10PM. We walked in and this tiny little place was PACKED!!! 15 people decided to take up more than half of the restaurant with their group leaving only 2 tables for everyone else which were occupied. Why would they allow this? They should have a policy, if you have a HUGE party you need to reserve or look elsewhere since you’re going to be taking up the whole place. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait. I said how? No tables had food, they just opened! I knew it was a lie. Too bad, I was looking forward to it. I guess I’ll update if and when I ever go back.

There’s no question as to why this place has perfect ratings — BECAUSE IT’S PERFECT.
I was in Miami for a couple of days for my brother’s graduation and we needed a place to eat after going to the airboat rides nearby and THANK YOU Unilocal FOR HELPING ME
FIND THIS GEM.
I don’t know if there is anything that’s made here that isn’t good. The Grilled Cheese — amazing. The Tomato Soup — impeccable (and we got lucky that it was a rainy day). The Pulled Pork sandwich — to die for.
Lastly, I’d recommend leaving room for dessert. The best Cuban coffee as well as some of the yummiest puddings ever. We had a variety including the Teramisu and the Nutella, both so good.
All in all, this place is a must if you’re in Miami. You’ll thank me later.

I have eaten here twice; once dined in, once take out. Both times, the food was well-​prepared without fault. Everything fresh and well-​cooked, as ordered.
My favorite time was dining in. I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the small location where you’d least expect it to be. Their menu goes from «oh I know that!» to «what the heck is a — – ??» and it was fun both times to try something I’d never heard of before and to find it delicious.
The customer service is seamless, and not once do you ever wonder if they remember you’re there. Perhaps this has as much to do with its size as with the very attentive hostess/​business owner/​waitress who truly seems as though she enjoys everything about her restaurant. The desserts are the 2^nd best part, though for some, probably the best. With so many combinations to choose from, you begin to wonder if you aren’t looking at the Dessert section in a cooking book. Have recommended it various times and will continue doing so.

Everything is great at this place! Food & service. They have delicious smoothies & desserts! I suggest having the pulled rib sandwich and the sweet potato fries!

I went here for lunch one day and I ordered the lunch that came with the Jaela sandwich and ahi de gallina bites. The sandwich was fresh and tasted amazing, the portion was huge as well! The ahi de gallina bites also tasted really good and I believe it came with 4 of them. Over all everything tasted great and was a great value. I took away one star because when I ordered something to drink they gave me a dirty cup that had lipstick on it.

Their food is so GOOD! They are very attentive to their customers. I am always dreaming of going back and having their Short Rib Sandwich. Their desserts are out of this world delicious. The owners were so nice to come by and see how we liked the food and talk with us.
The restaurant is small and cozy with plenty of parking.
I wish they had more sandwiches.

Tried Mr & Mrs Bun last night for dinner. The place is small, and cute! Very casual place, Loved the decorations and the attention they gave.
I had the short rib with fries and my husband had the pork belly with sweet potato fries. My sone had the chicken fingers.
After we tried the deserts can’t remember the names but they were very delicious!
Definitely will be returning to try another sandwich. And a different desert! Yum!
I especially loved that it was a family owned restaurant.

WOW… this place is bomb! First I’m going to start with the ambience, it is so cute! I can tell that the owners are very detail oriented. From the plates, to the mason jars, I was mesmerized with the décor. It would make a great date night, very intimate. The customer service was A1, the food came out very quick and the owner was very attentive.
The drinks: we had mango juice it tasted like real mango LOVED IT. With every sip I was in heaven.
The Food: me and my mom ordered the short rib sandwich, I had read that the portions were small and it wasn’t enough food for the price… blah blah. I love to eat and I eat like a man and all I could say is that my sandwich was perfectly done and it was enough for me to be full but not over the top so I could have room for dessert. We also ordered the gallina bites they were delicious, however I do think when I come back I’m going to order the sweet potatoes fries instead because every person that came for take out asked for them with the blueberry ketchup. The dessert menu was so tempting, I wanted to eat everything but I chose the Nutella pudding since you can’t never go wrong with nutella. It was amazing ! A must try!!!
Overall pretty satisfied with the place, it’s a hole in the wall so beautiful and delicious a must try if you’re in the area.

At first glance, the menu may not seem all that out of the ordinary, but once you’ve had a taste of their sandwiches, you’ll see how extraordinary this hole-​in-​the-​wall really is!
I had eaten from here once before when I ordered take-​out. I was really impressed with the short rob at the time and I decided to dine-​in. My girlfriend had a hard time deciding what to get because, as I states before, the sandwiches aren’t mind blowing at first glance.
I ordered a fantastic Jalea sandwich that I couldn’t get enough of, while she ordered a boneless chicken wing sandwich. As she recounted later on in the day, she thought that the sandwich wouldn’t be all that great but as soon as she bit into it, she had an OMG moment.
This is a phenomenal restaurant not to be missed!

HOLY HEAVEN! I have found heaven on Earth and it’s called Mr. & Mrs. Bun I can hardly put into words how amazing this restaurant is. It is quaint, trendy and has great music — the service is also spectacular. The presentation of everything from the soup, the sandwiches, the sides and even the drinks is extremely cute. We started with the tomato basil soup — O M G. Simply perfection. This was followed by the tastiest grilled cheese in existence. My sandwich, the shortrib, was mouthwateringly delicious. I cannot believe that this place has been so close to my house and if it weren’t for Unilocal,I would’ve never discovered it. Mr. & Mrs. Bun is definitely deserving of five, six, TEN stars. We finished off lunch with the Nutella pudding and it is the perfect dessert. You cannot go wrong here. Must have for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack — you know, basically any reason. Love it! Will be back soon!

I just left this little hole in the wall and I am beyond satisfied !
We live 2 blocks away and decided to finally try this place out and in word PHENOMENAL. From the host, to the waiter, to the owners (I assume) to the wait time of the food and the food itself! Everything was amazing.
We got sat right away on a Friday night, and our appetizer was an actual appetizer not a small plate right before your food arrives.
We had 2 different sandwiches and both taste great! Will definitely be back! Best of all we can walk here ! About time Kendall got a great food spot !

I am so thankful to have this restaurant in west kendall! I was never a big burger person, in fact I don’t even enjoy hamburgers much. However, this restaurant changed my whole outlook on burgers, and now I crave this every time lunch comes around! Every time I go, I try something new and they impress me more and more. My favorite is the short rib sandwich and their minestrone soup! Thank you to the owners for always making my stomach extra happy
Even when you order to go, the food tastes just as fresh and delicious as if you were eating at the restaurant!

Upon stepping foot in this place, even before trying any of their creations, you already know that everything you encounter will be infused with the distinctive aroma of love and positivity.
The place is small, much smaller than expected but the whimsical and inspirational décor will make you feel right at home.
When you finally try the perfectly balanced flavors of the actual food, you will realize you have made a very wise choice and everything will come full circle.
Their menu selections are truly creative. I was tempted to order more items but, as it was, I already had plenty of leftovers.
Grilled Cheese: this is NOT your average grilled cheese. The flavors of 3 different kinds of cheese (cheddar, brie, and parmesan mayo) are being given a warm hug by freshly baked garlic bread. The sandwich is delicately grilled and crispy on the outside while remaining a mouth watering creamy deliciousness on the inside. It comes with a somewhat sweet-​tart berry flavored fruit dipping sauce that is the perfect complement to the deep smooth flavors of the cheeses.
Aji de Gallina Bites: who would’ve thunk it?! All the flavor of the typical Peruvian dish miniaturized into perfect little bite sized fritters. These come with a creamy huancaina yellow pepper dipping sauce that is an essential part of the traditional dish.
Lentil Soup: so comforting! Flawlessly seasoned, somewhat hearty bowl of cooked lentils with potatoes and carrots neatly diced into the ideal size that is not too large and not too small.
Service was warm, friendly, and attentive.
My only critique would be how small (I mean truly tiny!) this place is. That said, it’s still not enough to keep me away. I’m sure if they keep up what they’re doing, they will soon be expanding to a larger location.
I will most definitely be coming back here to work my way through more of the menu and also try some of their extremely tempting homemade dessert creations.

It almost seems futile to give these guys yet another five star review. You’d think that they were being solicited and paid for but they’re not. The food is absolutely that good.
We found ourselves at Mr. and Mrs. bun not too long ago chasing the Unilocal hype. Parking was a bit tricky to navigate but that might’ve been because there was a graduation ceremony taking place for the nursing school next-​door. We found the restaurant sparsely populated and figured we had gotten very lucky. The restaurant is small but well decorated, cozy and the servers all wear a uniform consisting of a Ralph Lauren shirt that gives the place a cool vibe. I’m not sure but they might all be related.
We started off by ordering the three types of empanadas which each had its own unique and equally delicious dipping sauce. We followed that up with a combo of sandwiches, the short rib, the pork belly and the grilled cheese. Again each sandwich came with a dipping sauce that was unique to it and pretty darn wonderful. I especially enjoyed the blueberry sauce that came with the grilled cheese sandwich.
We ended the evening with an assortment of desserts of which we enjoyed the custard most. Overall an excellent dining experience for a reasonable price and the added benefit of that warm feeling knowing that your supporting a locally owned and operated shop. We enjoyed meeting Mr. and Mrs. Bun and wish them much success with the restaurant.

This adorable spot at Sunset Drive and SW 157^th Ave was the perfect Sunday brunch spot.
We ordered the pork belly sandwich $ 9.99 and the short rib sandwich $ 9.99. Both sandwiches were extremely good. I don’t usually eat pork belly sandwiches because of the fattiness, but I think they did a great job making sure the skin was crispy and that there was still a lot of meat content. The sides were not included in the price of the sandwiches, but we went all out with ordering the roasted potatoes $ 4.99 and the sweet potato fries with blueberry ketchup $ 4.99. I enjoyed them both.
Clearly this was too much food for just the two of us, but we had driven all the way out west to visit Mr. and Mrs. Bun — so we also had the pie lucuma in a small mason jar. While the presentation of the «pie in a jar» was adorable, the spoons were too rounded and short. These spoons made it very difficult to dig out the pie filling and crust that was tightly packed at the bottom of the jar. It took a lot of effort to make eating this dessert look effortless. They do a great job with enticing you to try their desserts when the server brings out the tray of desserts.
Everything was very flavorful and well prepared. The sandwich meats, toppings, and sauces go together excellently. I would order the two sandwiches again as well as try something new on their menu. Service was excellent, friendly, and not too intrusive. Hoping there is a bright future for Mr. and Mrs. Bun!

BEST LUNCH SPOT IN MIAMI. This place is the definition of whole in the wall. Located in an old strip mall, you would never think to find a gem like this. Really delicious sandwiches. The name said it all. What really makes the sandwiches are the fresh buns. This place.
Very small place but they find a place to make it work. The décor is great. Also service is excellent. The servers were very helpful through out and we had a great overall experience here.
I had the short rib sandwich. I honestly have no words to describe how great this sandwich was. I leave it at that. Minestrone was the best I’ve ever had. The kids had the grilled cheese and I had to steal a bite. It was incredible, genius pairing it with with grape jelly. Also the aji de gallina bites. Basically tasted like little fried prices of chicken pot pie. Heavenly!
All in all I must say. I am in love. I will be coming here for lunch many times in the future. I highly recommend this place to anyone that loves to enjoy food period.

You really would not expect much from a tiny little restaurant space in this plaza but I must say, bravo Mr and Mrs Bun! The size of the restaurant gives you more of an intimate feel, no need to wait long times to get your drink refilled or have the waiter come back twenty minutes after you said you were ready to order. You are warmly greeted upon your entrance and there is a menu for Mr. and Mrs. (both are the same but I thought the idea was cute!).
I like that the concept of the restaurant is simple: they offer sandwiches, soups, empanadas and other things. What I like even more is that the flavor of their plates are so far from simple, you can really taste the effort they put in in making sure the plate has the best possible combination of seasonings and sauces.
We started off with some aji de gallina bites. The bites came out HOT and I loved it. No heating lamp or biting into a lukewarm appetizer at this restaurant. The bites were really good and the cheese was actually melted, creating a perfect little cheese sauce for the rice inside of this little bite. The appetizer might be too big for just two people though, we did end up leaving one poor bite behind (totally went against my no food left behind rule).
As an entrée, I had the asado de tira with horse radish mayo and chimichurri. I am normally no fan of horse radish or any type of mayo but this short rib was fantastic! The buns are perfectly sized so you get to enjoy equal portions of the short rib and bread. The short rib is well seasoned and you can taste the little kick of chimichurri after each bite. No additional sauce or condiment is needed in order to enjoy the asado de tira!
Ordered a kid’s chicken fingers and fries to go for my son, they were both delicious. The breading on the chicken used tasted more seasoned than your average fingers and the fries were crispy. Sad to say that I ended up helping my son eat his meal too.
My favorite part of Mr and Mrs Bun is that they had fantastic food, no wait times (went on a Saturday night), and they are crazy affordable. For an appetizer, two entrées, a drink and a to go order with fries, it was only around $ 40! Not only that but we were in and out in less than an hour. This will now be my to go place when I want a quick, affordable, delicious sit down comfort meal!

Mmmmm yummy is all I can say! Everything was perfect! From the food to the service! I went for lunch and I was very pleased with the lunch portion and price. I had the short rib chimichuri sandwich which was divine! The obviously home made chimichuri was the perfect fresh touch to the juicy and soft short rib meat! I personally do not like to bite into a steak/​beef sandwich and have to pull on hard chewy meat. This sandwich was oh so juicy and soft and tender oh my! I had it with a salad which is not an iceberg/​zero nutritional value salad, oh no! They serve fresh greens in a home made vinaigrette. Every leaf was perfect ! One of my pet peeves is biting into one of those wilted soggy leaves that leave your mouth with a foul taste. Not here! Nope!
My friend had the gallina bites and OMG those things are ! Just order them! Don’t ask! You may need extra sauce to dip them in if you’re like me!
Last but not least the tiramisu in a mason jar was delicious! Kind of like a mouse on top and the cake on the bottom. Amazing flavor!
What I also loved and is something I think is imperative in every restaurant, is the service. Although this is a very small place, the waiters were constantly making sure your cup of water was constantly being refilled. No need to even ask. Now THAT is service! My used napkins were constantly being cleared. The staff knew the menu really well. Last but not least, it is extremely clean :)

Este restaurant es realmente sensacional, mi sandwich favorito es el pork belly pienso que es el mejor, les recomiendo que lo pidan, de postre no duden en pedir el PYE DE LUCUMA ES EL MEJOR o sino la torta de chocolate que es una delicia… realmente el ambiente, el trato de los empleado es excelente, es asombroso como entre dos, tres o hasta 4 personas se pueden encargar de atender a cada mesa tan excelente sin importar la cantidad de personas, es excelente restaurant

Pedí el short ribs y pan con asado sándwich y le falto sabor. Para mi los sandwich tienen que ser de sabores mas fuertes. O le falto sal o sabor en la sazón…el lugar muy bueno, no kids though. Atención OK. Me gustaría pedir el shijau kay y pork belly sandwich para probar.
