Average restaurant with not so fast service. Burger for $ 9, frog legs for $ 3, alligator bites for $ 3.

Really bad… even bad is a nice comment. My Club was… a desaster, how can you mess up a Club? Better to skip and go to Havana Café 30mn down toward Naples in Chkoloskee. Great seafood and fresh fish.

We had a decent breakfast. The breakfast burrito was tasty. Again a little high priced but it is in the middle of no where.

If I could leave zero stars I would. The fry bread was hard, the gator tail was tough, and good luck getting a refill on your drink. The chef salad was okay but who could ever really mess up tossing veggies on a plate. The restaurant was not busy at all and it appeared as if we were definitely not a priority. All the employees huddled around each other not paying attention to any of the tables. When we asked for a refill we got an attitude from the waitress as if we were insulting her by asking her to do her job. I will never be back and will never recommend this place to anyone.

Located right across the street from the Shark Valley Visitor Center of the Everglades National Park, the Miccosukee Restaurant offered excellent economical food and great service. The building is clean and air-conditioned and has huge A-frame style ceiling. The kids’ menu ranged from $ 2.99-$ 4.99 with the usual items(burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, etc…). The best items were more traditional – fry bread, chili, alligator… All delicious! They also make a homemade dipping sauce and a cinnamon butter that are top notch. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood!

I’m sorry, but this place is horrific. We decided to stop by on our way between Everglade City and Miami and… wow. This place is disgusting. The alligator bites were just chewy chunks of grease: I’m a big guy and I like to eat, but I couldn’t even finish them, even with the warm mayonnaise-thousand island sauce mix I was given as a dipping sauce. We also ordered the BLT – fries were putrid, and the BLT tasted like it was put together by someone whose hands were covered in oil(which, given the looks of the place, probably isn’t far from the truth). Hungry yet? Air-conditioning is spotty, and plenty of flies to keep you company. OH! And if you like rude hostesses who don’t even bother to thank you for paying for your barely-edible meal, you’re just in luck! TIP: Please don’t order the sofkee – it’s what happens when you leave rice in lukewarm water and put a metal spoon in it.

Frog legs are tasteless, non seasoning whatsoever. Alligator bites are better but also nothing special. Very greasy since it’s fried. Over all I would pass if I were you.

Horrible frog legs and gator bites. No flavor in any of them. The only thing we really liked was the bread. Wouldn’t recommend it.

The fried gator was good but everything else was subpar. Worst sandwich I’ve had in a long time. Not that it matters but my guess is most of the people working here are not native americans.

We had traditional Miccosukee food and it was great. I had the Indian taco and corn safkee, which is a hot drink, that you’re suppose to add cream and sugar to. My husband had the sampler of frog legs, gator bites, and hush puppies. Definitely get the pumpkin bread, which is not under dessert but is sweet, for dessert. The service was attentive and friendly. The décor was mid-century cafeteria.

Like hospital cafetaria food in the 70’s, ambience included. The service was sweet and ambling — our bear of a waiter was dressed in traditional garb, and a customer at the bar was talking loudly into a mobile phone cased in a knuckleduster cover, which provided light relief.

My wife and I stopped in for a bite after an afternoon of biking in Shark Valley. The restaurant is located almost directly across from the Shark Valley entrance. Obviously this is not a 5 star restaurant so I did not expect great food or service, but I also did not expect this place to be as bad as it was. First off, it took the waitress almost 10 minutes to take our order. My wife in particular was extremely thirsty since we had just biked 15 miles! We had to wait 10 minutes to order water. 10 minutes! And it only got worse… after we ordered water it took ALMOST20 minutes for her to bring us the water. We were sitting there in disbelief. 20 minutes… can we atleast have the water we asked for please??! The place was empty, but the waitress was taking her sweet time. I’ve never seen someone walk so slow. She was watching tv, she would sit down and converse with the other waiters… and we’re sitting there waiting for a glass of water! I must have given her so many dirty looks that she finally took the hint and brought us our beverages. Yes its cheap food, and yes its convenient that its right across from Shark Valley, but I’ll never go here again.

I had a craving for fry bread. Yeah, I know… Shut up! I love the Navajo fry bread. A little honey butter and it’s like a little piece of heaven. I figured that Miccosukee’s could not be much different. Wrong! I walk into a dead empty restaurant with employees that practically rolled their eyes when we walked in. That should have been fair warning enough. But I did not listen to the little voice in my head telling me to run away. Order my fry bread, pay the stone faced lady and 5 minutes later I get a bag full of grease and TWOROLLS. On top of that, they tasted blah. Navajo 10, Miccosukee 0

Found this place near the entrance to the Shark Valley(Everglades National Park.) My friend and I were on vacation(April ’12) and ready to do the 14 mile biking trail when I thought we should stop and get some breakfast. Boy was I glad I did! As it was just about 9am there weren’t very many people in the restaurant(yet) and we were greeted promptly and seated quickly. My friend chose his usual 2 eggs sunny side up, while I had a Western omelet with the«Pan Bread» specialty bread. He had OJ while I had coffee. It only took a few minutes but we had our food in short order. I had some time to check out back and get some good photos of the slough just outside the restaurant’s back door. Our food was fresh, hot and prepared accurately. I experienced none of the earlier problems reported and it seems like a team of family members is now running the place. At less than $ 10 each, breakfast was a definite bargain and I’d go back here again in a minute. I wish we could have stopped back to try some of their gator or frogs legs but unfortunately, we kept going towards the Keys after we completed our biking with the gators inside the Everglades Park.

came here because an out of town(out of country, really) friend wanted to try gator and we happened to have spent the day riding bikes at Shark Valley. this place was a natural choice since it was right across the street. no one else was famished but we all ordered something anyway. the server barely spoke english and was pretty dang rude and not very helpful at all. there were 8 of us, so we took a larger table in a back room — it was FREEZING. they said they would not turn the air down for us, so we moved ourselves into the regular dining room. the food came. one person in our party ordered the Frog Legs. what he got was the lower half of one small frog. it was actually quite comical, really. we all had a nice chuckle. the gator bites tasted like chewy chicken, the hush puppies were the frozen kind… and the«green salad» wasn’t even green. $ 6 for the very bottom bits of romaine and 2 quartered tomatoes. the dressing came in a pouch. they even managed a way to mess up sweet plantains(or «platanos maduros»). about the only good thing i CAN say about the place was that i was there in very good company and that our beers and(yes) Gatorades were served ice cold. i have ZERO reason to ever go back.

2 ½ STARS This place is located almost directly across from the US41 entrance to the Shark Valley part of Everglades National Park. There is no restaurant within 20 miles, and it’s a lucky thing for them. I was prepared to wildly love this place. They claim to have indigenous Indian meals, and perhaps they do, but they’re not very good. I had the Indian Taco, a house specialty. I wasn’t prepared for beans & diced tomatoes on a bread concoction. I guess that’s the way they prepare tacos, but it wasn’t very special. It came with the ever ubiquitous fries, which were sub-par. My side of a small seafood salad was almost inedible. The contents were unrecognizable except for a few small shrimp, but alarmingly it had a strong vinegar taste. Not good. My wife’s cod sandwich was average. As I said, they are lucky there are no other restaurants nearby, because everyone would go there!
