This review is for the Empeeke Aaweeke international buffet at lunch time on Sunday. Arrived after 12 pm and the breakfast items were off the line. The baba savarin was very decadent and attractively presented in a baba cup topped with whipped cream and a slice of strawberry. The coffee was full flavored and the server placed a whole pot at our table. The BBQ brisket was well flavored, but was very fatty. The oatmeal cookies were on the dry side. The BBQ ribs were ok — could improve on the BBQ sauce. They served an avocado salad that was dressed in lemon /olive oil. It was the most delicious avocado salad that I have ever tasted. The flan was delicous, the only thing that kept me from having seconds was the baba savarin. The service was a little slow, it appeared that the waitress was having to cover too many tables. The salad bar had a good selection of toppings and there was a selection of fresh breads. The value was outstanding; especially for Miami at $ 11 per person, including drinks. As is usual for a casino restaurant, you have to walk through a casino floor full of cigarette smoke; one star off for carcinogens.

Uggghhh this place is so gross! Maybe im jaded but it was so depressing in there. We just stopped in for lunch here on our way home from shark valley. Went to hammock café, everything tasted like old dirty hospital cafeteria food and service was friendly but almost nonexistent. Save your stomach and keep driving!
