Food was good, but the service was terrible. Long wait for the food to arrive at the table. The food was brought out separately so half of us had our plates and while others waited. Also, instead of serving the kids first, they were served last. Would not suggest this restaurant to anyone who is hungry. I will not be returning.

My friends took me here the other day and this place has absolutely the best Colombian empanadas EVER!!!(Sorry Grandma.) Inside the crispy outside is a soft and warm blanket of a deliciously prepared meat and potato fusion. And the best part… they give you a little cup of this insanely awesome spicy sauce to put on top of every single savory bite. Doesn’t matter if you’re not Colombian, stop your daily routine and pick up a couple(dozen) of these golden delicacies!

As a newbie on the Colombian bakery scene, I went on a tear trying all the cortado and pan de queso I could. No empanada joint was safe from me eating up a storm. I came to Macita’s a couple of times while in Miami. My Colombian fam likes this place a lot. I had a few different coffee drinks as well as a variety of empanadas and breads. It was all very good. The empanadas were fantastic. We did not sit down in the restaurant, we just went up to the counter window outside to order. I ended up going inside to pick out a few things, too. This place is a little hard to find as it is around the corner in a shopping center, but is definitely worth the trip.

I love the Macitas on US1 in Miami and was happy to find one near my new place. I ordered to go one night a Bandeja Paisa for my fiancé and I to share. It was way more than enough food to share with churron, rice, beans, avocado, plantains, churrasco, amazing sausage, fried egg and who knows what else that I may be forgetting! We both ate from it and I took to work the next day. Flavors were traditional and exactly what I hoped for. I recommend to all. Will update customer service aspect when I eat in. Maybe a live music night.

The only good thing about this place is the bakery… I went for lunch and order One bandeja Paisa with carne asada(grilled steak) and another one with carne molida(picadillo) the quality of their meats is very bad, both the steak and the picadillo tasted like refrigerator, yuck//The read beans had almost no flavor and the Plantain Maduro tasted like it was fried along with the the eggs, sausage didn’t taste that good either, the only good thing was the chicharron and the fried egg. Food was mediocre. Service is ok. The restaurant was absolutely packed I assume because the prices are not bad, but the food sucks.

Hands down the best Colombian Empanadas ever. Really cozy and typical Colombian décor. Service was excellent and very welcoming atmosphere. Did I mention not pricey

I was in the area and my husband wanted to try a different place so we stopped by. We were promptly greeted and seated. The place is clean and has a nice ambience. Waitress wasn’t as personable as the first lady we dealt with. Menu had nice variety of dishes. We ordered a breaded pork steak and a pan con bistec. We liked the bread they bring you while you wait for the food, came in handy since we were with our toddler. We had to wait some time for the food even though they weren’t busy at all. My husband’s pork steak was actually pretty good. It was accompanied by rice, beans and tostones. My pan con bistec was nothing out if this world and the steak needed to be more cooked. Waitress took forever in between dishes(one dish came out before the other) and bringing out side orders, that was before she disappeared and we had to ask someone else to go get her so we could have some boxes and pay the bill. Not sure I’ll be retuning… unless I’m the area and I’m feeling like trying out one of their more traditional Colombian dishes.

This place was ok It’s small and chairs a very uncomfortable The food is pretty much the same as all the Colombian places… I mean… Is theirs a unique sancocho anywhere… Yeah Waiter are nice Clean bathrooms and tables which is good Their is a water fountain in the middle of the place… What the heck where you thinking owner of macitas… Are you aware that belongs out side? I almost hit my self with that stupid thing! Is their a specific reason why all your doors are tinted with 3% tints… I can’t see inside and almost hit a lady in the face because I couldn’t see her coming from the other side Anyways nothing out of the ordinary

Totally unlike myself, I took picture of the seating area but not of my food! Sigh! Moving on. My friend and I ordered a Bandeja Paisa with Carne Asada($ 11) and a Bistec de Pollo a la Plancha with rice, red beans and tostones($ 11). To drink, we both had jugo de mora(blackberry juice). Everything was good; nice portions and nicely seasoned. The service was friendly and timely. The restaurant was clean and loaded with lots of TV screens but still maintaining a nice atmosphere appropriate for a restaurant. No sports bar booths or vibes. The only negative, for me, is that the jukebox music was way too load. Otherwise, nice place to get some authentic Colombian food!

Went during lunch. 3 ½ would be more accurate. Disappointed that the breakfast portion was not available. That would be fantastic, or at least during brunch hours. Ordered a calentado, empanadas de carne and a chocolate. The empanadas were great! As far as the calentado goes, it was good(but I prefer the Rinconsito Paisa #1 calentado — they also have great empanadas). The empanadas were really good and I liked the picantico. I like the fact that this place is clean looking and has a bakery. Food was good over all, but I will stick to my usual, and have this place as a back up for when I am in the area.

We signed up this week for cantina at $ 26 per person. We ordered just for one person to see if it was enough food to share and it for sure was. It comes with a meat, two sides and a soup. And I’ve been told that I can substitute the soup or one of the sides if I dislike any of them. So far all the food has been excellent!

3.5 stars would be a bit more accurate. By the looks of the outside, we pictured a small cafeteria with a few tables. To our surprise, it was a really nice atmosphere. Nice modernish Colombian restaurant that I believe has a very small bar towards the back. We didn’t stay and eat but we did get food to go. The woman that helped us was very nice and attentive. We ordered empanadas which were delicious, the chile was good but missing some juice, the almojabanas were awesome and the chicharones were good but really fatty and the arepas were okay… I’ll probably be back since it is by my house and I LOVE almojabanas

A little pricey for the type of food you get and I’m sorry but $ 3.75 for an orange juice is way too much. If it was $ 2.75 or $ 2.50 okay but 3.75? And serving it to me sour and not sweetened is not cool. The second time I went to the pick up window in the morning they ignored me for a full 3 minutes and someone in the background kept saying out loud«closed!» when they were in fact open.

Hands down the best empanadas in Miami! They are crunchy and their filling is really good. A taste of Colombia in my mouth, I could live on these empanadas! They’re just perfect!

I’ve gone several times to this place. The service is horrible !!! The 2 last times I went the forgot my fathers order for some reason and he got his meal about 20 minutes after everyone else. I had to get up and walk up to a waitress to ask for some more water. And the food isn’t all that great. I can definitely cook a better breakfast and I don’t even cook. I asked for cheese in my scrambled eggs and when my plate got there it had 3 slices of American cheese still cold on too of the eggs … Horrible won’t be going back… I gave it 2 stars only because the waitress was kind of nice …

Overall a good place… at least at the time we went. Came here with my family that was in the mood for some Colombian food. Wife had the sancocho and she said it was very good(she’s Colombian btw). The bandeja paisa was decent, good sized servings and everything was well cooked. The staff was friendly and on point with service. Good Colombian music played in restaurant. Restaurant was clean. Prices are okay.

Decided to try their breakfast one day a few months back. I was disappointed as I was expecting a traditional Colombian breakfast instead I got toast and café con leche, that I can get at any latin place.

We were very excited about the new Macitas as we love the one on 184 and US1 and this one is 5 minutes from home. But the excitement quickly faded as we experienced very slow service, and a server that couldn’t speak any English. Expecting the huge portions we were used to, we were very surprised at the size of the $ 20 churrasco(I think it used to be about 15 dollars and twice the size!); the arepa was pale and undercooked; and the fish fillet(unnamed species of fish!) was mushy and had some very funky flavor. I was sooooo disappointed. This place needs to improve quickly! I would rather drive to Perrine than go back here.
