Tired of going to the same Colombian Restaurants, wanted to try out a new place, and after a little research I found this little place and decided to go give it a try. Located on bird road, it can’t be missed, and parking is convenient, but it was absolutely packed on a Thursday during lunch hours. As soon as we went inside, we were greeted and told to sit wherever we pleased, the restaurant is cozy and homey. The only negative thing I found is that they only had 2 waitresses for the whole restaurant, and service was beyond slow, we had to wait more than 10 minutes for someone to come to our table and bring the menus. Our waitress was nice and she did her best to accommodate us, but the wait time was ridiculous. We ordered Bandeja Paisa, and it was absolutely delicious, huge portion and the quality of the meat and the ingredients were good and savory, tender meat, one of the best chicharron I’ve had, totally worth the wait! we also had for dessert«postre de natas» that never disappoints… I will definitely go back soon.

This was such a nice surprise. The service is excellent. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. The empanada was yummy and I would recommend adding some of the chilli that is on the table. It gives it such a great kick. Ordered the small Sancocho and it was really huge! It has plenty of delicious meat and vegetables. I would recommend to add a good amount of the chopped cilantro. The Bandeja Paisa was pretty good… although I would didn’t care much for the red beans, the rest was delicious. Althoigh not house made, the chantilly dessert was amazing. If I’m in the neighborhood again would definitely come back here to eat.

This is the closest thing I’ve had to legitimate Colombian food living in Miami. You can’t go wrong with the simple yet expansive menu and great service. If you want the classic dish and you’re a fan of churrasco then definitely go with that. I don’t eat much red meat so I had the arroz con pollo and WOW! Seriously incredible. I also recommend a portion of empanadas to start. The portions are huge so beware… Either share with a friend or expect to take a big nap afterwards.

My sisters love coming here for the bandeja paisa — I love coming here for their chili sauce. It makes me cry everytime but it’s so addictive. If you aren’t into loud music do not come on a weekend evening though, it can get a bit loud.

3.5 would be more accurate Ended up here, as we were starving and this was the first place we came across. I didn’t have such a great experience as Colombian(like most latin places) mainly consists of meaty items, which I don’t eat — - yes, a cuban who doesn’t eat pork, that’s me. I can usually make due with ordering fish or side items, but the fish was a bit over the prince range I was going for today, and as for side items, well there wasn’t much to choose from. I ordered my daughter food from kids menu. We like to eat as healthy as possible so got her grilled chicken, that came with fries and white rice. I asked if fries could be substituted for veggies or salad — no can do, they said. Double carbs, eh? No wonder we have an obesity problem. As for me, I made due with a cheese tequeno and ended up ordering a posto bono drink as they did not have sparkling water(reg water tasted a bit funny). My friend ordered the badeja Paisa and enjoyed it! So that’s a plus! Service: Good going on great. They were attentive, brought food promptly, and were nice enough to give our toddles a lollipop along with many smiles. Atmosphere: it was ok. Odd placing of colums and rails in restaurant. They sort of work as deciders, I guess. Aside from that, the glass on top of table kept sliding off… a bit of a mission which toddlers. Would I return? Not on own, but if anyone is in mood for Colombian, not a bad option. *****IMPORTANT Side note: exiting is terrible!!! There is zero visibility. One of the main reasons I kept two starts. They should remove the wall that faces bird road. Very dangerous.

Been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years and has not changed at all! Churrasco is a must here with their oversized ‘tostones’ and the Colombian empanadas are best here! Must visit.

My husband and I had been searching for Columbian restaurant to try out for the first time and a good friend recommended this place, man are we glad we came here. The hospitality was exceptional and the food was delicious! The owner came over to our table a couple of times and asked how was it and even offered our baby a soup, which she loved and of course my other«big baby»(husband) loved his meal too. We will be returning soon with the whole family.

This is about my 4th or 5th visit to Los Arrieros. Have yet to be disappointed. This place is a lot busier during lunch than it is for dinner. At least that’s been my experience. Parking can be an issue during peak lunch hours. Ambience/Atmosphere: This is a very casual, bordering on divey restaurant. It gives you a very authentic rustic Colombian feel. Somewhat as if you were in some type of hacienda. But it’s an old place. If you’re looking for fancy this is not the place to go to. Having said that it has it’s own character I guess. Nothing to write home about. Just a very old, casual restaurant. Somewhat cafeteria like. Service: Service has always been very prompt and friendly. With the exception of my last visit where I had to remind them of my request for water twice, I have never had any complaints. The servers are all friendly and very attentive. Food: Very good Bandeja Paisa. It’s a very satisfying plate with a bit of everything. A very tender piece of carne asada, a huge tostones, plantains, rice with beans, a fried egg and chicharrones that are usually very crispy. Better bring an appetite. Overall, very good, homestyle, Colombian food.

I’ve always loved the food from here, but when we went the other day for lunch it wasn’t too busy but the food took FOREVER to come out! My husband was about ready to walk out and leave them the worst reviews ever. But as he was saying that then they finally brought the food, which was very good. But we definitely won’t be back for lunch when my husband has to be at a meeting by a certain time.

My favorite Colombian food restaurant in the nation. It’s authentic and consistent. The staff has never changed and they’re so friendly. Friday & Saturdays they have typical Colombian entertainment, and it’s fun! Eat here!

Being from the motherland I often have high expectations about Colombian places– which can be bad bad bad. and that is exactly what happened here. First of all this place is just too crowded for my taste. The tables are so close that you have no privacy, and practically can hear every conversation around you. There is also very little parking space… another fail! Now for the food– I tried the empanadas which kinda left me a little«blah”– too mushy perhaps.– The juices where good, nice and fresh. I had steak which was good, but for some reason it just lacked that little something… Dessert– I did not even bother with because tres, cuatro or whatever leches exit in every corner of Miami, they really need to step itup and get some variety because I KNOW there are more things than that which can be more authentic. I just do not see myself coming back here again. I rather make the food myself… It is what it is.

I’ve been to Los Arrieros twice this past year. It’s a Colombian restaurant with music and good food. I enjoy the carne asada the most and the tostones are great ! Nice place to bring the family and the prices are reasonable too!

I can say one thing for sure. This is the best bandeja paisa in the area. I have had my share of bandejas paisa, and this one is the best so far. To start off, the beans are original«cargamanto» beans and they are delicious. The steak is the most tender carne asada I have had at a Colombian restaurant, and the chicharron the longest and crispier in town. The sweet plantain and the delicious meaty arepa(instead of toston) that complement the bandeja make this dish great. Simply great. Then, of course, is the rest of the menu. I also tried the sancocho, which is another traditional Colombian dish, and I wasn’t impressed. At all. I noticed the lack of soups on the menu, which is unlikely at other Colombian restaurants. With the sancocho, the only other soup was the mondongo. I found that strange, since Colombian food specializes in stew-like-soups and most Colombian restaurants normally carry a large variety. About the restaurant, it is of a rustic décor. I felt that I was transported to the outskirts of Medellin, in the mountains, to a rural restaurant where travelers stop on their travels through the country. I somewhat expected colorful buses to drive by and lift up the dirt that sits on the side of the road. The green tablecloths and the wooden beams inside the restaurant also give the feel of an old hacienda, which would make this spot the typical paisa restaurant. Of course, time has gone by, and the tenure of this restaurant shows in its décor. What at one time may have been clever now just looks tacky. The TV screen showing a muted telenovela make the restaurant feel like someones’ kitchen in Colombia rather than a restaurant in the Magic City. Here in Miami, Los Arrieros feels a bit divey. Luckily there is some comic relief provided by the busboy, who is an older man that continuously complains about the owner(out loud) and at the same time is terrified of her. He carries his own conversation for the most part of your visit, and you can hear him drop some«hijoeputas» when he finds more work to do. He cleans the tables, greets the patrons(specially if escorted by a beautiful girl) and makes everyone turn their heads with his crazy behavior. He is the perfect jester to his majesty’s court. Coming to Los Arrieros was definitely an out-of-the-way experience, but well worth it and entertaining. It showed me a restaurant proud of its existence and of its people and customs, and that reflected on its cuisine. Despite the humble surroundings, Los Arrieros provided a nice dinning experience. A large fresh empanada filled with meat and potatoes(surprisingly bottom dollar), a great bandeja paisa all around, and great natural juices make this restaurant a sure hit. The«but» is on the lack of décor, a bit slow service, a limited menu and pre-made desserts, something I am not used to at other Colombian restaurants.

I have been going here for most of my life. They have been life long family friends and they make the most delicious Colombian food I’ve had. Empanadas are great, bandeja paisa can feed a small family, and the owner is such a nice lady and she really cares about the experience and providing good customer service. This place is just so tasty.

I really haven’t been impressed with the Colombian food I’ve tried in Miami since PrimArepa left, but I heard good things about Los Arrieros, so after a long day of marathon shopping at Dolphin Mall before my move back home, I decided to try it. I came just before 10PM on a Friday and the ambiance outside was awesome! It was very high energy like a club! There was a live singer doing salsa classics and everyone seemed to have a drink or two on their table. The closing time on Fridays is apparently«until.» I think I left around 11:30 and it was still very busy. For this end of things, I would say 5 stars. This seems like the place to be in Doral on a Friday. If you want a peaceful dinner, don’t come late on the weekends. Even the inside music was loud as if it were a club. In terms of food, well, that was a little underwhelming for me, I’d give it a 3.5. I got bistec a la colombiana and it was good. Seasoned right, cooked right, no complaints. I just wasn’t wow’ed, but I don’t think it was because the food was not made well. I think I am just not crazy about Colombian food. I did really like the empanada, however. I love Colombian-style empanadas and this one didn’t disappoint one bit. My boyfriend’s churrasco was messed up. He said it was good at first, but 2⁄3 of the way in, his steak was so salty that it was like drinking ocean water. Don’t ask me why he didn’t say anything, but he didn’t. He somehow ate it. From the looks of his dish, churrasco wasn’t their forte anyway. It didn’t look as juicy as I’ve seen it elsewhere. I didn’t have a drink, but my bf had a mojito and he said it was ok – not the best, but not bad. He found the mint stronger than he prefers. Service is really slow. It’s one of those places where you can easily wait 30 min after your table has been cleared just to get your check. Overall, I’d suggest coming on the weekends late night for a meal and drinks in a lively environment as your weekend outing or pre-club spot. Tip: Don’t get stuck with the 2person tables outside. They’re way too small for comfort.
