Lime Fresh Mexican Grill

This is the worst Lime location anywhere in the western world. Been many times to other locations without problems. This location is dirty, the staff is unfriendly, salsa bar looked like it had been there for days without being refreshed, and the food is not like it is at other locations. I guess they stay in business because of the downtown lunch crowd. Anywhere else and this location would not survive.

Like with all Lime’s, the restaurant is very busy but who could disagree, the food tastes great!
You start off with a bit of a line but don’t get discouraged, it moves fairly quick– also, menus are placed outside too for those who want to look over some grub before grubbin’.
Once you have ordered, make sure to visit the sauce bar before sitting– great selections of add-​ons for your food. Once sat (if dining in), your food is expedited to you and by friendly staff members who make sure you have everything you need or clean up anything you don’t need.
My recommendations are the Surfer T-​T-​Tacos and Los Lime Burritos. Any salsa toppings wanted, do the pineapple or tomato bean ones!
All in all, place is great with attentive service, delicious food, and clean environment with high ceilings to enjoy.

This location is busy but clean! We arrived on a Friday at around 1pm… directly after ordering, a line started snaking out the door and down Flagler St… perfect timing for me!
We had the fish tacos, prepared grilled. The fish could have been a little more flavorful but the flavor issue was resolved at the fixin’s bar. Highlight — pineapple salsa was amazing combined with the fish!
Great addition to downtown!

Ordered the 8^th street Burrito for pick up. The Lime in Fort Lauderdale is amazing, love the food and service… they never miss. This time however the chicken was burnt, and the tortilla was cooked on top of fish. All I could taste was fish, very disappointing. Won’t eat here again. I will continue to eat at the one on Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale but I won’t ever ear here again.

:) Nice environment, spacious location, service is friendly BUT — — :(three steak tacos which looked like they where hungrier than I was… Steak was sort of little tinny pieces and hiding from my bites. Running into the bunch of lettuce like finding a treasure but unable… Steak did not show just a few little poquitas pieces, so no GOOD… Corn tortillas tasted like old ones… Salsas could be better and fresher… Sorry an F in that too… The only fresh thing in there was the cilantro… Chicken taco was surprisedly more generous in quantity so an A… But steak did not come to work today… Sorry and sorry but this the situation and hoping these stars shine again… watch out for excellency and be careful to gain more and more staying and repeating customers type. People take control over your portions. Talked to these «reps» but got 130 000% excuses… No resolution…

Just had the 8 street burrito and it was great!!!

I love that during lunch, I get to go out to eat. I also love that I dont have to spend all my weekly allowance for great food at Lime.
Food here is great. The salsa is delicious and there’s a huge variety to be had. My food is always hot and on time, and if I have to go back to school, I can always take it back with some extra tortilla chips. Two original tacos and an original guacamole hit the spot.

The worst Lime in Miami-​Dade county. Terrible service and terrible food quality. The ones in Kendall and downtown dadeland are about a thousand times better.

My first and last attempted visit essentially because of being closed when advertised and store hours displayed as being open. Walked to the restaurant from the JW Marriott Marquis, to find the store locked and 1 employee eating while another employee was cleaning the soda fountain machine. Both employees looked at us then turned back to their actions without any care in the world.
Recommendation: If you really are craving the cheap Mexican food in this shady area of town, call before you venture on over to make sure they are still open even during their posted business hours.

–BUT THE FLAGLER LOCATION IS THE PITS!
Last time I was there my friend’s order was completely messed up, and I bit into a pointy broken skewer in my grilled fish tacos. To lure us back, the manager gave us a coupon for a free order of 3 fish tacos on a future visit.
We ‘attempted’ to use the coupon today… and as we were placing our order, the cashier had to hunt down a manager (or someone) to approve the ‘free’ tacos. Then she verbally gave the order to the cook (you see where this is going) before taking my friend’s order, ringing it up and sending us to the condiment counter. Surprise surprise when my friend’s order was brought to the table without mine. After telling us that there was only one order (ie arguing with us) the server had a cross-​room conversation with the cashier, with whom he apparently worked things out, before going to the kitchen and coming back to the table to assure us that he had spoken with the kitchen and «it would be right out» My friend was eating r e a l l y s l o w l y but even so, he had completely finished his meal before the much desired fish tacos (or the server) had made an appearance at our table.
Simply the worst service ever!

You need realistic expectations when visiting LIME and take it for what it is: the food is tasty, fresh, cheap and the self-​serve salsa bar is pretty great. If you want authentic Mexican or fancy décor then simply don’t come here. This is a good place for a quick meal and if you add a frozen sangria or margarita to the mix, you will probably enjoy it even more.

Go for the happy hour. Their margaritas are pretty great. Plus they have great food deals ;) Can’t really say that I would give it four stars, because and they’re busy sometimes the food it’s kind of sloppy and I messed up the order. However if you can get their attention the food can be pretty good.
If you have a special order make sure that you have a good understanding with the person who is ringing you up. It’s worth it ;)

Anytime I crave a taco, this is the place to go. Everything on the menu is really fresh and delicious. I’ve been to Miami Beach location, downtown location and also the location in North Miami and all three locations have the same menu and all three location seems to be consistent with the quality and freshness of their ingredients. Perfect spot to grab a casual and quick bite for lunch or dinner.

Worst management ever! The manager was new to the location so i was very specific with my order (I use to work at a different lime location so I am VERY familiar with the menu) he added multiple items to my quesadilla and then when I called to complain I was then told to call back because the manager was busy… I complied and when i called back the girl who answered the phone hung up on me. I called back a third time to Javier giving me attitude. I called back a FOURTH time. lucky enough to speak to the manager and I FINALLY got an apology. I showed up 20 mins later and they were offering me a quesadilla that was already wrapped up and made. Disgusting service and attitude I couldn’t believe it. I got my cash back and will never be returning to my once favorite restaurant.

Recommendation:
If I find myself here, which I rarely do, I usually go with the Tijuana Tacos. But anything from the Taco menu should be OK.
Conclusion:
Not a fan! But sometimes you just want something fast and cheap. If that’s the case, try this place out.

When I first visited Lime in Brickell I was blown away by how great it was, then they switched owners and re-​made a perfect menu. They switched from white meat to dark meat, along with alot of other changes that you would not be aware of in a matter of one week. The menu has changed back but always seems to be constantly changing.
Staff isn’t the friendliest and service could be a whole lot better, I would recommend checking your food before you leave

I always get excited when I see this chain wherever I’m going to be for the day and today was one of those days. I definitely paid a visit for lunch and the service was great in being very friendly and quick but the burrito I ordered was not the same as in their other locations. The chicken was a bit skimpy and the black beans and sour cream were all on one end of the burrito while the other end only had white rice. It was a little disappointing but I guess it might had been because I was there early for lunch (11 am). This one experience won’t tarnish the chain for me just yet, but it was a bit of a bummer for today.

What’s not to love? Some tasty, albeit, non-​authentic tacos and burritos with a great salsa and hot sauce collection.
Happy hour here is fantastic — can’t get more Mexican beer variety anywhere else! Affordable and apparently poppin off on Friday afternoons

Great happy hour specials and an excellent queso burrito. The prices are fair in my opinion. Sometimes it takes a while for the food to come out, and it’s not always as hot as it should be.
Some of the staff are great, some of them just look like they’re ready to go home.
Good lunch spot right in downtown.
