Lady Palm Ranch

Our experience at lady palm ranch was amazing !! Nirbaldo the owner has some of the best horses in town great for the whole family. I highly recommend this place we will be riding again soon.

Today on the way to school my five year old told me she wanted to ride a horse and were we lucky to find this gem, the Lady Palm Ranch. Nivardo works by appointment and scheduled us the same afternoon within an hour and a half of calling. The ranch is easy to find and access and Nivardo and Toya are very nice, informative and accommodating. The horses are beautiful and very well trained and cared for. I especially like that Nivardo’s open to letting you go at your own pace and comfort level, it was my daughter’s first time riding and there was no hesitation or objection to her mounting and riding a horse alone. She had Hugs, a beautiful mare, and turns out she’s a natural and did extremely well in the pen riding Hugs alone. I had Lady, another mare just as strong and beautiful. As first time riders we stayed in the pen a bit to get familiar with the horses then headed out on the trail. Nivardo kept Hugs close on a rope/​harness while my daughter rode and she enjoyed the ride, especially the trotting :-)) I highly recommend the ranch if you’re interested in getting out of the city and riding for a day, especially if you’re a beginner and not familiar with horses. Also, if you’re a calm and un-​neurotic parent and your child loves animals, this is a wonderful environment for letting your little one experience the beauty of the interaction and relationship between man and one of natures most amazing animals.

Came here to remember back in the day when i as slightly younger and riding on Sundays was a pastime. Everyone is really friendly and accommodating. These horses are very docile. For me in particularly i like to be able to be in control of the horse and run them a little if i can.
These horses are so accustom to been ridden that they know the trail back and forth and they follow each other very close. If you are a beginner and feel scared this is the perfect thing for you. I’m still trying to find a spot when i can actually feel in control of the horse and not the horse in control of me. Regardless, the animals are wonderful and the trail is long. I had a good time and would definitely do it again.

A few months ago, back in the early stages of my relationship, my bf wanted to knock my socks off with an abc «the bachelorette» worthy kinda date.
He told me nothing except be ready at 830 am on a Sunday morning and wear jeans and a light weight long sleeve shirt.
I was so confused, I brainstormed and thought of so many things I coulda been doing — boating, everglades tour, skate park, shopping, etc. but horseback riding never even crossed my mind.
Off we went driving down krome and the excitement built up, even though I am a city girl (aka not sporty, much prefer the a/​c, and with a slight fear of heights mounting a horse kinda freaks me out) .
We arrived at lady palm ranch– horses, dogs and flies oh my! Thankfully my uncle had a farm growing up so the whole environment is pretty normal to me.
We greeted the owner, Nibardo. He was a total sweetheart and really put me at ease. He let us groom our horses so we could start getting better acquainted with them.
When I saw my horse I freaked out, I was getting the biggest horse, her name was Hugs. She was a mature horse, 20 years old and a champion in several competitions, that’s why he gave me her because she was the most experienced.
I talked to Hugs a lot and told her I was nervous and to take it easy on me and take care of me (LOL). We understood each other. When Nibardo explained her temperament I knew me and Hugs would get along just fine.
The bf’s horse was young and pregnant, her name was Keeper. She was a little disobedient and moody at times, but hey she is preggo what do you expect.
We rode for about an hour, and within the first 10 minutes I felt very at ease. Hugs was a great horse and so easy to ride. Nibardo was great at pushing back or speeding up ahead to give us private talking time. It was fun and the bf’s happiness was contagious. I told him I was really enjoying myself but that this isn’t something I would want to do often. But that I’d be willing to try and do new things if it’s important to him.
