Worst tiramisu and bread pudding ever. Don’t waste your money buying it. Taste like water and sugar only

Food is great and very cheap… only bad thing is that they dont have someone cleaning up the tablets after someone eats and leaves anything on the tables. The floor is full of napkins etc.

I have a strong love hate relationship with this place. First of when I clearly state that I do not want pickles nor mustard on my sandwich it s not too hard to do so!!! my biggest pet peeve. That was the first time I had been there and I was not planning to go back. But I have to admit besides that dumb mistake on their part, the food is great! the sandwiches are huge(half for breakfast half for lunch big) none the less, worth the visit just state your needs multiple times so they don’t screw it up!

The only great thing about this place is the food. The service is rude and incompetent. I wanted to order my meal with a smoothie and the lady kept giving me attitude about not being able to switch the drink to a smoothie. Being that I can’t drink soda I asked for my drink to be switched to a juice at least and the lady rudely responded that only soda is allowed with the food. Like are you kidding me? Are you telling me people who can’t have caffeine for medical reasons have to just take the soda and shove it? Fucking ridiculous.

This has to be the worst service, the most horrific tasting cuban bakery west of the palmetto. We ordered an empanada de carne which was over fried or fried in oil way too hot and the meat was frozen solid. I told the lady at the counter and I was looked at as if I had 3 heads. She takes back the empanada to the kitchen and proceeds to give me another from the case but before handing it to me, she nukes it in the microwave for what had to be an minute and thirty seconds. REALLY? How about a fresh one people?! Why nuked? My wifes pastelito was still raw like it wasn’t baked properly. Last time coming here. Doesn’t even deserve a star. Good luck.

I gave this place a 1-star rating because the service is absolutely miserable. Their order ticket by number system is a complete fail as well as the customer service which is non-existent. They are more than ample with staff but some how no one knows where they stand. Not only did I have to repeat my small order to the cashier 3 times but the length of time I waited was ridiculous. Save yourself the migraine and go across the street to Dunkin Donuts for coffee and a pastry!

I do have to say that the sandwiches are really good and huge but I’m taking two stars off because I ordered five sandwiches to be picked up and when I got there the order was never placed I have even given them my credit card because they had asked me for it. I agree with the others that the staff really stinks but the food is good

Yummy Pasteries While traveling on a business trip my coworker he brought me for a treat. It was not busy and we were waited on right away. The cases are filled with lots of yummy looking pasteries and baked goods, hot and cold. I decided on a few sweet pasteries and rice pudding. Waiting to have them later with my boyfriend. I also got a baked, yes baked, spinach empaneda it was wonderful. Filled with flavorful spinach and cheese filling and you were not left searching for the filling. I also got a guava pastry. Again full of filling and very tasty. We saw others eating HUGE sandwiches. Maybe next time.

Empanadas asked for a ham and cheese they gave me ground beef and with out taste had a empanadas with ham and cheese same tasteless. Cortadito no good to much milk not enough coffee and it was horrible. One thing customer service was O K.

This is place is an unappreciated gem and great representation of Miami culture. The food is nice too, these ladies make some good pan con bistec for the LOW. And the empanadas de carne are crazy good. Open 24⁄7. Damn its good to have u Karla

The pastries and food is always awesome. The problem is this new system they incorporated. Where you have to order at the cashier, pay and wait. Doesn’t sound like a horror story BUT when you have employees who don’t speak English and can’t work the terminal(I’m sure the language can be adjusted to Spanish) it can become one. I rather get my number wait order my food and pay. Don’t think I will be coming back. Customer service had reached a new low.

Okay so I rarely write a bad review cuz usually I try to focus on the silver lining… However this place is one place I have to warn everyone about. So let’s start with the service cuz as Miamians we all know service isn’t great in our city so we deal with it but this place is straight up rude. I get there and look at the Bfast menu and I figured out what I wanted. The girl at the register knows I’ve been standing there now for a good 5 – 6 minutes and didn’t even acknowledge my existence. So finally after being ignored by everyone behind the counter I asked politely«is this where I order?» As the girl behind the counter looked up at me and straight up laughed in my face. So finally after a good additional 5 minutes the other lady behind the counter took my order for the eggs and ham n toast I wanted. 10 minutes later I get a plate of scrambled eggs n ham greasier than Danny Zuko from«Grease». Any Who I wouldn’t return to this grease pit if it was the last bakery on earth and I recommend everyone on Unilocal do the same! That is all everyone have a great day!

SUPERSHITTYSERVICE ! The food I got was okay, but I waited forever for someone to even take my order, and when someone took my order they had a nasty attitude. The only perk is that it’s 24 hours but honestly it’s not worth it. Might as well go to ihop if you want food late at night.

1 star because the pastellitos are awesome! The service is awful!!! You literally need to beg for someone to help you. My boyfriend and I come here all the time, but I think I’m taking our business else where. Please get a new staff!!!

Food is delicious !!! I love the pastelitos but service really suck!!! They are never in a hurry or try to help you. The staff is always talking about their problems instead of helping the customers. They should change the service staff!

The food and pastries are excellent however, the service is the worst I’ve seen. I used to eat from karlas several times a week, the past few months I’ve gone maybe twice, three if you count today… after the service or lack of that i just received I’ve decided it’s time to find another bakery altogether.

Everything is delicious, but the customer service is really bad. These people don’t care how many customers are in line, or if you’re only there for a $ 0.50 coffee, they won’t even acknowledge that you’re waiting for them.

Pastelitos…24 hours a day! Indeed this bakery(and location) has the most amazing pastelitos in Miami. You know how I know that? Because this little piggy ate a dozen all by himself. Now available twenty four hours a day at this location(Flagler and 83rd Ave) how can you pass them up?! If you come in between midnight and five am(12:00 am — 5:00 am) you can get one free cafecito to wake you up. Be warned though, it gets crowded and they follow the number system with an almost draconian efficiency… if you’re not paying attention when your number is called, they will skip you. That means… NOPASTELITOFORYOU! Tip: They have on-line ordering at for your convenience.
