Easily the best venue for comedy in South Florida. Although the 2 drink minimum is in effect, the prices are reasonable and the menu is assorted enough to suit everyone’s taste. Good comedians and as a sports bar — perfect! Plenty of screens and beer choices. The open mic is awesome as a show and as an opportunity to see great local talent!

I have only come to this place because the Miami Seminole Club has its Game Watching Parties here. I will not be back again. Every year I hope it will get better but it has not. Average food at best and service is mediocre. The server is pleasant enough but does not go out of the way for you. The place was ¼ — 1⁄3 full tonight and we had to wait for service. My wife had the house salad which she enjoyed and I had chicken strips that had no taste at all but at least they were cooked. Fries were overdone. To top it off, here was an automatic 20% tip added to the bill for just 2 people. No value at all. Like I said at the beginning, we will NOT be back!

I went with a few friends to see the Mark Normand comedy show here. They had bought the tickets for two for $ 40 that came with an appetizer and two drinks. I bought the ticket for one person and thought it would be fine to just buy my food separately. The waitress suggested a specialty drink of the night so I figured I’d give it a try. I also ordered a chicken bacon ranch flatbread. It was really good. I ordered a bottled water as my second drink. My specialty drink ended up being $ 16+. And my total bill for just me was over $ 40. I didn’t realize I’d be spending so much on food and drinks. They applied an automatic 20% tip on the bill. I don’t think I will be returning to this comedy club.

I came here once when it was a sports bar. Most people know this place as Gatsbys. Either way, I was here a couple weeks ago to see a show. The check in process for the second show(the one I attended) was really long and slow. It was also slightly unorganized. The service from there was great. Our server was pretty attentive. She suggested drinks. I ended up ordering some delicious Makers Mark drink that I really enjoyed. We also ordered the chicken tenders and the chicken nachos. The show itself was okay. The second comedian that went on was so terrible it was actually physically painful to watch. The host was pretty funny and on point. This place is interesting. I like the idea of having a comedy club in my neighborhood but I wish they tried a little harder to wow their customers. There was a guy heckling the main comedian and the staff didn’t do anything about it. It was awkward and kinda put a downer on the show. Also, the menu is really lacking. I wish I had more of a variety. Overall I liked my experience there and it was a fun and different thing to do on a Friday night. Hopefully they only grow from here.

Funny comedians come here. Not too famous but definitely worth watching. I came to see Carlos Mencia once and he was beyond funny! Never stopped laughing with him up on stage! Food is yummy I recommend the sticky ribs!

I was convinced to attend a comedy show down at Homefield Comedy Club with a group of friends. While the comedians were good and the waitress ok, I am very disappointed with the overall service and payment system for the club. 1) I purchased the VIP package for $ 40.00 which includes 2 drinks and an appetizer along with 2 tickets.(There is a requirement to purchase another drink per person.) * I was ok with this as it seems to be the same at every comedy club and I knew what to expect, or so I thought. 2) The show started a half hour late(which was to our benefit as we were stuck in traffic) but it became a problem later on when I wasn’t finished with my second drink and was asked to leave because the next show would be starting. 3) We ordered 2 more drinks and even though I saw a previous review that said a 20% tip would be applied I was shocked to see that it was applied to the total VIP package plus the new drinks. * More problematic was that no matter how you slice it, the 20% amount listed is not mathematically correct. Even if I add the«service fee» and the«tax» from the VIP package plus the new order and its taxes, it still doesn’t equal the amount I was charged. I was charged more than that. I highly doubt that our waitress took away the $ 30.00+ just from our table of friend’s orders alone so this 20% must go to the club instead. Our waitress was present but she brought us two rounds of drinks and nothing else. She also forgot water and didn’t give us silverware for the amount of people at our table. I have never had this kind of problem at other comedy clubs and I know that I won’t be wasting any more time driving down to the Homefield comedy club or spending my time there.

This use to be Gatsby’s way back when and when our married friends invited us out to Homefield for a comedy show, I was taken a back with the name change. When we got in, the décor was about the same, although the the menu may have changed a bit. One of the items that stood out was the Tuna Tartare. Very good! They now have comedy acts, which is nice to have close to home. The particulate night we went had decent acts that kept us entertained. But nothing out of this world. This place had a a lot of potential, but I feel like it’s missing the mark. Would I come back, yea I would, if I want a low key night.

The entertainment is wonderful and the food taste is good. But getting the food is a challenge. The flatbread items are served in a reasonable timeframe. But order anything else and you will wait an hour or more. if you get your food at all. If your in a big group they don’t remember who ordered what and with the comedians on stage it is a big hassle to get your food. Be careful too. With big groups they automatically add 20 percent for the tip rather than the usual 15 with an option to leave more. I asked for a manager because the problem of getting my food happens every time we go. A security guy came. When I expressed my concerns I was ridiculed for complaining. I suggest you eat out first and just get your drinks. Your supposed to have 2 but they probably won’t get back to get your second order.

First time here on a Saturday night, must say it’s definetly a great place! Highly recommended if your looking for a chill night. The waiter we had was great, the food was alright, and the drinks were good too. Definitely a place to check out if you live in Miami!

I have been here a couple of times recently and have had such a great time! Now, I don’t think you can expect to have the same experience each time because the comedians are always different. The first time I went we were all dying, the comedians were so funny my stomach hurt after the show. It was a Saturday 8:00 show and the place was packed. The crowd energetic and fun. The second time was a bit different. The main act had a strange sense of humor so I wasn’t as pleased as the first time, but the host was hilarious. It was a 10:00 show which is maybe why the(rather small) crowd was so quiet? The food is great! The dolphin fingers are delish. We’ve had the 3 course meal and from the salad to the sushi roll to the mahi/mashed potatoes/veggies it was all good. Now, this was all consumed after having a few drinks… The drinks are also good. Maybe they could try adding fresh fruit/juices to the cocktails like Justin’s next door. The service has been great too. Ask for Frances. She is professional, polite and attentive. She always made sure that we had everything we needed. So, I would definitely recommend giving this place a shot. They have 2VIP packages that I’ve tried and they are both a great deal. Oh and drinks are half off at the bar after the show. Do your homework on the comedian that is performing before you go in order to make sure you like them. You wont enjoy yourself as much if you don’t think the main act is any good. Go to the 8:00 so the crowd is more lively and so you can go to Justin’s(next door) afterward to keep the good times rolling!

Open late night and have in the industry drink specials. Food after renovation is a lot better. I have yet to be to the comedy club but want to check it out.

I’m giving it two stars because I feel I can’t justly rate it because I only had nachos and a beer. But they couldn’t even get that right. At least it doesn’t smell like most sports bars(I have to stop going to these places). We went in after a movie just to grab a quick bite to eat and it was the closest place. The beer was fine, a moderately decent selection. We ordered chicken nachos. It came out looking great, but it was an illusion. From the first bite I could tell how(what’s right below warm… room temperature?) not hot the nachos were. Somehow they were miraculously able to melt the cheese on the very top without melting any of the interior or side located cheese. The chicken was cold. If my girlfriend wasn’t so starving on the verge of being sick, I would have sent them back in a heartbeat, and I don’t usually do that. This place doubles as a comedy club, but the only joke I saw that night was the plate of food they served me. Save your money and try the diner nearby. I know they’re a sports grill/comedy club, but if you can’t even do a simple plate of nachos right, I shudder to think what their actual food is like.

Just started a procedure where if you want to start a tab they automatically put a $ 50 hold on your card that you receive back in 2 – 3 business days. So basically it’s whatever you spend, plus $ 50 on top just to have a couple drinks. I’ve never been to an restaurant/bar ever in my life with these standards. It is absurd to put guests in this predicament. They’re basically telling you«We don’t trust you so, we’re gonna hold on to your money for the time being» Mind you, they don’t even let you know that they’re doing this. If you like having your money floating in the cloud and paying beach prices in west Kendall then this is your spot! Cheers!

Five stars for comedians — Felipe Esparza!!! Review on location and staff: This comedy club is ok, has the potential to be much better. Brought back many memories from early college years GATSBY’s. Making reservations was easy, person scheduling was polite, Virginia I believe is her name, was very helpful. Check in process was also smooth(for us 8pm show), the second show(10:30pm) had a huge line for check in as they had to wait for us «first show» to clear out of room. In my opinion, they scheduled the shows with little turn around time. The service is reason why –2 stars. The waiter quickly came over to take our order – too quickly that is, he had not given us menus and yet he was asking what we wanted, he then disappears for 15 minutes or so. He was very busy, he definitely had way too many tables for just him. He was a nice guy, but he was given too much to handle. Aside from that, once food was ordered, it took about 30 minutes to arrive. The food at this local, is bar food, don’t expect good quality, but prices sure are quite high, not bar food prices, and definitely not kendall prices. Overall, we had a good experience as we went with living social coupon that included 4 drinks, appetizer for $ 60(we did order additional items later). If I had paid full price, I probably would have been more irritated. For $ 60, show was good and food was good. If they can work on getting more waiters on staff, this place could possibly succeed.

Maybe because I went on a Tuesday evening, but it was not that impressive. There isn’t a large selection of beers and the food we ordered was subpar. Something was also going on with the music in which the power would blow out. The lights flickered and then the music stopped. The place was short on staff. Only one woman serving everyone present. Again, likely since it was Tuesday night. But that made service delayed overall. Not sure I’ll return again. I missed it when it was Gatsby’s.

I must say I was impressed! The comedians were very funny especially Dan Soder, wow, what a treat, it’s good to laugh uncontrollably some times… Loved the food, all in all it’s worth the admission for the laughs and the food is tasty and not expensive. The venue is a vet large room with tables, the right lightning, and the servers are pleasant. Will definitely be back soon.

You cannot beat their VIP deal! For $ 80 you get two VIP tickets, an appetizer, two salads, two entrees and two rounds of drinks! I assumed at that price the food would be mediocre sports bar type food and was blown away when I tried the food, it’s actually legit chef made creations! Ribs, churrascos, mahi mahi! Super good and will. Definitely be coming a lot!
