For Eyes Optical

In response to the delay of the contact lenses trial shipment, they picked up a pair from a nearby For Eyes Optical location to provide me with. The contact lenses trials were great. After I used the trials and decided to order those, they unfortunately didn’t have any extras for me to use while I waited for my contacts to come in. It was disappointing however, the very next day they called me to say that they had ordered two sets of trials from a nearby area so that I could use them while my order came in. This was a great move on their end. It showed that they wanted to pay more attention to me as a customer after having fumbled in the first place.
I can say that the staff are friendly and that upon realizing they made a mistake, they stepped in to make sure it didn’t happen again. They certainly improved the situation.

I was waiting for thirty minutes with an appointment. The staff did not even apologize claiming they had «complicated patients». I had to leave because I had to return to work. Poorly organized. No customer service. Don’t waste your time.

This is the place to go if you want a great eye exam and excellent customer service. I have been going to For Eyes for many years with my family (my son has Autism) and I’ve always had a great experience. The whole staff is great, especially Marcy who’ve I dealt with the most. They also have a great selection on lenses, both regular and designer. I highly recommended this place to all.

I had a VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE at For Eyes with Optometrist Dr. Vasquez.
I was very fearful I might be getting glaucoma — a“sleeper disease” which one must catch BEFORE symptoms appear, or it can be too late to prevent partial blindness.
I made an appointment with an excellent but expensive Ophthalmologist — $ 450 just for the consultation!, glaucoma tests additional! — and had to postpone.
Because my father had glaucoma, I am at hereditary risk
For Eyes Dr. Vasquez tested me for only $ 65 total — testing both for eye pressure and a medical image of my optic nerves — and the results were negative!
For Eyes also checked me for cataracts — none — and updated my eyeglasses prescription, again all for a total price if $ 65!
I can now afford to postpone the expensive visit to an ophthalmologist for several months for a more in depth verification of these highly reassuring professional results.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FOR EYES LOCATION — IN PARTICULAR OPTOMETRIST DR. VASQUEZ.

My glasses broke and I found an old pair when I put them on I was missing a nose guard, showed up at the store like 10 minutes before they closed.
The girls there were super nice and fixed my glasses in 5 min.
I was asking questions about glasses because I want to buy a pair in case of emergencies, they were all helpful and answered all my questions. Will be stopping by soon with my script to get my «emergency» glasses.

Nice people, nice service. Second time coming here and will coninue using their services. Very professional.

Horrible customer service. 3pm apt turns into a 45 min wait time when don’t even really any customers. The «employees» in front are more worried about they’re personal looks then taking care of customers. Don’t even give options on contacts just try and give you the most expensive Stay away from this location.

The Doctor and her direct Assistant (not the two girls at the front desk) are absolutely excellent compassionate and ready to answer any questions and extremely patient with any concerns that I had. The staff at the front desk was the lacked professionalism in their attire, personal appearance and behavior. They didn’t make me feel welcomed or like a valued customer but the doctor made up for that. I will not return to that establishment.

I got charged $ 92 for an eye exam even with insurance. No explanation whatsoever. The staff was friendly, but way too expensive. I have been coming here for years and always paid the $ 10 co-​pay. Don’t know what changed. They are still in my insurance network.

I wanted to update my review. shortly after me posting my review I was contacted by the manager Aleida. unfortunately it was a missed call and it was already to late to call back. The next day I received a email from Jorge vega manager of customer service. that he apologized for the inappropriate behavior of the staff, he was very attentive and handled my complaint very professionally. After I informed him of the situation he went ahead and refunded me the $ 55 dollars they overcharged me for the eye exam. And they said they would be taking my complaint as well to the regional manager to further allow this from happening again. I appreciated the efforts of the Aleida and Jorge to turn my experience.

I’ve decided to update my review because after I posted it initially I was contacted by a manager who validated my complaint and made sure I got my Rx faxed to me.

Remodeling it and is open during renovations and is a really great place

I usually go here to get an annual eye exam and order my contact lenses here without any problems. But now that they are remodeling the whole place, everything is in chaos including the staff.
I scheduled my appointment a week or two ahead of time. Driving after work from Coral Gables down Kendall to this location (especially with 5pm traffic) is a hassle already, but to show up and wait 15 – 20 minutes before a staff member to attend to me and say that all appointments have been canceled since 3pm because the Doctor ran off for an emergency? And not even call me to let me know? Plus they didn’t have the book with all the appointments for that day for some reason so they were very unorganized and clueless. I gave them my name and number and told them to call me as soon as possible to let me know when the doctor would come back to do more appointments. I waited 5 days. No calls. When I try calling, no one picks up. I gave up and ended up making an appointment elsewhere.
Until they fix this place up with both the staff and the mess of the remodeling inside the store, I’m not coming back.

These people are very rude and unhelpful, they will find excuses not to help you even for the simplest thing. Anytime I need to call them to get a question answered on the phone, they are so unbelievably rude, I don’t know how they get away with it. Who needs it when you can get glasses for free from

Not bad For Eyes. not bad. Too bad you’re too expensive for me and I went for the competition down the street. This place is very nice and has a great selection of modern glass– much better selection for Visionworks. I had plenty to choose from and the service was decent enough. It is first come first serve so remember to sign in when you enter– we were not aware and ended up waiting a while.

Been coming here for about 5 years. I usually don’t make an appointment because they take walk-​ins and are quick and timely. The doctors are friendly and professional. The salespeople are also helpful. Highly recommended over Vision works.

Have been going here for my eyes check up for many years now. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Dr. S. Houghton is the best. Place is always busy, so I recommend you to make an appointment. Walkings are welcome, too. They are open seven days a week. The service is excellent and fast. You get your eyes exam and then you can get your glasses or contacts right there or elsewhere. It’s very convenient to order your glasses there. They have a huge variety of frames of all prices. Once you order them they will be ready in a few days.

The only reason i came here was because of my insurance. I used to got to Visionworks but they are longer part of my plan.
I cannot imagine having to buy glasses without having insurance. They can really get expensive and i honestly have no idea how people without insurance gethem or contacts. Mad props to them. Its a huge expense.
The great thing about my visit to FOr Eyes is that in one visit i had my eye checkup and got my glasses in one session. I do however recommend an appointment because they always seem to be busy and have a full house. They do have appointments on Saturday so that makes them über convienient.
The Eye DOc was really great and the staff super helpful. They do have a great selection of frames if your going for the 4 eyes look and they offer all the extras like transitions and stuff.
