Had the opportunity to stop by and try some items on their menu. I personally had the mixed ceviche as an entrée which was absolutely delicious. Cant quite remember the other items that were order by the other parties, but one thing for sure, they were all great. I will definitely be coming back.

O-M-G! you have to get their shrimp ceviche! simply amazing! the cilanto-lime flavor is succulent in your mouth. So good. The shrimp were a great size, but the serving size was too shabby! I need more!!! i had the steak, which was good. the rice was out of this world amazing. So far, this is my fav spot in miami. I had a fried egg on top of the rice. it was amazing. I didnt even want to add the black beans to my rice like I always do. I’m actually craving me some while writing this review. the decoration is laughable. it’s a ma and pa spot, like most of the latino spots down here. but the food is amazing and the price is average. damn, i want that ceviche!

Some coworkers and I tried Delicias Peruanas for lunch recently. It’s located in the former Mario the Baker location in Midtown, on Biscayne, so there’s plenty of parking. They did a nice job of turning it to a nicer dining establishment than the greasy pizza spot it was before(not that I’m knocking Mario’s, that’s just what the location felt like). There was a decent crowd going for a random mid-week lunch, which was surprising. They have a huge menu, full of seafood and meat selections, as well as daily specials and several different types of ceviche. All the entrees are pretty reasonably priced in the $ 10 – 15 range, which the daily specials running around $ 7. Many of my dining companions opted for the chicarron de pollo, which was pretty much like chicken strips. They all said it was enjoyable. Three of us opted for the daily special, estafado de pollo(like a chicken stew), which was served with rice, lentils, and the soup of the day(which was like a corn chowder-type thing). It was a huge portion for the price, and very tasty! Another coworker opted for the jalea mixta(mixed seafood platter), and it was HUGE! Seriously, 4 people could’ve filled up from that plate — all for only $ 14! We also got a small ceviche platter to split, and it was very good. The service was a little slow, but then again, we were a large group. I think this place works better with smaller parties. I will definitely be back!
