Worse lines, worse customer service ever!!! Only good thing about this store is the prices. It all has to do with location and employees. I’ve been to other DDs Locations that are not bad. Hallandale beach is one. Anything outside of Dade is better.

I just experienced the most unpleasant and unprofessional situation in this store located at 559NE81st St in Miami, FL. I have been to this store many times and unfortunately they have a reputation for extremely long lines and bad customer service. I live very close so it’s convenient for me to pop in every now and then to go shopping, despite the bad service and long lines. Today I was at the store with my 2 children, ages 7 and 11. I was in the very very long line waiting to pay with quite a number of items when my 7 year old little girl began dancing desperately needing to go to the bathroom. I had already been in the line for about 25 minutes which is ridiculous in and of itself. I asked my son to wait with our items as the lady in the back so kindly offered to hold our spot while I ran my daughter to the restroom by the fitting rooms in the back of the store. At this point she can no longer hold it and the lady in the back simply says«can’t you read?» pointing at the«we don’t have public bathrooms» sign located under the very obvious ladies restroom. I beg her and tell her its an emergency as she can see since my daughter at this point is crossing her legs in desperation. I beg saying«this is a child!» but the only answer was«too bad for you… I’m not gonna loose my job to let your child use the restroom» I insist since I don’t know what else to do and she then says she has to call the manager but only after she takes her grand old time getting the clothes from some guy walking into the dressing room. She finally makes the call and the manager walks to the back. He looks at me and says he’s sorry but they do not make exceptions to their no public bathroom rule and that if my daughter peed on herself right there he didn’t care… and then he simply walks away with no explanation… nothing. I was so disgusted by the whole thing and appalled I simply ran to the front and took the many things I was going to buy from my son, placed it on the closest table I could find and ran out to find a bathroom elsewhere. Obviously I couldn’t buy anything and had to leave everything behind. The manager saw me walk out and didn’t even bother to apologize… no compassion, nothing. I have my own business and if any of my employees treated ANY of my clients like that I would make sure to change things immediately. It is simply unacceptable. I am not going to bother looking into the legalities which I’m pretty sure require that the store have at least one restroom available, but I am going to take the time to send this and Unilocal it since it seems that reviews are stronger that management these days.
