This place is awesome; we went there during the art walk which is the last Friday of every month, so much fun. The atmosphere and the staff were great and they had several people drumming in front of the restaurant just giving it that every touch. We ordered the paradilla for two… ribs, steak, sweetbread, sausage and blood sausage, everything was excellent! We also ordered the potato salad to go with it and it was some of the best potato salad I have ever tasted. I highly recommend this place for the food, the service and the atmosphere. I will definitely be back!

I’m going to five-star this one, too, just because it is what I really love, eating at a little family place out on the street. You really do feel like you have stepped into some small town in Latin America here. The open grill, the ramshackle alley-way, table and chairs out on the sidewalk, all lend to that ambience. I have not tried the pizza, yet. Been there twice and both times got the Paradilla, mixed grill for 2. It is at least 2 meals per person. As mentioned, the potato salad is amazing, which is not something you really expect from a dish as mundane as potato salad. Also, be sure to ask for chimichuri sauce. Definitely recommended

chivito — plate for 1 — basically an artery clogging, heart attack inducing, plate of meat and fat this family owned place will make you anything on the spot while you watch the chivito combines everything from scratch — frying/heating the bacon, steak, ham, egg, fries, cheese, peppers, onions, olives… very small store front; you almost feel like you have your own personal chef

The brick oven here churns out good pizza, Uruguayan style(chickpea flour). This place also makes popular Uruguayan dishes such as chivitos. While this place stays open late(one of the few in Little Havana to stay open into the late night), this place also gets attention for being host to some Tango classes on Monday and Wednesdays, in which you would then be able to practice your skill as the restaurant becomes a milonga(a dance hall for tango dancers). There’s also tambores classes on Thursdays and live music on Sundays. The atmosphere is very casual, with a little bar indoors. Yet the outside portion, in the alley between two buildings, is quite cool and air-y — the site of the grill. This is a real family run establishment — mother, son, and grandson could be found here as well as other family members on an occasional basis.
