China Hardware & Building Supplies

Looking for tools, things for the house, light bulbs etc. this is the place to go! Unlike Home Depot it is smaller but the prices are not as high and it’s a family feel service.
They also do have Chinese candy and the guava is a definite must buy during your next visit

This place is not bad. And it’s not great either. But it’s definitely Miami. With Ferreteria written outside, as a translation for Hardware, and with China… I have to wonder if it is run by Chinese immigrants from Latin America.
Anyways, the hardware store itself is pretty large and takes up the most space even though the shelves are quite low. The quality of the hardware stuff are pretty much cheap — made in China, perhaps. LOL.
And then you have the real Chinese items on the side — clothing, bamboo plants, potteries, lanterns, fountains, and other knickknacks.
The Chinese lady that was there wasn’t exactly friendly but she was helpful — I think in part because her English wasn’t very good.

This place reminds me of the five and dime stores I would encounter in the small town where I grew up. With the addition of lucky bamboo and other funky items with Asian flair. Where else in Miami can one buy paint rollers and a kimono?

My (future) mother in law told me about this place for their selection of lucky bamboo for my wedding. I was a little skeptical at first cause it’s a hardware store and i thought the deal I found online was way better… was I wrong! Checked the place out and not only do they have a HUGE selection of lucky bamboo (different sizes, shapes, etc) but they had an array of beautiful vases. The owner and I negotiated an amazing deal on 75, 2 lucky bamboos (6 and 8 inches) in a glass vase with the rocks. His turn around time was also super fast, he had them ready in 72 hours! They were well packaged for pickup and ready to go when I got there. He was wiling to work within my budget and helped make my wedding favors a perfect gift for our guests! Some of have raved about what a unique idea it was! Almost 4 months later my bamboo sits on my desk, had grown ½ an inch, and the leaves are beautifully green and healthy! Thank you, thank you China Hardware for helping make my wedding day complete!

Very funky. The hardware selection is rather limited, but they have a ton of lucky bamboo, little fountains, some really nice Chinese dishware/​teapots/​planters etc at good prices, and that cool plant earth substitute jello stuff in different colors (under $ 1 a pack).
Also quite an assortment of clothing — slippers, kimonos, you name it.
Cleanliness does not seem to be their thing and customer service is rather lacking, but still an interesting place.
