This playground is definitely for younger kids. I’ve been taking my son here since before he could walk. I like that it has baby swings(which he no longer uses but still nice) and shorter slides. I used to come here all the time but now that he’s 2.5 and I’m kinda icky about sand I make a short drive to Westwind Lakes. This park though will always have a little piece in my heart as my son and I spent many afternoons here. I’ve never done a party here but we do enjoy watching older kids play basketball and baseball.

I came here for a children’s’ birthday party a week ago. The park itself is really small, I have rarely been to a park for a birthday party that is so small in size and yet has all the amenities of a larger park. For example, it has only one pavilion, a baseball field, and a modestly sized basketball court(s). But because its smaller it makes certain things allot easier like the bathrooms are ‘across the park’ which really only means that it is about 50 feet away and it only takes you a minute to walk over. The bathroom building was attached to the concession stand. You could get yourself all kinds of treats and cool down with assorted refreshments as well. Because the size of the park is so limited it also means that it feels allot more crowded since everyone is smushed together. It looked like there were hundreds of people on the basketball courts and even though there was some sort of tournament going on at the time I’m sure the number of people was an optical illusion. All in all i think its perfect for why i was there, a child’s’ birthday party. but I wouldn’t come here expecting a calm environment at 2:00 on a Saturday. Its filled with kids and different activities.
