So standard and run-of-the-mill. I was excited that a burger place was opening up close to my house. I went in and it really did look like a mini-Fudruckers. Maybe that’s what they’re going for? Rock & roll memorabilia and like old-fashioned furniture. I’m telling you… very similar. Went a couple of times and tried the Wellington and a regular burger with mojo sauce. I got it with fries and a beer(Dogfish… props for having some bottles of this handy) My girlfriend got the veggie burger. The Wellington burger was a sloppy mess… and not really in a good way. Too much of that mushy mushroom/truffle mix, which flavor-wise was pretty intense… maybe a little too intense for a burger. Overall it just didn’t really taste that good. The burger with mojo, which is supposedly the hallmark sauce they have, was okay. Mojo, which I originally thought was the marinade, is actually pronounced moe-joe… which I’m almost positive was a mix of ketchup and mayo, or something like that. So disappointed to realize that it wasn’t the marinade mo-ho. Burger was okay. Fries were fries. Decent, yknow– nothing crazy. Veggie burger was good– sorta BBQ-y, but it fell apart a little bit. Not sure how they’re putting that mix together, but they need some more bread crumbs, or more eggs. BGR(in Kendall) is definitely just all-right. I wouldn’t make plans to go there. Last on my list of places to eat at that shopping center.

Did a to go order. I ordered the Wellington and my girlfriend ordered the burger. The Wellington was delicious. Tasteful and very well seasoned. The bread very good and def made fresh. The burger was a little too peppery for her taste but the meat was still fresh and not greasy. The milk shakes are very good but the sweet potato fries isn’t any special but still edible.

BESTBURGERS! I’m not a fan of burgers but WOW, do they know how to make a mean burger! I’ve had the regular burger and the«box set.» They are both amazing. The meat it always nice and juicy and well seasoned. I usually get their parmesan and garlic fries that are ahhhh-mazing!!! The staff is very nice and the place is always clean. The only downside is that the place is a bit small. It can feel crowded during lunch.

My friend said this, «When ordering a burger, one should never asked ‘Would you like me to add cheese.’ The REAL question should be ‘Would you like me to take off the cheese?”» LISTEN. Bottom line is, no respectable burger place should ask you to pay 49 cents extra for a piece of damn cheese. THISIS A ROUGHECONOMYWE’RELIVINGIN. But seriously, it’s not even that… It’s just a matter of principle. It’s a pet peeve of mine when a burger doesn’t include cheese. UNACCEPTABLE. However, the burgers really are very delicious. I had a Veggie Burger. Some would argue that a Veggie Burger ain’t even a real burger, but it was delicious. And I had a bite of my friends Wellington Burger… delicious. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying out their onions rings.

The Greek reviewed Not much to do, kids are not home and was in the mood for a burger. My «Darling Husband»(D.H.) was willing to go out(as long as it’s withing a 5 mile radius of our home) and was ok with burgers. I had been jonezing a burger for a while now and spotted this place last weekend when we were on our way to the home improvement place just behind the mall this is in. We walked up to the place and I love it when there is a large menu posted outside. I have a hard time making up my mind — just ask D.H. he’ll tell you about the 4 different outfits I tried on before settling on the one I wore tonight. So I spotted The Greek. *Take me to The Greek*! Haven’t had a lamb burger in forever and now I had to have this. D.H. was hooked on the rosemary garlic fries. So we go in and order. A nice modern place, let’s call it «minimalist» in décor. Bright purple walls, a large tv w/sports and a few classic album covers on the walls. The coolest retro soda machine on the wall opposite the ordering counter. What wowed me was the beer selection. They had about 7 beers ranging from your standard domestic, hand crafted American, cool microbrew small batch stuff and a great German brew — that’s what I chose Gaffel Kolsch. I got The Greek(medium) w/regular fries and D.H. got the sliders PLAIN *surprise*(well done is standard w/sliders) w/the rosemary garlic fries. You get your ice cold beer and a buzzer and sit. I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned in previous reviews that my «Darling Husband» is known as «Pan Con Queso» because he plays it safe and his orders are consistently some form of carb(bread, pasta or potato) smothered in a dairy product — mostly cheese pizza, mac and cheese or cheese fries respectively. So tonight he was adventurous and ordered sliders… plain. The buzzer does it’s thing and my D.H. brings the food to the table. It’s on a large plastic plate similar to a charger, not bad and much better than a basket or a wrapper. The plate is lined with paper and your burger and fries sit on top. Not much to say about the sliders. They were well seasoned and well done — plain just like the hubby likes it. I was not impressed with the fries. He ordered the rosemary garlic fries and got garlic parm instead. He’s ok with cheese so he didn’t complain but to be honest they were good plain fries with some Parmesan and some roasted garlic cloves on top. I guess I expected a garlicy sauce but if you picked on from the outside of the pile, there was not cheese or garlic flavour. Just a good crispy fry. I liked my Greek burger a-lot! It was stacked high w/lettuce, tomato, feta and cucumber slices. The burger was thick and juicy and perfectly pink and my plain fries did not compete with the seasoning and yummy lamb flavour. BEWARNED! It’s a tall stacked burger so you will drip and you will have to make a funny face and open wide — not recommended for first date food!(stick to the sliders so you look cute eating cute little burgers) I would have liked a little bit more of the tzatziki sauce. This stuff is really good. I’m slowly slipping into a food coma, nuff sed. D.H. and I discussed the options, price and sides at length in the car after and stand firm — I haven’t found a place within 5 miles of my home that D.H. is willing to drive to that offers a lamb burger and it was a good lamb burger!

In the mood for burgers and willing to try somewhere new. Decided to give BGR a visit for lunch. They get a 3.5 in my opinion and that is mainly because they have the cool coke machine that allows you to create 2000 different soda combinations. They were out of grape soda! WHAT! But I had some cherry coke instead. Had the sliders with some plain fries. Not blown away, but I did play it safe. They had some other burgers that were a little more adventurous and after trying the sliders might of been better options. May stop back in to try the Cuban Burger or the DDD Burger. The fries come with this good creamy sauce, ask for extra of that!

The rating would be more of a 3.5. My fiancé and I spent a busy morning in Kendall running errands, and by 2 p. m we were starving. So we decided to give BGR Burger Joint a shot. We decided to order the sliders and an order of regular fries. The burger was too burnt for my taste, and a bit dry. It comes with a ‘secret recipe’ sauce, which is nothing more than big mac sauce. The sliders were oh-kay. and they sure filled us up. I just wasnt blown away by this place.

Finally tried this place out and I was not impressed. The staff was friendly, but the food was not worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend. Skip it and head to McDonald’s instead.

Burgers shouldn’t be giving anyone a hard-on but… The Burger Joint offers up some of the best burgers I’ve had in Miami. 5 Stars kind of sounds like I’m living in the moment, but I can’t remember eating a better burger down here in Miami. I’ve gone through overhyped disappointments before(won’t list em), but I sincerely enjoyed what was provided at this place…(but no boner) The place isn’t as big as I imagined it to be but it’s nice. The décor is a bit odd in that I was having burgers and beer while watching Pokemon on their TV. Despite that, service and food are incredible. I’ve tried the Cuban Burger and the Lobster Sandwich and was impressed with both. The Cuban is an incredible concoction. I don’t understand why there isn’t a single review on it!!! Every Jew’s worst nightmare as it is their famous burger on a fresh buttered sesame seed bun(similiar to a potato roll) and topped with swiss cheese, a slice of grilled ham, seasoned pork loin and pickles. All of that lightly pressed together to form a sandwich that beats up little burgers for their lunch money. The burger itself is already incredible, with a nice pink medium rare and seasoned wonderfully. However, the pork loin was not to be ignored. A juicy piece of pork loin that had a nice fat ring around it that wasn’t gonna be thrown away… Also, the grilled slice of ham was good but it was a thin piece that doesn’t really stick out. The pickles are sliced thick and really added a nice crunch. The melted swiss helped put this burger right up there with some of the best. The lobster roll is 3 slider rolls lined up together with 5 oz of chilled lobster meat and lettuce with melted butter. The lobster meat is steamed and then chilled which provides a meatier tasting lobster. The lettuce and lobster mixed together with the butter make it an incredible tasting sandwich but a bit pricey(about $ 15). The onion rings are HUGE and stacked up into a pyramid for your viewing pleasure. The fries are your standard fries. Not sure why they go so far to describe it as «perfectly cut Yukon Gold Potatoes». They’re just fries. They’re good. That’s it. The sauce that comes with these fried sides is just incredible. Order more of it, it is a tangy mayo-y type of sauce that is just rich and incredible. Not much more I can say about the place without writing a book about it. If you are looking to eat healthy or eat cheap then you just wasted 5 minutes of your time reading this review. But if you want to indulge in a great tasting burger with a beer and some friends, then close your internet browser and go! Enough reviews about the Wellington already… try the Cuban! Won’t regret it.

My problem is I hate onions yet love mushrooms. I can’t get shrooms on my burger without onions? They need to work on that.

I had to do it. I had to give BGR a 5. I had to! How do they only have 3 stars? Whaaaa? Perfectly seasoned burger meat, delicious thick cut rosemary-infused bacon, fresh toppings… it was all so delicious. Fries are extra, as others have mentioned, which kinda blows… but it’s easy to get over it when a. the burger itself is worth the money, and b. the fries were perfectly cooked. Yes, they were a little plain, but that gives you the option of seasoning them yourself!(I’m not a huge fan of salt, so they were perfect in my opinion.) Gotta mention how AWESOME I think their service is. I asked for fries with my burger, but I love mumbling and speaking way too low sometimes, so it they were never added to my order. No biggie, just went back and ordered them after I got my burger. To my surprise, one of the guys came out from behind the counter and delivered them to the table, complete with bbq, spicy mayo(I think?), parmesan, and a couple of other fixins in little plastic cups. Oh. my. gah. That was honestly the sweetest thing ever, all because of my own communication shortcomings. I’m a jerk for not getting that guy’s name! Worthy of letting the manager know just how great my experience was. I’ll be back soon anyway, but YO, GUY!: you are the bomb.

I am not a «burger» person. My idea of a decent burger is a Big Mac. Sad, I know. That frankenmeat shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same place as this burger joint. That said, my hubby loves burgers and in an effort to find a burger I like we’ve been trying various burger places in Miami. The Wellington burger at BGR has changed my perception of burgers forever. You need not eat a standard boring burger of meat, lettuce, tomato and a mushy bun! You can have a burger with roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, garlic mustard seed and blue cheese on a butter toasted brioche bun with mojo sauce. I know I know it sounds like 10 pounds of toppings but it’s not, they have perfected the balance and it’s delicious. Now, why only three stars you ask? Well, the fries and onion rings leave a little to be desired. They are hit or miss, we’ve been there three time and twice they were overcooked. Also, they have one of those new coke machines that offer up a million flavors and I felt that my regular coke tasted funny.

This burger place serves high prices and crappy burgers. just because a burger is big doesnt mean its good. with all of the«gourmet» burgers popping up these days, you really have to do something out of the ordianry to stand out. this one does, it rips you off. i mean, $ 10 – 12 for a burger and an extra $ 3-$ 4 for fries? really? You can go down the street to Smash or CG burger and get better food at a better price. and please, dont get me strated on the fries. obviously frozen and out of a bag. bleh the one good thing? the 80’s music being piped in that matched the décor. well, lets make that the 2nd good thing, the first good thing is the futuristic soda machine with the different flavor combinations. but, even these are becoming more common these days. if this place is still here this time next year, i will be more than surprised. id be astonished.

Finally a good burger place nearby. I had the lunch special which is a burger with soda and fries. My bf had the one with a fried egg on it. Positives: The meat was very well seasoned(hard to find) The bun was buttered and toasted(so yummy) and the fries were perfectly friend and crispy the way I like them. The guy behind the counter was also friendly and helpful. Futuristic soda machine is a plus Negatives: Burgers don’t come with fries, they must be ordered separately. Pricey for a casual burger place AND it took us about 15 – 20 minutes to get our food(it was not packed.) But I guess that comes with it being a freshly opened store. Also, I ordered my burger medium and there was no pink meat in sight. I HATE that. A great place, I’ll be back!

My wife and I snuck out for a little midweek date and enjoyed the Wellington burger tonight. Very much so. We have on a quest of sorts, to find a good burger joint near our house and this one fits the bill perfectly. We also had the grilled asparagus, which were kinda undercooked and not all that great, but that’s what we get for trying to order something healthy at a burger joint! On another note, the service was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful. I asked the manager a question about the tables in there and he texted the owner, took my email to send me the info and called me «sir» the whole time. Gotta love that. We’ll be back to try the lamb burger and the one with jalapeños. For now, however, we’re fans for sure.

I had been wanting to come to this place but the prices people put on their reviews scared me from going here. My boyfriend and I decided to take the plunge and indulge ourselves and hoped for the best. We liked the décor. It’s not too much and what can I say about the service?! I’m always so indecisive and the man behind the counter(manager I’m assuming because he cared too much) started asking me if I like certain things and he ended up recommending The Wellington Burger. I went with his recommendation and ordered it with fries. My boyfriend ordered The Burger with onion rings. The Wellington: incredibly flavorful!!! First bite, it’s an orgasm in your mouth. Now, once you’re halfway through the burger, it gets to be TOO flavorful. Do I make sense? The fries were good but I personally like some seasoning on my fries but that’s my personal taste. The Burger: I had a bite and though it was such a simple burger, it was so good! As for the onion rings complaint, yes, they’re supposed to be huge! They even specify what kind of onion it is so there’s no surprises people! It all came out to $ 27. The Burger, Wellington, side orders of fries and onion rings and a beer. That’s not too bad as you’re getting a quality burger. Is it expensive for Kendall? Yeah you could make that argument but I’m coming back(they give you one of those cards after the 8th burger you get one free…)

BGR The Burger Joint is quite mediocre and pretty overpriced for what you get. The Mister and I ordered the Wellington Burger(which according to their menu includes roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, garlic, mustard seed, and bleu cheese), Sweet Potato Fries, and Onion Rings. The Wellington burger was very tasty; however, I can’t say the same about the fries and onion rings. The sweet potato fries were plain and the onion rings were ridiculously gigantic. When I bit into the ring, the entire onion came out of the fried batter part, which totally pisses me off when that happens. Their futuristic Coke machine was broken, so we weren’t able to use it. And the place is small — the tables aren’t really spaced out comfortably. This place is pretty overpriced as well — $ 33 for two burgers, a side of sweet potato fries, a side of onion rings, and two cans of soda!?! Good lawd that’s a lot of money. We would probably come back to try another type of burger, but we aren’t rushing back.

This is the third BGR location I have been to and while I usually had a positive experience, this was just OK. I can’t complain on the service as the line went quick and the cashier was nice. This particular location is tiny, compared to the Gables location. It feel’s kind of cramped inside and a bit annoying when the people in line are standing next your table. Price was not an issue for me the last two times I went. Because the first time, someone paid for me, and the second time I had a groupon. But geez, we had a burger, sliders, two orders of fries, and two drinks and the total was $ 30! That’s a little steep, considering its self service. The fries alone are $ 2.89 and $ 0.49 if you want to add a «topping». I don’t know what impulsed me to add parmesan, but I did. I thought it would be fresh parm but it was parm out of a can. My husband said his burger was good. I thought the sliders were OK, nothing special. Sorry, unless I can go with a coupon or a groupon I wont be returning here anytime soon. Way overpriced. On another note, I did LOVE the Coke Freestyle machine :)

The menu claims great reviews from very prestigious entities. I expected to be wowed by the food, it’s ok but the reviews on the menu seem a little over the top. Two burgers, one order of fries, one of onion rings and two sodas = $ 32.00…for a place that doesn’t have table service… not worth the price.
