Ate here the other night on a work trip! I always try to find a good Indian cuisine place whenever I am traveling. Bengal was REALLY good! Their garlic nan was unique and very delicious. If you like spicy, order the chicken tikka masala SPICY. It gave it a great kick and enhanced the flavor. I recommend anyone to try it if they enjoy a good tikka masala dish!

Authentic Indian food. One of my favorite indian restaurants and neighborhood gem. But I always wish they could work on the décor just a bit. Make it a little more indian flare or rustic. Something. But the food is amazingly good

Great food — good service! Seems like this place isn’t getting as much business as it deserves.

We have been coming several times/month for the last 3 years. If carbs were not the devil, we would come more often. CANNOT. STOP. EATING! Once I have rice I want sauce… when I apply more sauce I want more rice… when I apply more rice I want more sauce… I always get the chana saag(chickpeas and spinach). I have only deviated and ordered shrimp saag(shrimp and spinach), maybe twice. Their service is 5 stars, A++++: they did this one time: they were out of spinach. Instead of saying, «Sorry, we are out of spinach today,» our server ran to Publix to get me spinach! OMG! Such an unexpected, and NICE gesture! I wanted to stop him(I felt guilty!), but he already left! Talk about going out of their way to make their customers get what they want. WOW. Really made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Also, once we forgot out take-out, and a server ran into the parking lot behind the building to give it to us. Their service has always been on point. Always friendly and accommodating. THEIRSAAGPANEERNANN is the best saag paneer nann, ever. So soft, chewy, lots of cheese(but not way too much). No offense to the other Indian restaurants in Miami, but Bengal’s saag panneer nann is the BEST. The parking lot in the back is nice. No worries about parking! There are also Bollywood music videos playing on a tv in the upper corner of the restaurant. So cool and entertaining :).

The food, the service and the ambiance is excellent! By far the best Indian food in town … If you like Indian, I highly recommend it!

Two of us had dinner at 6PM last night at Bengal Indian Cuisine. This was my third trip to this restaurant. I chose it as I remember having a good meal here on my last visit. And, it is in close proximity to the Miami Hilton where I chose to stay. Place was just as I recall. It is very casual, comfortable booths and pleasant enough for a simple weeknight dinner. There were signs of wear to their sign and the exterior of the building. Could use some sprucing up in the immediate future. Dinner began with the Vege Pakoras. They were more like small potato pancakes(latkes) vs. what they term pakora in Indian cuisine. Anyone of East Indian descent would say they are not pakoras. They were not very good unfortunately. The cilantro based sauce accompanying the pakoras was fine but the pakoras needed some help. There was no flavor. Next was the Mulligatawny Soup with chicken. It too was very mediocre like the pakoras. The soup may even have been canned. However, I’m hoping that is not the case here. Next came the Fish Masala with mahi mahi. This was the only standout dish of the night. The fish was very tasty accompanied by a chunky/thick masala sauce. If despite all of these 3 star reviews you choose to eat here I would recommend you order the fish. I did enjoy the fish and it is the one dish we actually finished. The Shaag Paneer which followed was a significant disappointment. It was not the classic dish I know but rather some spinach and pureed lentil concoction with paneer cheese. It was not edible and was obviously a dish I urge you to avoid. Tried to order Pistachio Kulfi(ice cream) for dessert but all they had was mango. Hence I passed and paid the bill. Our waiter was nice but apparently not an aficionado of Indian cuisine. Maybe they should hire an Indian waiter? Not the best experience. I went back to my hotel hungry.

I have had better Indian food back home in Baltimore but for a quick buffet run this place did the trick. Not a huge selection but just enough. The customer service was nice but it was only one man there and he was delayed getting us water etc. I don’t hold it against him but still more staff and don’t automatically add gratuity

Bengal has great location and service. The food is balanced to satisfy Indian and American patrons. The food can be ordered as hot or mild you would prefer. They make their yogurt mix(raita) In-house and ask for it as a side, if you like spicy food this will help to mellow down the spicy kick. If you are a newyorker or from windy city you might say why 4 stars, the answer is if you are in Miami and been to other Indian restaurants, you might say 5 stars

Great value for the price. Lunch buffet was $ 11 and the food was well seasoned yet not spicy. Since I arrived almost at the end of the buffet I won’t deduct points for the rice being hard from being on the warmer too long. They lost a star because their parking lot sign around the corner is covered by branches making it very difficult to spot; also, they have a few funky looking lamps that resemble Xmas decorations hanging from a long string that looks filthy, it looks as if the dust collected might fall on the tables bellow. Great value for the money at lunch time.

We were in Miami for a brief stopover on the way back to Los Angeles from Cuba and were delighted to be greeted by the wonderful people at Bengal… we ordered mostly vegetarian, Dal, Eggplant, Okra, along with Chicken Tiki Masala and really everything was delicious! Loved my mango lassi also. Maybe it was partly the trip back from Cuba which offered zero cuisine… not blaming them of course it’s been a communist country… etc and blah blah… Highly recommended Bengal– Five of us and we all loved it.

I had dinner here a few weeks back. The food was good but not great. I wasn’t disappointed with my meal but wasn’t wowed either. I ordered the chicken tandoori which was cooked well but needed a hint of flavor. The service I received was great.

Tried this place for the first time few weeks ago and ever since we have been hooked! Once the carry out arrives home it’s not as good as in the restaurant but still extremely delicious and addicting. Must try spinach /cheese bread and spicy lamb. Yummmmm

I love Indian food! I could pretty much eat curry for every meal and be very happy. Bengals is a great local restaurant. They have a ton of vegetarian and naan options. The beef vindaloo spicy is probably my favorite thing on the menu! If you are looking for lunch options their lunch buffet is a can’t miss! They normally have a coupe of curries and tandoori chicken! The staff is a bit slow so don’t come here in a hurry.

I came in to this place today for lunch. I wasn’t too wowed at all even though I really love Indian food. I had the buffet instead of picking something fromt he menu. That may be the difference and the food you order may be fantastic. However, the daily lunch buffet was only $ 11.95 so for the price, how could i expect too much. There are limited amounts of food. Chicken masala, two choices of rice(white or yellow rice), they had plain naan and a beef dish and two veggie dishes. I had all but the beef. It was ok. i did order some garlic Naan which was good as naan usually is. I am not sure I would venture back in but it was reasonably priced. There wasn’t much sound at all and only two tables full so it was pretty quite. They were playing some cheezy bollywood videos on a t.v. though. lol I guess that was the atmosphere =P

Upon entry you smell delicious Indian food cooking, as if you are walking into someone’s home. Friendly staff. great food. I had the Dhaka goat karai spiced hot. It was very flavorful except the goat was so fatty. I suppose that’s normal though. Allo parata was yummy too! A lot of People from India were dining in and taking out from this place. Usually a good sign of authentic food!

WORST place ever. I was here for a to-go order. They said that it would take around 20 mins for the order to be ready. I was waiting in my car and I went back in after 30 mins. They asked me to come back after 20 more mins. When I went back after 20 mins — they said that they dint have saag so they asked me to order an other dish NOW. They could have told me the same thing when i went in 20 mins before. When i asked the manager to void the bill he did it right away but dint even bother to apologize. And now all other dine in places are closed. I suggest everyone not to go to this damn place and spoil a day of their exciting Miami trip. I would rate a zero but only cause Unilocal wouldn’t allow me i throw a star here. Stay away from this place and their mannerless employees.

We came here before the show on a Sunday. Was a little worried about cost from the reviews I read. But no real completes about the food. We had two amazing curry chicken entrées, a wonderful shrimp appetizer, that yummy bread I forget the name. they also give you free appetizer when you sit at the table with pita chips with sauce. Was surprised because the bill was around $ 98 with tip!
