I presume we have new owners again? Sat at counter, watched 2 guests walk out without eating. Should have known what I was in for, waited 40 minutes after placing my order, waitress was completely scattered, no food or service, ran out to never come back.

Today I waited 8 minutes to get a take out bagel, not even cut in half or with any spread — just the darn bagel, and realized that I put up with frequent abuses of patience, so the bagels must be worth it(?). But I’m noticing the bagels are shrinking, they are rarely hot at 7am, and the place is so mismanaged I’m thinking of «spreading» my bagel buying business to other nearby favorites, of which there are many. But in the hopes that management reads Unilocal reviews, including this one from a regular, here are some tips: every order placed at the counter receives a printout receipt, which is both time consuming and a waste of paper. Why. It just have the guy write«$ 2» with a grease pencil directly on the bag, which is then taken 8 feet to the cashier? Secondly, consider a «frequent bagel» card, which I could preload for faster checkout(could even be an old school punch card — 12 for $ 10, and the counter guy could punch the card with every bagel purchased, cutting out the cashier entirely). And if some a-hole is spending 20 minutes at the counter ordering(Aventura has more than its fair share of people with no sense whatsoever), then for god’s sake have someone pitch in on express orders!

Not too bad for a $ 6.99 breakfast of 2 egg whites, tomatoes, coffee, bagel & cream cheese! Beats the Pancake House in pricing… no upcharge for egg whites so it’s a pleasant surprise. They bring out continental pastries as a starter for free. You do have to make sure to ask for water because they won’t serve it automatically — not a big deal. Anytime after 930AM it will get pack. Friendly service!

First time visitor, sat at the counter, very nice people and good service. This restaurant doesn’t have Asiago or Cheddar bagels, but I can’t ding them for that. So I ordered an Everything Bagel with Chive Cream Cheese with a side of Bacon. Bagel: Over-toasted and yes! You can over-toast a bagel Cream Cheese was delicious! 15 points there! Bacon: OK. Some people might say… Bacon is bacon, but a great Bacon is worth a whole meal! Overall, it was ok, hence my 3 stars.

I ordered a Sausage, egg, and cheese on a Garlic bagel. $ 13! What an outrageous price for a bagel sandwich. The quality of the sandwich was quite good, however. The bagel was tasting. Not super hot and fresh, but nonetheless carried a clean tasting dough, a chewy bite, and a well-balanced hint of garlic crunch on the exterior. The eggs were well executed, and the sausage links were a nice balance of fat and protein that wasn’t super greasy like these types of sandwiches tend to be. I was satisfied with the sandwich. In fact, it was quite good. But, if I came back I’d avoid this place because $ 13 is obscene for a bagel sandwich.

I eat at Bagel Cove at a min 4 times a month, been eating here for years, I’m reading reviews of people complaing about their prices obviously they don’t eat out much. For 6.99 you can get a complete breakfast you would spend about the same at McDonald’s. The food is always good and cooked to my satisfaction, the best Pumpernickel Bagel in S fl. Portions are large and the prices are reasonable. Servers are terrific. Great place for breakfast or lunch

They have good bagels and dessert. This place gets very packed so it’s good to order your food in advance. I like their cookies as well.

What you would expect from your typical breakfast stop. Nothing special, but very good. Pro tip: at the bagel stop on the left, if u ask for all your ingredients separate rather than having them make it, you save a lot of money. Ie I get my bagel, fresh nova, and cream cheese, and make it at home. Save 4 dollars on what would otherwise be an unaffordable every day breakfast.

Great old-school Miami-area Jewish deli/restaurant. The bagels here are, in my opinion, the best in South Florida… Particularly the pumpernickel bagels– you won’t find better! They stock sabel, Lox, nova, chicken livers, and more. My favorite breakfast here is the scrambled nova, eggs, and onions with an everything bagel. On most mornings you’ll get a free side of breakfast pastries at your table. Always a treat. I have to admit, the knish here isn’t my favorite. But I’m no knish expert. Service is always fast and friendly. A favorite place of mine for breakfast, and I often drive clear across town just to pick up bagels here. I’ve been coming here for years, and still enjoy it as much as ever.

Sandwiches have gotten considerably smaller and the prices have gone up again. This is the last time I will be visiting. It’s such a shame. The new owners do not know how to keep customers happy. Former employees are afraid to speak up for fear of losing their jobs. I can see it in their faces. Bagel cove sorry. And stale bread to boot

I had previously given Bagel Cove a 5(breakfast). The hew owners immediately came in with guns blazing(good). The old lady who owned the place with a horrible attitude gone(good). Expansion. .good. New software that handles orders… not so good. The average time it takes to get breakfast has increases by over 10 minutes. This may work for dinner(new owners are Soho Chinese) but does NOT work for breakfast. Because of the back logs on orders, staff is stifled, customers go without water, coffee and no servers in site. This is the third time I come in and here customers mumbeling about going elsewhere. Too bad… this was a neighborhood breakfast gem.

I went for the first time during the weekend with my bf and I really enjoyed it. As a deli, you can’t expect it to be as clean as a 5 star restaurant, but it was tidy and our waitress was very nice and attentive. I would say, stick to what delis do best; sandwiches, waffles, pancakes, omelets and specially BAGELS! They are amazing!(It’s called Bagel Cove for a reason). The manager was very cool and came to our table to see if everything was going smoothly. Overall, I had a great experience, and I think it is a very chilled place, where you can have nice food for a reasonable price. It won’t disappoint you.

Got to go order today. Big!!! Mistake. The potato pancakes look and taste like hockey pucks. They are well beyond burnt, dried, and reheated. The turkey sausage is also black and burnt– as are the hash browns. I’ve never eaten here before so don’t know if this was a mess up. No intention of finding out. Bagel was fresh and not burnt. French toast was also good. Everything else had to be thrown out– gross. Should Have listened to the other reviews, but thought they are always busy, must be good. Would never recommend to friends or visitors. Update: went back to return all 8 potato pancakes and they agreed they were burnt and returned the money– very apologetic. Too bad there is no quality control.

Just left this establishment. While they have a wide selection of deli and breakfast items, I was disappointed by the absurd prices charged for a simple bacon egg and cheese bagel. $ 13! Just crazy! And it was just OK

This place has to be the worst breakfast spot I have been to in my life! Ordered a 2 egg breakfast they were runny like someone sneezed on them. My home fries were burned lox was pink and tasted horrible. And to top it off I had lipstick on my coffee cup. What made the experience even worse was the price $ 19:80 for 2 eggs home fries a coffee and 3 pices of lox. Triple F Only good thing was the nice waitress

This place is been around for very long time used to be a lot smaller and not a big deal but overtime a lot of the kosher style deli’s have going to business or expanded and in the process quality service and everything else is been sacrificed . I wish that this place actually took pride in their restaurant the places most deafly dirty the owner doesn’t seem to really care about customer service or quality. I was ther and I watched a waitress go behind the counter and tell the deli man that the sandwich was falling apart because the bread was so stale stale. It’s pretty Barasinga and ridiculous she charge five store gourmet restaurant prices and you serve second-grade food the only thing that you can screw up they screw up the things that are almost foolproof like Premade deli meats premade smoked fish premade anything you should be very simple just heated up and serve it and slice it and serve it. If you’re looking for a place to get quality corn beef pastrami you can try Mose bagels but they are also overpriced and they do not give you the largest of the portion. Your best bet is to go to kosher kingdom the prices are no different than all these other places but the food and the quality of their salads there everything is 100% guaranteed and always consistent I’m not being biased towards kosher kingdom i’m just telling you my honest and experience pallet and choice. The only reason I went here was because I thought maybe over the years enough people would’ve complained or made a stink about all the problems that they have that maybe they went back to where they came from being a small takeout restaurant they catch a cherry on customer service quality and consistency but I guess not so if you read this take my advice and if you do think that this place has incredible food then you are missing out on what real Jewish delicatessen should be

Bagel Cove does a great job embodying everything that goes into a classic Jewish deli/diner. Nothing fancy or new here, but that’s not necessarily all a bad thing. The silverware was weathered to the point that it provoked the age-old conversation about«how many people do you think actually ate with these». If you are looking for something to take with you for a snack, lunch, or beach cooler later on in the day the deli and bakery area has a wide variety of concoctions and indulgences to choose from. They have a large menu with something for everyone. I suggest you order something with either rye or a bagel. I went with the tuna melt on rye. I don’t usually enjoy rye bread but it totally made the sandwich. The rye bread was toasted to the perfect combination of crispy on the outside but still fluffy on the inside. The cheddar cheese was melted evenly and there was so much tuna! The sandwich came with my choice of side which I selected coleslaw and was tasty and a large enough portion to share. My father ordered a ruben that he could’ve made 2 sandwiches from if he had more bread. There were a lot of other items on the menu that I am looking forward to trying in the future because I’ll definitely be back. I gave it 4 stars since for this review I’m basing my scale only on Jewish diners, but compared to other diners in town I would’ve given it 3.

Bagel Cove remains one of my family’s choice spots in the greater Miami area for Jewish deli food and, well, bagels. My evaluation is: the food is certainly fresh, the food is certainly good, the food is certainly Jewish. My last time coming, I ordered the turkey sandwich lunch with cole slaw and matzah ball soup. Soup Tip: if your meal comes with a soup, I can’t dignify getting anything other than the matzah ball soup, as it’s essentially chicken noodle soup with the added bonus of a matzah ball, with noodles, chicken and vegetables and all. It was pretty darn good, having a comforting home-cooked feel to it, the matzah ball neither too soft nor too plain. My sandwich was graciously overflowing with turkey. Though slightly on the dry side, I can definitely vouch for its freshness – it had a recently carved, rather than preserved, texture. It was almost enough to make 2 meals out of, had only there been more bread. The prices are not outrageously bad, but you aren’t exactly getting a bargain either. In fact, the lady in front of me at the register was exploding in consternation over the fact that her sandwich cost $ 16, but I wasn’t, because I can read.(I guess it also helped that grandma was paying.) Regardless, prices aside, food is solid but not overly memorable – hence the 3 stars. And yes, I should have listened to the name and gotten a bagel last time I was here, but I’d been eating bagels my whole time back in Florida and something just told me to go for the rye bread sandwich. Judging from the comments of others and my family’s continued patronage, I’d guess the bagels are just about as good as you’ll get in Florida, but I’ll have to come back next time and investigate myself… I’m sticking with 3 stars till then.

I was out running errands and wanted a bagel and cream cheese. I had noticed this place before, but never stopped in. Today that changed. There’s a restaurant area and a small to go area for deli items. There was even a small area with some baked goods, mostly cookies that I stared at longingly. I grabbed a raisin bagel with cream cheese and a bottle of grape fruit juice. It was quick and tasty. This will absolutely be my bagel spot when I’m near the Aventura area.
