A little expensive for just average gelato. Wondering what clouds taste like, I ordered the pretty blue-colored ‘Sky Cream.’ It tastes like birthday cake ice cream from Marble Slab. Wish I had seen one of the fro-yo places first(Yo Fresco and Yogurberry).

Amarena. In culinary terms means«sour cherries.» To me it became this declaration: «Oh Jesus, Buddha and Yahweh. Please pool your powers and deliver to me that which will void my taste buds of the pungency of mall cabbage that I so foolishly partook.» Arte Dolce’s amarena gelato is the confectionary communion that I received. For starters, the mall cabbage mistake is the result of ordering double veggies from a chicken grill that is adjacent to and owned by a mall Chinese food vendor. It started when I got side tracked while watching the cashier get frustrated at a customer and in the most polite Pan-Asian Spanglish that I personally have ever seen, explain to the patron how to pay for 5 meals with change. Now, I’m not a dessert immediately after dinner kind of guy. But, after my succulent meal… no during, I realized that that my palate needed to be cleansed. On the perimeter of the food court is a smathering of kiosks. While perusing the Haagen Daz menu I noticed this gelato stand a few doors down. After sampling the amarena, I knew that that creamy tart cherry swirl is what I desired. And vital. There were about a dozen flavors. Plenty of fresh fruit and other mix-ins and free samples. Full sized plastic spoons though. To me a sample should come on those tiny Swiss Army knife size spoons. $ 5 bucks for two scoops. $ 10 smackeroos for a sundae. Pass the collection plate.

It’s pricey first off! However I think this is something that people could invest in and start putting in their local markets. It’s good, It’s healthy, and it «WILLSALE». This isn’t going to be a fad and die off, anyone who wants to make $ should jump on this immediately!

Walking around Dolphin Mall craving ice cream led me to this new kiosk in the food court. Its a Gelato kiosk right next to Haagen Daz and it surely gives it a run for its money. I’m usually not one to spend $ 10 on some ice cream but I rather have this than Cold Stone any day. This Gelato is top notch deliciousness compared to the overly sweet ice cream that hides behind mix– ins. The mix-ins here though are mostly fresh fruit that has to be some of the best I’ve ever tried, especially the strawberries. A small cup of gelato is $ 5 but a sundae(which contains probably five times s much gelato as the small) is just $ 10 so I would suggest this if you’re with a group, especially since you get to pick three different flavors. I have to confess though, this is my first time having Gelato so it may not be as great as I think. But until I try more Gelato from different places(which will happen), I am a fan of this wonderful kiosk.
