Al Carbon

I really enjoyed this place. I ordered Nana’s favorite with a side of sweet potato fries. The burger was flavorful and absolutely delicious. The sweet potato fries are probably the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back for more.

My family went for lunch and we had blood from the waitress on our napkins and our straws. She said it was ketchup but then admitted it was from her finger. The manager or owner gave me 10% off. Can you believe this. I will never go back to this place. I know this can happen in a restaurant but at least they should have not charged me at all. They are lucky I didn’t call rthe health department.

I have had the food twice and their burgers are lovely. I like the idea of having infusions of mushrooms, cheese, etc in the mix with the meat. You can tell that the potato chips are made fresh and they’re perfect with crispy goodness. Their wings are great too. They’re a little more crispy than I like. However, for a burger shop, their wings are great. I would definitely have them again. The only reason I give a four instead of a five is for the bathrooms and overall facilities. I don’t really care about it as long as the food is good but the bathrooms were a little unkempt and the art was not my taste. If I simply judged their food, I would give a five. If you’re not feeling the vibes, take it to go? I would still advise paying them a visit if you’re feeling a really good burger with some stellar homemade chips or ridiculously good fries. It’s not a bad place to watch the game.

I live 3 blocks down the street this is the BEST place for burgers, i go at least once a week. Before servers were no that nice didnt even smile but now they have female servers they are way nicer. The food has always been amazing now i can say service it is too.

The best empanadas I have ever had. Really crunchy on the outside and full of delicious filling in every bite and it comes with a spicy delicious sauce. Would definitely come here more than 10 times!

Really friendly service, but very subpar food. Went with two friends to get burgers and was underwhelmed. Most of the burgers are stuffed, the cheese or usual toppings cooked inside of the burger. I ordered a medium-​cooked mushroom and Swiss but it came well-​done and took about 45 min to an hour before we were served (on a night that wasn’t crowded).
Aside from the boring burger, the sangria was way too sweet and made with canned fruit cocktail.

I really enjoyed the goat and caramelized onion salad. Add some chicken and you can’t go wrong. I would definitely have it again. Service was a little slow and we were confused who was our server at first. One girl greeted us and took our order then another served us, brought us water and checked on us. And the 1^st girl was behind the bar texting. If they can improve that aspect of the experience, the place would be top notch.

The food is really good.
The burgers are yummy and surprisingly so are the salads. I recommend the Mediterranean salad with steak, it’s super good.
Perhaps sometimes a bit overpriced for what it is but I enjoy the food so w/​e.
My only complain is that it always takes for ever to get our food. It really doesn’t make any sense since it’s never busy whenever we go.
For that reason we don’t go as often as we used to. But still one of my faves.

Really good hamburger from a «boutique» restaurant. A great alternative to the fancy burger chain.
We had the «al carbon» and «de la Pampa.» Both were very good and tasty. The sausage on de la Pampa was nothing great, I expected more. The burgers were cooked to our specifications.
Next time I will certainly venture out into the Hawaiian and the caramelized onions burger.
There was a nice selection of craft beers.
As for the price, this place is not cheap. It’s worth it but go there ready to spend a few extra bucks over fancy burger chain restaurant.

I conveniently work 5 minutes away from Al Carbon and made a trip to the restaurant for
Lunch to pick up the 12 chicken wings I ordered.
When I arrived at the restaurant, there were four tables occupied and plenty of extra tables free. This was a plus because it’s a place I now know I can visit during lunch and don’t have to wait an extensive amount of time to sit and eat.
Once I got past the interesting décor, I headed to the bar at the back of the restaurant where I was promptly attended and brought my food. The lady that helped me already knew what I had ordered and repeated my order back to me ensuring she had included everything in the bag. Another plus. When I finally reached my office I noticed the container was left open and this was worth two pluses! I have ordered fried food before and have learned that closed containers makes for soggy food. This was fortunately not the case this time. My wings were crispy but not drenched in oil, and delicious enough not to dip in sauce (they conveniently put your sauce on the Side and not directly on top to maintain crisp). I also want to note that the wings were a good size. I will definitely order the wings again. That’s all I ordered however intend to try other menu items on my next visit. Enjoy!

I got a hair on my food, a long and disgusting hair, that somehow will hold the spoon sauce (aji) while I hold a piece of chicken trying to dip it on my sauce

I was a bit skeptical to go in because I’ve never heard of them and well it’s basically a hole in the wall. Once we sat down they were extremely nice with us. We were also the only ones in the restaurant the whole time we ate. My husband ordered a burger and I ordered the Mexican wrap. DELICIOUS !!! You could taste everything the wrap offered. Nicely presented and it didn’t spill once I took my bite off it. Just amazing ! Would def come back !

Not great but good enough. Interesting beers on tap. Fried chicken wings were very good but our churasco was too salty to finish.
After pointing out that our sweet potato fries were not crispy enough to two friendly enough servers who either didn’t understand or care (I couldn’t tell) we gave up.
Sat outside and smoked a cigar afterward, so the street seating came in handy.
Would I go back? Not anytime soon. Just not good enough for a return visit.

Great little place I found just driving by the sign they had outside caught my eye. it said free 1^st beer if its raining, too bad because it wasn’t raining :(went there around 4 o’clock not too busy on a Friday but when I left around two hours later it was packed. SAT by the bar I love all the artwork its like a retro rustic. Had the caramelized onion blue cheese burger with mushrooms basil and steak fries wow it was delish insanely huge burger what flavor. My taste buds was screaming yummy lol. Service was awesome fast quick bartender was awesome had a good conversation with him. Have a wide selection of beers definitely we’ll be coming back here

Ok I just call today to place an order and I was told they change the menu January, 2014 I was sad to hear they don’t have hotdogs anymore and also they change more things, so heads up before you go, make sure to call and check with them to see what they’re serving.

Food is really good here, this was my first and hope to return soon… The dats wrapped in bacon is awesome… I tried the nana burger which comes in a cranberry mayo… Amazing. Really good food.

Any place that caters to my picky foodie OCD tendencies and includes a Tupac quote in its décor is 5 stars by me!
I’d always happen to drive by here after having eaten somewhere else, until tonight. Finally stepping in, the initial impression is of a Latin sports bar with a huge TV showing some soccer game. The menu is mostly burgers and craft beers, with some traditional Argentinian dishes (i.e. churrasco). Besides the sporting event, the soundtrack is rock.
Back to my experience: I was hungry and the appetizer I wanted — bacon wrapped dates — were stuffed with blue cheese per the menu. Blue cheese is for me what broccoli was for George Bush. They prepare them fresh at the restaurant because my plate didn’t have the offensive condiment and instead had sweet dates, wrapped in hot crispy bacon garnished in a balsamic glaze. I like!
Next up was a huge Hawaiian burger. That’s a juicy meat patty, bigger than my hands with sweet, tart pineapple chunks infused into the patty. All that is stuffed into a brioche bun, with traditional burger fixings and went happily into my mouth. I didn’t even need dessert after. I passed on the grown up beverages this time, but my iced tea refills were on point even packing one in a to go cup. Now I know where I can eat when I’m heading to the grove again.

On a friends recommendation I went to Al Carbon to try their burgers. Wow, was I disappointed. Two friends and I went to Al Carbon for lunch. The room itself does not look bad, however based on the fact that there was only one other person in the restaurant at 1:30 PM should have told me something. Our subpar experience started when the waitress approached us to take our order. I do not understand how a restaurant owner can choose to employ service personnel who do not speak english. My friends are American and do not speak any spanish. Even when the waitress realized that they did not speak spanish she continued to addressed them in spanish. Fortunately, I speak spanish and can translate but I feel sorry for english speaking patrons who might stumble upon this establishment.
On the menu the burgers look great. I ordered the Mexican burger along with some sweet potato fries. When I got it I was sorely disappointed. The bun is a critical part of any burger, but in my case I got a burger with a dry, hard bun which killed any enthusiasm I had for the experience. Couple this with the fact that I did not get many sweet potato fries and overall the burger was less than average. My opinion. Take a pass.

I came here for brunch with family and it was great. The atmosphere was visually appealing and so was the food. I had the burger al caballo which was a perfectly cooked burger with sunny side up eggs. I also had the limeade which was freshly made. I definitely would recommend this place.

Great stuffed burgers in Downtown Miami.
Small place with seating inside and out. They added craft beers and burgers to their name. Which is a good thing. I came here recently with a friend The Man The Myth Burgerbeast and we started off with some craft beers. He had the Fat Tire and I had the Brooklyn Brown Ale. Both were very tasty. Then we shared a meat empanada, small fried potatoes, and hotwings. Everything was good and flavorful. They also give you complimentary peanuts. Then we ordered our burgers. He had the burger stuffed with swiss cheese. It reminded him of the Juicy Lucy and I had the burger stuffed with caramelized onions and blue cheese. Both come with your choice of steak fries or chips. Also you can order it the way you like it. The waitress was friendly and fast. Can’t wait to go again and try another burger.

the food is good, we’ve always had good service there except it’s slow but they make everything to order so I guess that’s to be expected. Tonight however, the waiter was horrible, in a hurry and asked us, «que quieres, la cuenta? postre?» for the english speaking, this means, «what do you want?» NEVER, NEVER have I had anyone in the service industry ask me «what do you want?» He really should learn some manners. i’ve never written a bad review for anyone but that was really bad. my husband was shocked too and the tip reflected that. WE are NOT cheap we always tip 18 – 20 percent, but «what do you want?» is really over the top rudeness.
