Would be rating this Walgreen location 2 ½ stars but went up due to a remarkable assistance of Mark the pharmacist that worked ⁹⁄₂₃ approx 8p. We are out of town from California who needs a medicine for my daughter’s ear infection asap to make her comfortable for our return flight the next day. This pharmacy location am staff gave me the run abouts of going to another Walgreens, went to different locations to make sure we provide the antibiotic, pain drops for my toddler but apparently some locations closet at 7p which is closest to our hotel in Collins. We were told to go to this location but it is inconvenient due to a far location from our resort. I called this location and spoke to Mark and informed him of our issue. He made sure that my daughter gets the antibiotic and the ear drop. He found a closest Walgreen location the carries the prescribed med and called me to make sure it happens. This is a true epitome of customer service that a Walgreens staff should convey. If not for him, our frustrations as parents and out of towners may have worsen but he helped alleviate the issue. This location is lucky to have Mark in their staff and should provide proper customer service to the other staff of Walgreens. I must say their is a difference with work ethics from my observation in California versus Florida, these observations were from Orlando, Key West and Miami, it seems that they will rather «pass the buck» than do the work but with Mark who relocate from Midwest had actually made a difference. Thank you for your help and this location should be aware what an asset you are to their premise.

I have been to this Walgreens more times than I can count. The managers are rude and very lazy some of the employees are lazy and rude and they seem like they are not interested in hiring African Americans. Every time I go to this location and I have to use the restroom they either don’t have any soap paper towels or toilet paper. Oh and get this their toilet in the men’s restroom is broken and its been like that going on 3wks I called corporate office to inform them about this but, I haven’t gotten one phone call from them about my complaint and the other problem is that this Walgreens is over priced. The excuse for not being affordable is this is the beach and Miami Beach FL is a lot expensive than other places. Here’s another one I filled my mother’s prescription at the other Walgreens on Collins Ave near 72^nd street, in Miami Beach FL and the price was $ 36.69 but I wasn’t able to get it then so I was told that no matter what location I go to the price will be the same. I went to the Alton Rd location cross street 19^th and the prescription was $ 11.85 more I’m looking at the lady like you’re kidding me right she said no. I told her that I went to the other Walgreens and the price i was given was $ 36.69 her response was I don’t know how you were quoted that price. I asked for a manager and the guy who is the manager was new and didn’t have a solution to my problem but he walked off. So I asked for the manager over him finally someone who knew what they were doing but even after talking to him I was still upset about the price of the medicine. I have some pics of the restrooms the other problem I have is that they allow the men to use the women’s restroom and the women to use the men’s restroom. That’s dangerous as hell I remember one Time I knocked on the door of the men’s restroom and a lady responded saying I’ll be right out.

I love Walgreens, I probably go four to five times a week but I absolutely can not deal with this one, I am a sobe local and I will still drive to 41^st or the one on Collins and 73^rd simply because this one is awful, one time I came in and asked an employee what isle cat litter was in (this was my first time visiting after moving to sobe) she replied she did not know… How can you work at a store and be trained yet not know what isle products are in? Another night I came after work (1 am) to pick up milk none, just almond milk? How can you possibly have almond milk yet not regular milk? Don’t waste your time here drive a little further there are better deals and better customer service.

The structure’s location along the east-​side of Alton Road has made it almost impossible to reach by automobile without delay and hassle since Miami Beach road crews tore up the two east-​side lanes of this major north-​south thoroughfare. Unless you’re afoot or dropped onto the site by helicopter, the old adage proves true: «You can’t get there from here!»

I am writing strictly for the Walgreens liquor store section — I looked everywhere for holiday sets when liquor companies give away free shakers and glasses with their booze in nicely wrapped boxes, etc. I looked everywhere, couldn’t find any, until I came here. There were well stocked with holiday sets and I was able to purchase the hundreds of dollars of merchandise that I wanted, and will make a LOT of people very merry and cheery this holiday!!! Tis the season and thanks!!!

If they would do something about the bums always sitting outside asking money, this place would be better. I get it, they need somewhere to go to but to sit out there and chain smoke packs they just bought inside and then yell at you to give them change is annoying. It makes me not want to shop here :(and I love my drugstores!

Oh yes another Walgreens to shop at. Brand new location, good size, good selection. Stopped in yesterday as I needed to grab a few thing’s. This store is super dangerous you go in for one thing and walk out with so much more. The merchandising skills makes it super tempting.
I found exactly what I wanted plus a few other items. I really like the layout of the store with aisle’s that are easy to navigate through. They had a DJ set up in the front of the store playing tunes that were at a good sound volume. My only surprise was they are still in their Grand Opening and they had hardly no employees working. There was no one at the cosmetics counter, in which I picked an item that said «please pay at cosmetics counter». Well with no staff there how can you?
Walgreens typically has weekly sales flyer’s and they always have great deals. After many many years shopping in this store you must check how they ring up. I bought two products that were on sale, not needing a coupon and no surprise they did not ring up properly. When I told the cashier, she was not very friendly about it at all. She roughly grabbed the ad, found the product, no apology and fixed it as if I was bothering her.
Come on Walgreens, brand new store, nice location get some friendlier staff please!
As I walked up to the front to check out I noticed what a bad design they did with the cash out counter. It is angled right in front of the door which you get a few people in line and you will have an issue. Not the best layout at all.
I appreciate the new location, and will stop in again hoping for more staff and better Customer Service.

The store itself is great. The pharmacy has the biggest bunch of morons working for them. Only the manager seems to have her act together. It is impossible to get stuff done at the pharmacy but because they are near my house I have been going to them for years.
