Came here for a sandwich and was told«no sandwiches today, only food» then the guy with broken English tells me «food and cheeseburger» so I took a burger. He tells me it’s $ 11 and I show him the menu says $ 9.99. He says today is a special day. Horrible service and experience

If you’re traveling in Miami with 16 other brown dudes, Vecinos is the place to go. Conspicuously located at the bottom of a seemingly empty condo building, the restaurant comfortably seats your caravan of friends, especially if you move the tables into a giant L position. The abuela who serves the restaurant is spunky, so expect awesome service despite your overwhelming experience. Food and coffee is delicious. If driving, there’s only valet, and the cranky jerk at the front desk of the condo will not fail to pester you about showing him your valet ticket. Don’t waste your money at other Cuban restaurants on Miami Beach, and go to Vecinos.

I haven’t had Cuban before but this was delicious. Not overpriced and really good meals. Tasty cooking and affordable prices. Took me 10 min to walk here for lunch from the beach view park where I went to the beach and parked.

The food is good. HOWEVER the hostess/waitress that was there the day we went was absolutely awful. It was an older lady who acted like she didn’t need our business. I’m not sure if she was upset that we walked in an hour before their close time… She didn’t greet us, didn’t offer beverages, didn’t smile, didn’t even say goodbye when we left the restaurant. I would not recommend this place. That is not the way to run a small business, even if a customer walks in 30 or 15 mins before it closes.

This is a little café in a condo building. If you want Cuban food at a reasonable price, try it! Plantains, yucca, beans, savory meats and traditional sandwiches. Good selection of kids dishes. We each had a good meal.

Been here a few times now… good Cuban food. Very casual, don’t expect service as if in a restaurant. It’s more cafetería style. But food is good esp for being Miami beach… I love their coladas and sandwiches. And I will try chefs specialty pasta soon. The vecinos super sandwich is on point. If you come here expecting service and a restaurant experience u will be disappointed.

We have an apartment in the building! Such a good place to grab a quick bite if you’re in the area or live nearby. We got the grouper filet special, and the fish was fresh and was seasoned perfectly(not too much and not too little). The rice was OK, and the mashed potatoes were good! I’m just happy that the main part of my meal was so delicious. (Also, someone mentioned that they are rude unless you’re Spanish, and I cannot agree with that. I’m Spanish, but I don’t look it and neither does my friend who accompanied me. We were polite and ultimately ordered in English, and the woman who took our order was nice and spoke her best English as well).

This restaurant is right across the street from the building I live in and for some reason I had never tired it until just recently. Big mistake on my part because the food is great. When I went I got a Cuban sandwich… I know its not the most exciting but it was still delicious. If you’re in the area of the 5600 block of Collins and looking for some authentic Cuban food I suggest checking it out.

Pleasant surprise! Down from NH and hungry, and Vecinos did not disappoint! Family run, everyone was very friendly and discouraged us from ordering too much food. Isaac and his folks were very welcoming! Food was great! We had fajita stir fry, chicken soup, tuna melt, Cuban sandwiches and more. Nothing to crab about. If you’re in this part of town, check it out! No signage which makes it hard to find, but well worth the hunt!

Whoever said this place was a hidden gem was right on! Don’t be frightened away by the café vibe or casual atmosphere. The food is amazing, I’m sitting here contemplating a second bowl of soup. Not for lack of quantity, it was just that delicious! Thank you to the chef and to the others who directed us here.

great hidden spot if you end up staying this far up Collins. we were at an airbnb across the street and was looking for a place to get authentic food before hitting the beach. This café is located inside the 5600 building. We ordered a steak sandwich and a Cuban sandwich. They come with either the chicken noodle soup or fries. The soup is a big portion and is served nice and hot(and not too salty). It was a perfect cure for our hangover!

About as local /authentic as it gets! Inexpensive, family-ran, hole in the wall(inside the condo building). Worth a try. Fried plantains were awesome.

They are extrememly rude unless you are spanish. I have ordered at least 7 times simply bc i live nearby and it NEVER fails. The food is greasy and if u didnt order in spanish who knows what youll end up w IF they even pick up the phone. Called today, they picked up and were screaming at each other in spanish b4 they hung up on me and didnt pick up the phone when i called back afterwards. The most UNPROFESSIONAL business arrangement i have ever witnessed. Save as a last resort when u are starving and r stuck in the house. Otherwise go to Puerta Sagua for the REAL deal cuban food!

This little spot is located within the building and is not well known. There’s a $ 6.00 valet parking fee but worth it. Everything is made there from Cuban sandwiches to a great grouper nice and fresh with 2 sides for $ 12 it was very reasonable. The owner had tamal as the special and brought us 2 of the tastiest tamales I have ever eaten– yummy ! Homemade desserts too; super nice people too and facing the bay.

Just wanted to congratulate Isaac in their«new» home on 41st Street. It’s beautiful, and immaculate as always! For 15 years, Vecino’s grew based on just good old«word of mouth», and they have proven to be a «home away from home» for busy professionals, mom(like me). Thank you Nancy, Isaac and Isaac Jr. We love you! Best family restaurant in town! Thank you!!!

I eat here at least once a week. The best sandwich is the«vecino’s super sandwich» by far. Just get it! I’ve never had anything that wasn’t very good and the price is EXTREMELY reasonable. Valet parking is free if you eat at the restaurant as well.
