Have ordered from here twice and the food has been amazing both times. Looking forward to ordering again and many more times there of!

This place is amazing– delish delish.
The pad k moo so tasty and was amazing and their green tea is soothing and everything a green tea should be!

Love the food, but wish they would clean-​up. They had a negative health inspection report 12÷29÷15!

I was looking forward to eating at Katana, but forgot how crowded they could get, even on a weekday. Since my friend isn’t known to be a patient person, we decided to find another sushi restaurant nearby, and my Unilocal app pointed me to this place. We walked on over and entered the deserted restaurant. We noticed right away that this place is more of a «takeout/​delivery» spot, rather than a «dine-​in» spot, judging by the amount of times we saw a driver taking food out to his motorcycle. This would explain the empty restaurant. Not necessarily a bad sign, if they have a steady stream of orders.
We were immediately seated and scanned over their Thai and Sushi menu while listening to chanting monks in the background. Since I was craving sushi, I decided to try their sushi, while my friend chose to stick with Pad Thai, a safe choice. My sushi came with either a miso soup or a salad and since I was hot after that short walk, I opted for the salad, which is more refreshing than a hot bowl of soup. A few minutes later, the salad arrived. Though it was heavy on the thick, orange dressing, which according to my usual experiences is ginger dressing, the dressing actually did not have much taste at all. If anything, perhaps it tasted of carrots and sesame, but not that spicy ginger taste we all know. My friend got a Wonton soup, and he was surprised to find a shrimp, but he enjoyed it.
I ordered a Tuna Lover’s sushi. It was fresh, and I quickly devoured it, though the wasabi wasn’t as hot as it should be. Unfortunately, I was still hungry after eating the sushi. My friend did not suffer the same fate, as his plate was full of noodles and chicken. The bill was okay, not too high but not dirt cheap either. The food was okay too but not what I would consider memorable (at least based on what I ordered). I guess the moral of the story is, if you’re not too hungry, you should be okay ordering sushi from here. It is fresh, and you won’t have to worry about becoming violently ill. If you’re hungry, opt for a Thai dish or any other dish that is not sushi, or opt for adding some appetizers or dessert to fill you up. Oh, and opt for takeout or delivery, unless you don’t mind dining in a completely empty restaurant.

Great quality. Quick delivery. The spring rolls and the shrimp green curry are excellent. I’ve never been disappointed by the food or service.

I am glad I ended up ordering from here. The name didn’t appeal to me as I was looking for Thai and not a fusion; but this ended up being some of the best Thai food I ever had. From appetizers to our meals I was pleased

Was craving some sushi and came across this wonderful place on Unilocal!We ordered a vegetable roll, wakame salad, and massaman curry. Everything was superb and arrived quickly! So happy that those of us in North Beach no longer have to settle for places like Iron Sushi (terrible). Will be ordering from them again tonight!

Totally incompetent delivery service. I live in the Flamingo (HUGE complex, can’t miss it), and have my delivery address entered perfectly in Eat 24 (including information stating that I live in the Flamingo, and in which tower). About an hour after placing my delivery order, I got a call from an individual from the restaurant confirming my address, which I promptly confirmed. 20 minutes later a driver calls me, and I confirm my address, complex name, tower and apartment number once again and give them detailed delivery instructions. 10 minutes later a third individual calls me and I give them the exact same, explicit delivery instructions and again confirm my address. Finally, a fourth phone call (a total of an hour and a half later), I instructed them to simply cancel the order, as my patience had worn thin and I was hesitant to eat sushi that had been carted back and forth through the Miami Heat.
I wish I could speak as to the quality of the food, but if you’re looking for delivery I would take your business elsewhere!

We always have the sushi delivered. It is super fresh and very yummy. Terrific.

Really awful customer experience.
I ordered for my wife and myself two Chirashi orders for delivery, it came quickly and the delivery man was nice, I accepted the delivery too happy because I was getting my food to notice that I was only being charged for one… When I called the restaurant they said that it was essentially my fault, I was even ok with (it could have well been), I just wanted to put another order in because it was really late, but the lady brought up the point that because it was my fault I would have to pay for the delivery charge again, I was also rushed and told to to call again when I was ready to order because she had to take other calls.
I would have liked her to be more apologetic, even if she could not take off the delivery charge, especially because once I hung up my wife told me that she did hear me ask for two orders.
To that point I was just simply not going to order again from Sun Sushi, but then our Chirashi left so much to be desired, the pieces were too thinly sliced and too few of them, definetively not worth the price.
I would strongly recommend people to not order from here

Very, very good food, great service

I orderd some dishes for delivery. They were on time. Very good food I ordered some shrimps, rolls, salmon carpacio and more. But when the food arrived it looks less than the picture. Finaly it was not enough for 5. I am glad that I prepared some rice. Asian of course. But now I know. I will order more next time

Cheapest sushi you’ll ever taste. The shrimp tempura rolls had a Tiny piece of shrimp. The yellow tail was bitter. Not good

I was dissapointed. The place doesn’t look nice inside at all, especially compared to the pictures posted on Unilocal.Edamame, papaya salad and seefood ceviche was very bad. Salmon avocado roll was good, but i asked for brown rice and i got white rice anyways. And it’s overpriced for that environment and the food quality. The bill was $ 70 for 3 people and everyone left hungry. I feel sorry for leaving bad feedback (I’m doing it the first time) but it is what it is.

Great food! This looks like my go to from now on for Thai. Check them out!
I first tried them for delivery, a the delivery time was as expected given the distance. Portions were generous, food was delicious, great experience. Chicken satay were as good as anywhere. Calamari, meh. Papaya salad, large serving and fantastic! Massaman curry with beef, very tasty. Duck with tamarind sauce, amazing!
Today we decided to dine in for lunch. I’m glad I did! Fried Thai wontons were a good starter, but the entrees were winners once again! Fried whole snapper in a spicy chili sauce was incredible — I have a very high tolerance for spiciness, and while they did make it very spicy as I requested, I could see it being way too spicy for most. Duck with tamarind sauce and massaman curry were ordered again with the same results as the first. This time we ordered the massaman curry with pork and it was just as delicious! The portions are even more generous than delivery, very happy with this!
To top it off, the owner brought us complementary Thai donuts. I will be recommending Sun Sushi to everyone I can! Thank you!

This place is great a hidden gem in North Beach. I had a salad, tuna and shrimp tempura rolls and took the green curry home to try …(wow it was great). The homemade ginger dressing, fresh fish and amazingly tasty yummy curry made me a fan
The atmosphere is simple décor with approx. 10 tables and sushi bar so go for the food or get delivery!
I am going again… if the quality remains this good I’ll up my rating to 5 stars

The owner is very nice and a professional. He used to be the head sushi chef at the Delano until he decided to do the American Dream of owning your own business. Great sushi and so much attention to detail when he made our sushi rolls. It was nice to watch him make it.

Found them through the Eat 24 app (free delivery!) and have ordered a couple of times since. Delivery could be a bit faster, but the food is definitely fresh every time and the prices are very reasonable for the area. Ate in once too and the staff was friendly.
I’ve had the big eye tuna pizza (love!) and wakame, plus the classics: chicken pad Thai, red curry chicken and wonton soup — all good choices. I really enjoyed the tanzana roll (hamachi, avocado, asparagus and scallions), and out of curiosity ordered the harumaki (chicken and cheese spring roll), which was essentially a quesadilla in roll form but quite tasty. The iced Thai tea is also a delicious treat :)
