Shortcake Cupcakes

I am obsessed with her berry filled cupcakes. The blueberry is delish along with the strawberry shortcake along with her pumpkin and carrot cake. She uses whole ingredients, like fresh carrots in the carrot cake. The frosting is not too sweet like store bought cupcakes.
I use these cupcakes to give as incentives to my clients, and they work like a charm.

Miami’s mini cupcakes have nothing on the gargantuan deliciousness that are Kristie’s cupcakes!
I had the pleasure to sink my teeth into her heavenly Strawberry Shortcake cupcake and the super decadent almost brownie like Oreo cupcake!

I had one of their strawberry shortcake cupcakes from the alibi, as well. Must say, really really good. I don’t think its in the same ballpark as some of the south miami hitters, but I don’t think it’s in the same sport either.
Something is different about this cupcake. I was just starting to get a bit bored of all these immaculate cupcakes, so when I bit into a Kristie cupcake, it was oh… oh, so good. The freshness of the flavors and the perfect cuts of strawberry in the middle damn near made me want to knock over the king cake I had been eating.
I’m excited to see what else she has to offer. You all should be too.

Last night I kept raving these are the best cupcakes I’ve ever had! And being a cupcake junkie I don’t say that lightly. I have sampled every cupcake shop in a 20 mile radius from South Miami (that I know of) and I thought I knew which ones were my favorites. Until last night at The Alibi when everything changed.
I kept hearing Maria say how unbelievable the strawberry shortcake was, so I had to find out for myself. I marched over to the back window and handed over $ 3 unsure of what I would be given, in return I received a cute cupcake with a tiny strawberry slice on top. The cake is just moist enough and the icing is the perfect level of sweetness. But the best part of all are the real strawberries inside, making this no ordinary indulgence.
Later on after the strawberry shortcake was long gone, the cook came out to tell us more about these cupcakes and where they were made! Maybe he heard us chatting about them since we spent a good 30 minutes of the night convincing each other to try them — I felt like such a spokeswoman, but that just shows how much I liked them. If only I had taken one for the road.

Strawberry Shortcake is now more than my all-​time favorite childhood cartoon, it’s my favorite cupcake.
Last night while feasting on crawfish and po boys at The Alibi I was told they had strawberry shortcake cupcakes and I decided that no Mardi Gras celebration would be complete without something truly sin inducing.
The cupcake is adorable with an actual sliced strawberry on top. The cake is moist and flavorful with a mix of vanilla and strawberry. The icing isn’t too sweet so this doesn’t leave you feeling like you’re about to fall into a saccharin coma.
I shared my lovely little cake with my fellow Unilocalers and suddenly people were ordering more of those small treats.
