My sister and i visited Paquitos on Washington ave, South Beach a few times during our travels. We were graciously invited into the quaint little restaurant by the owner, Antonio. We had such a amazing experience in his company and the food was absolutely delicioso. The ambiance was great, the food was delicious and the host was absolutely genuine and so passionate. we cannot wait to return on to his other restaurant which is in downtown miami… he tells us there’s karaōke and live mariachi band on some days of the week! Thanks Antonio and see you soon :) Faria y Sina(de Canada)

How does this place have a 4 star average? If I could give a –1 I would. Food was so bad I couldn’t help myself from leaving a review. Worst Mexican food you will ever find… Owner took our order and he seemed to be having a bad day. I asked him what carnitas was, I said it probably is beef, right? His answer was beef is beef and pork is pork… ! Excuse me??? Very rude. Then I thought that maybe the food was going to make up for the bad service. To be honest I have never had such a bad burrito! Also ordered a ground beef taco which tasted like they haven’t clean their grill in months. My sister ate everything just because we were hungry. I finished half of it and regret it. Terrible. Do not even bother going to this place.

Burritos were awful, the ground beef was very low quality. Also be careful with the owner, pretty sure he charged me for extra stuff but you can’t see a list or numbers as he puts it into the system. No idea why this place has so many stars.

We arrived at 12:30 and the door was locked. Unilocal says they open at 12. A sign in the restaurant said they open at 12, yet when I called to inquire about the locked door, they told me they open at 1. Fine. We’ll wait. Ordered the most almost mediocre food ever, which arrived on styrofoam plates. It wasn’t hot and it wasn’t good. Now, it wasn’t BAD, mind you, but it was extremely disappointing. Nothing especially exceptional about this place at all. Oh. Their pico de gallo was amazing.

No idea how this place gets such good reviews. Ordered Chicken Fajitas which was okay/not bad(hence the 2nd star) and a Steak Burrito which as was absolutely tasteless, I mean like really no taste whatsoever. And that’s it, there’s not much else to say about this place. My guess is it tastes better at 1am after partying and drinking for hours.

This experience was a real disappointment. The place is clean and the help was very nice. I also really liked the salsa selection they had. However, my steak burrito was terrible. All I could taste was the retried beans and sour cream. Low quality ingredients that surprised me given the Unilocal reviews. Perhaps it all tastes better at 1 am.

You can do better. I appreciate a hole in the wall eatery but the whole point is that the delicious food is supposed to make you overlook the filth, right? Empty at 8:00 on a Saturday night, stale chips, underwhelming food, friendly staff.

Very good tacos and friendly staff. I like the meatballs as well which is an interesting item for a taco place.

Food is well priced compared to the area. Tasted great and the staff here was extremely friendly. Definitely a spot to hit up and is a local business! A new hot spot for me

Just got back from an amazing time at Paquitos with my partner! The owner Antonio was super nice and welcoming on a slow Sunday night. After ordering, we sat down to enjoy some crunchy chips, a delicious salsa bar, and the cute/funky atmosphere with Univision playing in the corners. My partner enjoyed her tacos & flautas de carnitas: all with corn tortillas. I ordered a quesadilla de nopal(cactus), but they apologetically told me they could only do a little nopal mixed with other veggies. While feasting on the splendid quesadilla, they were able to procure some more nopal and made me an exquisite guarache de nopal on the house! We’ll definitely be back soon.

The food was average. I asked for two chimichangas. They delivered one. We waited about 10 minutes before asking then when we did, found out they only made one/charged me for one. It was $ 42 for one chimi, one burrito, two crunchy tacos, chips n sslsa and 4 sodas. The tip is added before you ever get your food so regardless of food or service, they got my money. I split my chimi with my husband. About 2⁄3 through, I bit into a toothpick. The toothpick they used to hold it together while deep frying it, broke off in my chimi!!! The thing that bugged me the most was their lack of concern both for not preparing my order correctly and for the toothpick. I guess for a party town it is probably sufficient. For me, never again.

Super nice authentic place! Eat in, take out or they even have delivery. Tostadas are AMAZING! Ask for jugo de tamarindo, fajitas are very tasty. Forget about all those fancy named commercial taco places. Here you will have authentic flavor at very reasonable price. Did I mention that they are open till 5 am? So go there and enjoy cz everything is super good!

A great place to have an inexpensive meal! We went there for dinner at 10pm and their food was warm and delicious! Highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a much cheaper alternative around the Ocean Dr area! The shredded beef burrito we had was yummy!

Worth the drive to the beach for this little hole in the wall. The tortas were delicious! In all truth everything was soooooo good and fresh. Definitely coming back here.

The food was average at best… I was excited to visit this little hole in the wall and according to previous reviews enjoy something tasty. Unfortunately the food was mediocre and bland. The salsa was fresh and the guacamole was good but it could not make up for that steak burrito. The steak wasn’t seasoned and I ended up dumping more than half of it.

Flew in late so finding a quick stop to eat was necessary. Stumbled into this Taco spot and was surprised at the quality of food so late at night(1am). Had the Chorizo and chicken tacos… They were great! The owner, Antonio was super cool and broke down some items I hadn’t heard about. He also has a salsa layout that was amazing. He was very accommodating and even suggested places to visit while I was in Miami. Love this place for its attention to detail in their food prep. Feels like I found a hidden gem.

Wow! What a find! This place is so, so good if you’re looking for a more authentic Mexican food experience on South Beach. Excellent amount of options, and really good salsa. It’s a pretty small space, maybe only fitting in 20 people at maximum, but I can’t find any other downsides to stuffing your face with one of their guaraches.

Tacos al pastor were terrific. They serve their tracks with cheese and sour cream. I think Paquitos is trying to cater American tastes while still being authentic. I wanted my taco traditional style, and they are happy I asked for it to be prepared that way — soft corn tortilla, no sour cream, no cheese. As I waited for my freshly cooked taco, I was served a small basket of chips, two salsas, guacamole, and queso. Will return for the taco sampler and other interesting items in the menu.

No outdoor seating. Only one table for four inside. Otherwise sit at a counter along wall. You order at the counter. I got the 4 taco sampler. The pork was so salty I couldn’t eat it. The ground beef, steak, and chicken were just okay. The tacos are served in flour shells and topped with shredded cheddar cheese… NOT authentic. The chips and salsa are $ 2.99 for a plate of chips. You then pick your salsa from the salsa bar. I liked the habanero salsa. The refried beans were not good. I am a bean connoisseur and these tasted canned and then burnt on a stove. They didn’t look like any refried beans I had ever seen before. You can see it in my picture. The sampler was $ 8.99, which was affordable for South Beach. There is a bathroom behind the door that says«Staff Only». The ladies working said they are related to the Paquito restaurant in Aventura. I haven’t been, but don’t think I’ll run there to try it after this meal. There is metered street parking out front. If you aren’t paying attention you will walk right by this place. The signage isn’t very good.
