For such a tourist-heavy location… this Outback Steakhouse could be better. But it’s not very inviting. due to the lack of personality of the employees. It seems like there’s always someone newly trained here. and trained in a bad way. i have never seen this place packed with people. and hardly ever a wait. There is NO designated parking for curbside take away. You’re lucky if you find a meter parking spot beside the building. There is a parking deck right behind Outback Steakhouse and you can get it validated for free after your meal from the hostess. the margaritas are great. as always. cheap. Definitely a good place to pre-game. haha.

It was my last choice because everything else was closed around… I’m sure you can find better food and service were just ‘ok’ and the place is nothing exceptional. I also hate the fact that they added the service 18% by default(we were only 2)

I have eaten at a lot of Outback Steakhouses — a lot. Usually when you have a chain, the food is identical across the board and it is the service that makes or breaks that particular store. Not so much with Outback, there is definitely a difference in service and quality from all other chain locations. To add insult to injury, the check already includes an 18% gratuity regardless of the number of people in your party and regardless of the service you receive. The ENTIRE point of a gratuity is as an incentive for the servers to perform well; if the servers know that they are going to receive the gratuity regardless of the situation then the service suffers; which it does at this Outback. We almost always get the same thing when we come here: Shrimp on the Barbie Gold Coast Coconut Shrimp 6oz Sirloin(med.rare) with sweet potato and baked potato soup 8oz Prime Rib(medium) with french fries, au jus, and baked potato soup. The Coconut Shrimp paired with the Spicy marmalade dipping sauce has not been copied nor improved upon by anyone. Outback still has the market cornered on this item. The shrimp have crunchy breading with a moist interior while the dipping sauce has a slight sweetness that is coupled with a slight spice and piquancy that just wets my appetite. The Shrimp on the Barbie are grilled with a blackening seasoning and served with a remoulade sauce. While the shrimp remains the same — and good — the remoulade sauce has changed. The disparate flavors of the ingredients are very much noticeable and ruin the integration of the entire plate. It tastes too much of mustard and relish. The arrival of the soups was a little labored as we had to remind our server several times that we wanted the soup prior to the meal. When it arrived, though, I was somewhat disappointed. The soup was watery and had very little actual potatoes in it. Coupled with the fact that the server was skimpy with the garnish toppings(cheese, bacon, chives). As I muddled through the potato broth, our main entrees arrived. The steaks were good as would be expected of Outback. Both the sirloin and the prime rib were cooked to the proper temperatures while not being too dry. The french fries were fine, nothing special, and tasted as you would get anywhere else while the sweet potato was actually cooked fairly well so as to not require too much butter. As a chain restaurant, I expect much more from the service and the food. It is not like the chef or the management really has to be creative in any way, all they have to do is make certain that their quality control is on point and that the service is exemplary. I must say, overall, that I have experienced better at other Outback Steakhouses.

Best Value in Sobe? Absolutely. 2 blocks from the ocean, so it is not right on ODB. They have $ 210 ounce beers and $ 3 Margaritas. You can get a double for $ 5.50. We went on a Friday night at 7pm in season and were seated right away. Even though our waitress was new, everything went very smoothly and we had no issues. I got the Prime Rib rare with loaded potato and wedge salad. For the cost everything was very good. This is a great place to pre-party before you got to ODB.

Sensibility and affordability are back in style! Before I even walked in the restaurant I was pleased to know that my parking(at SOUTHBEACH) is free~ you have to park in the parking garage on 5th and Washington and get your ticket validated at the restaurant! Food was as good as I remember from Outback– ate the new Alice Springs Quesadilla(yum) and the Ahi Tuna My entrée was the Outback Special steak(for $ 9.95)! WOW and had to splurge for the Key Lime Pie as my desert! Pleased to find out that they had 15 meals under $ 15 and Happy Hour 2−4−1! We had a great time! A rare find on South Beach! Will be back soon!

Outback only opened their South Beach location in the last year or so. And even though I try to stay away from chain restaurants when I can, sometimes I just need a familiar menu with choices that I grew up on. Outback definitely delivers just that. Since the last time I’d eaten there(many, many years ago), they’ve added a lot of new items to their menu, and changed some of the older ones. The bloomin’ onions coming out of the kitchen all looked delicious, but we opted for the Aussie cheese fries instead, and these were equally as fabulous. The caesar salad was overdressed, but good, with a bit of a kick to it, which was enjoyable. I opted for the smaller Victoria filet with a side of mashed sweet potatoes, since I was really craving some red meat. And where else can you get a decent-sized filet for under $ 20?! The steak was cooked perfectly, and was fabulous. And the mashed sweet potatoes, served with brown sugar and crushed pecans was outstanding! There’s a parking garage around the corner, and with the restaurant’s validation, it’s apparently only $ 2 per hour. However, there are numerous metered spots on Washington, as well as on several of the cross streets.
