I am a local resident in South Beach. I have been going to this salon for nearly 2 years. Nafsika is an artist with nails and the other two nail techs are fantastic too as I’ve had appointments with them as well. Eddie has done my hair and done a fantastic job! They are so accommodating to my crazy travel schedule and are always willing to work around things to get me in. They are so accommodating! The salon is clean, modern and a pleasure to be in. Parking is fine! Lucky to have parking on South Beach for FREE! Tea, coffee, wine? They have that too! They make you feel at home and comfortable while your there. They are up to date with all the modern nail techniques… SNS for nails? They have it! Massages? Body scrubs? All great! They are open on Sunday’s, what more could you want? Im a local neighbor in SB and I have been going to Mc Allister Spa for months now, and I have never been happier!!! Nafsika does the best eyelashes, i love blue and purple!!. She also cares for my nails and ever since I have been perfectly manicured. The salon is so cool and have a nice vibe, they are very easy to work and schedule. The best haircuts by Mark and Eddie. This is my only one spot stop for all my beauty needs now because they have a great talented professional crew. The parking is a huge plus since no one offers parking in miami beach… and yes they even offer good wine and great green tea !!! Love you guys keep it up!!!

I’m not one to write bad reviews, but the nail service at this salon deserves one.
I was referred by a friend and decided to try this place. First off, parking is a mess. If the 2 spots in front of the salon are taken, there is a gravel lot in the back to park in — if you have a small (non-​SUV) sports car, forget parking here since it’s on a huge incline and it’s all gravel.
Next, the nail room of the salon is a joke. The chairs you sit on are ripped and stained with nail polish. The table used for manicures is one long table, so if the person next to you is getting their nails filed while yours are being painted, the entire table is shaking! And on top of that, this table is only 1.5 feet wide, so your knees are constantly hitting the manicurists knees/​legs. What poor planning and it’s definitely not relaxing!
Finally, the manicurist I had did not to a good job on a simple manicure. She filed my nails all different lengths, and I had to one by one show her every fingernail so that she could correct this, and in the process all the length of my nails disappeared. And the nail clipper she was going to use was rusted… Moreover, 2 manicurists were having a personal conversation as I was getting my nails done that was extremely loud and totally unprofessional. Also, for gel manicures, their nail polish color selection is lacking. Other salons have at least 3 times the choice of colors that they have :/​
The only plus about this place is the staff are friendly and they have lots of open appointments. Definitely will not be coming back here. I expect so much more for a pricey boutique salon in the heart of south beach.

I’ve come to this spa a few times for different services and was pleased with the professionalism and quality that they deliver. Most recently I had a blowout by Christie T. And it was amazing! She is so nice and it was the absolute best blowout I’ve ever had! I highly recommend this salon.

Got a fab haircut here. It was a pleasant experience. The salon was almost empty and it was nice and quiet. Loved the shampoo and haircut, but minus 1 star for the blow dry. The lady who was drying my hair was very rough (I was told she was in training so maybe I should have been prepared). I’ve gotten lots of compliments about my haircut, and already recommended this salon to a friend. It’s easy to make appointments online on their website. Parking lot available.

I’m going to have to update my McAllister Spa review with lower stars. I went back for a trim and the person who normally cuts my hair no longer works there. After speaking with the girl on the phone she made me an appointment with with another hairstylist. I went into the appointment thinking it was going to be the same price as my other visits. Once I went to pay, I was told it would be about $ 30 more. When I booked the appointment, I wasn’t told that the person I was getting charged more. Also, I have gotten my eyebrows threaded a couple of times and they did not come out well. They made them too thin and I hated it. I don’t plan on coming back to McAllister due to the lackluster and inconsistent customer service.

My hair was in serious disaster mode, and I was desperate. I had my first appointment for color and cut with Laura and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results!!! She has a very sophisticated eye and introduced all kinds of fabulous nuances to achieve the red I was looking for. In addition, she respected my wish not to take too much length off even though I knew she had to fix the split ends. I had a blast talking to her – she’s super friendly and funny – and will definitely return. She’s a real gem.

Great nail technicians, everything is clean and sanitized, highly recommend. I would come back if I lived in Miami. ! Marlene and Constance were really great

Eddie seriously saved my hair! I had the hardest time finding someone after moving to Miami. Lots of people are into the trendy looks, bleach, etc., but Eddie is a true visionary.
I went in with very dull color and extreme damage. He convinced me to cut off inches because the damage really wouldn’t be treated with a trim. I finally know what healthy hair feels like! He gave me a color that was super fresh and worked great for my face and skin and new length. I’m now hooked and won’t go to anyone else!

Had a wonderful experience while getting extensions for the first time. Eddie was very skilled, very patient and made this process enjoyable. The teamwork at this salon between Eddie and Jason made me feel like I was the most important client of the day. It’s a unique experience in South Beach to receive great service, kindness and outstanding results.

Read all of the great reviews about this place so I figured I would give them a shot. I had gone a year and a few months without cutting my hair and decided to go back to the fade style haircut I had before. Eddie is the man! He took care of my wild hair and left me walking out with an awesome hair cut. Very friendly staff and nice location as well. I would highly recommend anyone to go there, man or woman! I went to Eddie for single process color and highlights after being disappointed with my last stylist from another salon on South Beach that I had been going to for a year — she was rushing me through, and the quality was not good. Eddie definitely has a gift and really cares about the outcome. I described the color I was going for — and he totally got it. He is the first stylist that ever has! And his attention to detail was amazing! I was expecting to pay more than at my last salon, but it was around the same price. I definitely recommend him, and I will be going back!

Came here to get my eyelashes permed and they look exactly the same as they did before the perm. They have zero curl to them so I basically threw my $ away. Website says $ 40 but they tried to charge me $ 45. Do not come here for anything eyelash related as the girl does not know what she is doing.

I had my first appointment today with Eddie and my daughter had an appointment with Julie, we went by coincidence because my hairstylist cancelled my appointment because of a family emergency and I have been postponing a haircut for way to long and I could not wait for a change, and let me tell you. I do not regret the coincidence, picked Eddie for the pictures and reviews here on Unilocal and Julie was the only one available for my 3 year old daughter and we both absolutely LOVE IT not only our new look but the service and patience. Vicky who washed and blow dried my hair was absolutely amazing and loving.
I think the price was also very reasonable and even got a blow dry included. Definitely recommend to give it a try. I will be coming back for color soon

I’d never been to a SPA before. My girlfriend took me here and we had a great time. Marlene Fonticoba and Constance Tatarov are wonderful people and they’re great at what they do. It was a really pleasant experience. I would definitely go back next time I’m in the area just to say hello and maybe get a manicure…

I read the reviews on this place before going in for my partial highlights — after all, a girls hair is truly important. Since the girl who usually does my hair moved to Hawaii I decided to give it a try. Eddie did my highlights and man did I love the way my hair looks. It’s very natural which I love and it didn’t take long. I loved that he took charge and gave me great advice on whether to do low lights or highlights. I would definitely recommend coming back here and definitely ask for Eddie! He cares and actually takes his time making you look your best — see you in 3 – 4 months Eddie!

Mark Holloway is THE blonde master in Miami! Once I discovered him five years ago I’ve never gone anywhere else and now all my blonde girlfriends go to him too. I get compliments on my hair color almost every day — I have long hair and he does a very bright but natural sun kissed blonde. The salon is super cute and affordable too. THANK YOU!

Great staff, very fast very good. Eddie did my wife’s hair and she loved it.
Price was very reasonable. Parking is available and location is easy to find.

Ever wonder so many guys have crappy short hair cuts courtesy of strip center chains. It’s because even if you go to a salon — they can’t seem to get it right.
I have (had) fairly long hair for a guy. My stylist in San Fran could handle.
However, after my visit here I now feel like an 80’s reject with a Mullet.
Place is reasonably priced — but a reasonably priced Mullet is too expensive at any price.

I had an amazing experience at this salon, Eddie transformed my long, terribly gone wrong hair cut and bad highlights to a sea of white gold… ok sounds cheesy… but I was surprised.
1. I was scared to even go to a new person after the last new person in Los Angeles cut and colored my hair.
2. I was looking for a salon that could stand next to the Chris McMillan Salon in L.A.
3. I had 5 different ideas I wanted done, and none of my photos were exactly what I was wanting– but all mixed together they made sense to me. haha Eddie’s words «your a tough cookie». I had a vision… And so did he.
We talked it through, and he wouldn’t start on my hair until we both were on the same page.
My long hair was dragging me down, the ends were rusty and dead, and I wanted something sexy, cute, with a lot of movement and not the same old trim with highlights.
My before was bad… I had hair in the front cut to my chin and the rest of my hair was to my waist… did not makes sense and looked like two different cuts on one head. He blended the front «long bang like thing» into some nice layers to be a part of my long hair, he brought down my new growth and added beautiful blonde at the bottom like white sand on a beach. The cut is what made my hair, the movement and style is fun, fresh, and sexy just like I wanted. I loved my long hair, but sometimes a little sacrifice for the hair to be healthy later on is worth it. Go see Eddie and don’t be afraid of change. He will make sure you look your best…
Some of us have to learn to be something, he was gifted with a vision, and that is hair. I think that’s all I can say… it was a fun experience and he’s a talented artist of hair and focused and in the zone. Ps. He loves waking up to go to work which is always a plus when you are the one getting your hair did;)
