I went n Sunday night for old school night. I loved it! No cover charge. Great music. Good drinks. Place to sit/dance. I will be back next time I am in Miami.

I’m not there for drinks. I’m just there for the music and the DJ’s there for ol skool Sunday are awesome. You would have to be in your mid 20’s maybe on up to appreciate the music. It takes me way back to my jit days. Love DJ Flyguy. If you’re looking for a laid back vibe, sip on your drink chill and bob your head type thing then check them out!

We were officially pub crawling Miami… third stop of the night. I was pleasantly surprised despite its Ed hardy walls and drab décor, the DJ was great, very friendly crowd. Affordable drinks. It was the favorite of the night :) hope to visit again

Ive been here once b4 and the 1st time I was pissed bc it was Classic Sunday meaning no Gucci Mane! lol this second time I went again on Classic Sunday and it was better but if I were drunk I think I would have enjoyed it more. I did find out that they do hip hop Saturdays and I think that’ll be more my speed! All in all it was cool bc you can smoke in there and the drinks seemed reasonable.

Every club we went to in Miami played newer hip hop with a Pit Bull track every third song. Love Hate DJ Bar had a DJ playing old-school hip hop and we didn’t hear a single Pit Bull song the whole time we were there. There isn’t a whole lot of seating to be had, but with the music that’s playing there, you won’t want to sit down.

The bar is a bit on the small side, but I don’t care because there’s free grey goose on Satuday nights from 10-midnight. When you hear that you think to yourself, I bet it’s like Sandbar and their penny beers where the line is ridiculously long. Nope, here it seems like the crowd hasn’t caught on. There was no wait getting your drink. Besides that, it’s a pretty standard lounge with a DJ the bar and some high tables on the side.

We’ve been going to Love Hate since about 2008. Recently they redecorated and it sucks that they did. With such a small intimate space why would you get rid of the little chandeliers and the sexy black & red combination? The chandeliers especially brought it all together so nicely! :( Theres no more tat paintings on the walls, now its all weird industrial looking grey knobs and giant phrases like«thinking of a master plan»…eh We’re big fans of thursday and saturday nites although lately every saturday nite is kinda empty. We won’t give up on it just yet! I feel like the crowd has been diminishing since DJ Icue left. Theres always good hip hop tunes, just needs a bigger crowd. Maybe bring back our fave bartender who didn’t mess around and talk as much as that other chick.

A friend of mine was the DJ here last Thrusday, so after a Unilocal event we decided to pay a visit. Overall I liked the ambiance, nice bar, good staff, but the place is quite small .and unfortunately this night the turnout was not all that great. At most there were 15 people… somehow it felt kinda off and the music was mainly house, which is not my favorite. I guess its not fair to judge a place by one night… probably it gets better in the weekends… might need to check it out again.

a group of us were visiting Miami/SOBE and a local brought us out to Love Hate on a Sunday Night. It was basically Classic Hip Hop night, so it was much like a bar in Chicago called Empire. The bar was lit up red with a beautiful black pattern across it. The DJ was pretty good, he was actually from Chicago, too! A friend in our group decided to take advantage of the fact that we could smoke inside, so he brought along a cigar. As i took a drag, a security guard pulled me over to inform me that cigars were not allowed due to the low ceiling… but it was ok to smoke weed. um, oooook?! thanks for the information. it was a nice spot to start the night…

This place is SO.MUCH.FUN! Come here on a Sunday night to dance all the old school hip hop jams. We came a little early and the manager told us to come back in 30 minutes and the place would be open and ready. He told us that Sunday nights are the best nights and that we would have a great time. The crowd was a little bit of all ages but everyone there seemed to be really enjoying the music. I love going to places where everyone including the DJ is having a good time and feeling the vibe and the scene. Every couple of minutes I was jumping up because a song came on that I LOVED. I didn’t drink so I can’t comment on the prices but they didn’t seem very big. The only downside is that people smoke in clubs in Miami and so my clothes and hair smelled terrible when we left the lounge. People party HARD in Miami so clubs stay open until 5, get ready for a long night of partying.

Cool little spot on the southend of South Beach. Came here during WMC2011. DJ Sneak and Doc Martin threw down some really cool, funky beats in this small/dim bar. Prepare to sweat and rub shoulders with people who are also getting their groove on out on the dancefloor. If you ever watched Miami Ink, I think this is the bar that the boys invested in. Not sure if they still own it.

So. Sometimes you have days where you despise Miami(yes, really). Or where you just wish you could teleport yourself to NY for a Saturday night. Enter Love Hate. Here is the deal as I see it: Rule number 1: Sunday Night. I have never gone on any other night. Rule number 2: must be accompanied by lover of music, specifically hip hop. The DJ will rock you sooo proper. Another Unilocaler said that every song that comes on makes you say: ooohhhh shiii****. that is so accurate. This place on a Sunday night, is an oasis to me. Yes, I live in Miami, perhaps one the most awesome places in the nation. But when I need a break, and can’t get to NY, I can get to LoveHate. disclaimer: can’t give 5 stars since I only know Sunday there.

I used to really like this place for it’s awesome music(old school hip hop, rock and R&B mixed with new stuff) and stiff drinks. In fact, the drinks are so strong that I can never finish mine without feeling nauseous or s**tfaced. The last few times I’ve been back I must say the place has gone down hill: — The bar tenders used to be hot, friendly and fast. Now they ignore you while they’re dancing around. — The crowd used to be unstuffy, trendy and pretty cool. Now it’s a mix between Jersey Shore and Hialeah, with the average height being 5′ 5″. Maybe Saturday is not a good day to go. — My friend left her purse on the bar and someone stole it while she was standing right next to it. All it took was a few seconds of not paying attention. Security was of no help. — Last Saturday, a fight broke out and there was no security to break it up. We knew it was time to go. — They no longer check IDs at the door. Either that or I look really old. — The bathrooms are disgusting and barely functional yet the attendant expects you to tip her and has a bad attitude. I think this may have been the last time they got a visit from me. If you still like the hole in the wall feel, knock yourself out but watch your drinks and your belongings!

I had more bounce than a hot dog down a hallway after rolling here last Sunday night. The DJ was on point(gotta find out who he was) and the place was popping like a button off a fat chicks jacket. *Be mindful of the the time and crowds; when we showed up(1130pm) we were able to walk right in. An hour later a friend of mine was trapped in line about 20 people back. That’s what he get for laggin…(DUMBASS) –Atmosphere: Very good, excellent DJ, good lighting and a pretty good crowd; the bar commands the area(which i like) –Service: Very good, absolutely no problems getting a drink which is great considering it’s loud and busy in there. Prices were decent, got a good deal –Location: Good location, down on 4th and Washington, busy but not crazy busy like 9th and Ocean Overall lots of fun, I’ll be back soon and it its still up to par may upgrade to 4 stars.

You know, there’s no hate in this little heart of mine for LoveHate on South Beach. It’s filled with a nice, mixed crowd, the music is phenomenal(the DJ plays several genres, but the hip hop selection makes you want to dance with a drink in one hand and your iPhone in the other so you can Shazam all the tracks to download in the morning), and the place just has this ‘lowkey, have a good time’ vibe. It’s so great and so not SoBe, so if you want to go out but not deal with the pretentious crushed velvet rope, this is it!

Love it or hate it? Love: Music, small, some friendly locals, cute staff Hate: Some haters, too dark, too Ed Hardy-ish, not a good place to just CHILL Overall, we had a good time, but the place can use better lighting and décor. Late.

This is the kind of place that is easy to Love/Hate depending on the night. The walls are tattooed with different images all around, but what else could you expect from a bar owned from the gentlemen of Miami Ink. When I stopped by it was quiet, there was no line, and it was far from packed. The music was good, the bartenders were good and quick, and the crowd was laid back. The color palette in this place is warm and inviting and that come on in and stay, relax vibe permeates the entire place.

Love Hate ain’t so bad. I’ll check it out because it’s easy to get into and there’s rarely any hassle at the door. It’s small and intimate. I suppose Saturday night’s might be a mess, but I’ve only checked it out on Thursday and Friday and there wasn’t any problem. I believe Sunday is when they bring out some rare grooves. If you’re South of 5th St. in South Beach, have a look. If it sux, just walk over to Abraxas.
