Had an appointment at 4 was seen at 5.20, the place looks like a mess, small as a tiny bedroom and slammed with hairdressers and a few annoyed clients who have to jump from chair to chair as there isn’t enough room in there or wait in the hotel area. The color is never right maybe cause there is never anyone available to wash my hair on time (only 3 sinks…) and the girl who washes is so rough nearly broke my hair off. Then I have to wait again for someone to have a chair available to blow dry… Why take clients if you have no room? Why such an unprofessional ambiance? And the horrible loud music? My hairdresser cannot even hear what I wanted out of my hair … Will not return, overrated and unprofessional

Their best colorist Ariel Hauck flew into town as she does every few months and I had an amazing experience with her as always! She is a perfectionist and will not let you leave until she gives you exactly what you want! She is based at the IGK in New York City, but it is definitely worth waiting for her to fly to IGK Miami.

I LOVE IGK! Frankie cut my hair a few weeks ago and I felt beautiful when I left the salon. Once I got home and styled my hair myself, I felt like it needed more layers in the back. There wasn’t anything wrong with the cut, I just felt like it wasn’t what i’d envisioned. I called the salon and was given an appointment almost immediately. I went in and Frankie perfected my hair cut. He did just what I wanted and I couldn’t have been happier. If you’re looking for a great cut, look no further than IGK!

Got my hair cut with Wendy– she was excellent, paid attention to details and took her time in understanding what I wanted vs her own vision. Got my hair colored by Eva. I’ll definitely be returning for another haircut, will likely go elsewhere for hair color, not at all what I asked for and way over priced.

Hands down the best salon in South Florida! I love the atmosphere and vibe; crazy talented staff that understands how to care for natural hair. I refuse to trust my afro to anyone else but Lhonette! My hair loves this shop and so do I!

Don’t rely too heavily on their appointments being anything definite. I had made an appointment because I was working on a tight schedule. Last minute, and I really mean last minute, 30 minutes before my appointment a rude disinterested woman called me and said that they are unable to keep my appointment. Offered no same day availability and left me hopelessly stranded and didn’t care one bit. I called back and they put forth zero effort in the rebooking process.

I ended up here by chance but I am so glad I did. I am relatively new to Miami, so I hadn’t gotten my hair cut in a year from fear of trying someone new. I bought a Gilt voucher and said fuck it! why not?! IGK in general has an awesome reputation. This place did not disappoint. I decided to cut off 9″. Julia cut my hair and seriously killed it. I will def be back, the full price is totally worth it. Thank you Julia!

Frank and Leo, brothers and French hairstalists preceded by their high reputations here in Miami have certainly executed the highmaintence demands of South Beach. With every guest leaving prepared for showtime. The highlight of my experience goes to Julia whom always delivers a haircut uparalled by any other stylist of her caliber. I highly recommend IGK located in the posh SLS hotel and sitting down with Julia if you want the best haircut and salon experience money can buy.

came here a few months ago, first visit here. I got balayage and a cut with Franck. I am in love with my hair!!!
it was definitely a half day long process. I came at 1 and left around 5. the salon is a little small, lots of clients coming and going. it was actually fun to see what other people were getting done.
Franck was super professional and made my hair look fabulous. I have found my salon!!!

I’ve never been happier with a hair cut and blow dry –ever! Being a miami local I know there are lots of good salons and hairstylists in miami, but none have left me more satisfied than IGK, more specifically –Leo! He’s great! It had been well over 8 months since my last hair cut and he knew exactly what I wanted and what would look best on my hair.
The place is small, but located in one of miami’s «it» hotels. Lots of celebrity sightings –there’s always plenty to see and do here! Perfect place to lounge by the pool, hit the salon, and be ready for dinner, drinks, and dancing! I recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent service and a trendy style. I will definitely be going back!

Leo’s haircuts are THE BEST! Having been a California native for a very long time with excellent hair stylists and a very extensive relationship with both my stylist and my colorist, it took me a long time to severe that tie and trust my lovely locks in the hands of another.
Leo cut my hair beautifully.
He was able to take out a lot of the bulk without making it too choppy or adding too many layers.
He’s also very sweet and the salon has a cool, hip vibe to it.
Pretty much every local in south beach goes there, which speaks volumes as most locals go odd of the beach to get services done.
Very highly recommend any of the stylists and colorists as I’ve only seen beautiful work come out of there. Their Instagram account is also great.

is a big 5 star! I always do my hair there in miami .They are the best. For hair cut, blow dry and hair extension. All the staff are super cool and super good.

Great haircut by Gwen, walked off the street, luckily she was free. Chic atmosphere and friendly people.

I visited the salon a while ago to serve as model so that Frank, their head stylist, could teach the employees some new haircut techniques. Even thou I got there scared wondering about what and how they were gonna do my hair, I left feeling like the luckiest girl in the world! I am still to this day so impressed on how just the way they do your haircut can change your whole experience. Frank makes sure to keep his staff updated and well trained, Louise who «prepped» me was great too and so so nice! I am very glad that I took the risk of letting them use my hair for the lesson and now definitely making Prive my main hair salon.
I’m rating it 4 stars only for the fact that it was a bit confusing to find inside the hotel and the salon is not that spacious (although they did played well with their space). I visited the one at the SLS apparently theres another one at the Shore Club. Either way don’t hesitate for a second to visit them, hands down your money will be well spent here.

I recently was in Miami (great weekend by the way) —
I was desperately needing a new color and cut and thought it would be fun to try somewhere new. I found Prive on Unilocal and decided to try them. I saw Stephanie for my color. She is professional, beautiful and friendly and really cares about the quality of her work. Needless to say I loved my color — right on the money.
She gave a great hair cut too… couldn’t be happier. Made my flight in time too. If you’re in Miami and need a color, go see Stephanie. no regrets. In Shore Club

I am very particular about who colors my hair — I am a brunette who prefers being blonde — so I do not give recommendations unless I am extremely satisfied with the service. Stephanie deserves 5 stars! I told her what I wanted (blonde highlights overall with lighter pieces in the front) and she exceeded my expectations. She pains close attention to detail and actually listened to what I want and asked questions to make sure that she understood. She was very nice and fun to talk to as well. The entire staff at Prive is very welcoming and accommodating. If you have been to other salons in Miami, you know that is not always the case. I will definitely be back to see Stephanie again soon and I recommend anyone who is looking for an excellent colorist to go see her as well.

Two of us wanted to get our hair done in Miami before going on a cruise. I tried to get an appointment at Todd Jameson Nue Studio, but the receptionist never called me back, so I chose to make our appointments elsewhere. I read the reviews of Prive on Unilocal and made the appointments.
Location — VERY SMALL. Located inside the Shore Club hotel. I tried to stay in the salon while my friend was getting their hair done, not possible. Sabrina was the stylist. She did a great job with the hair cut. She recommended some color for me and it turned out ok, nothing special.
What could be better
The customer service was sub par. Everyone else who came in after me was offered wine. I was dressed in jeans and t-​shirt, and not all trendy to get my hair cut. Donnu if that is why I was treated differently.
I rated this place 2 stars because
1) The price. Sabrina charged me $ 240 for a cut and two slaps of a brush for color. I could have gotten the same thing done for $ 70 in Atlanta, and $ 85 in Washington DC. I paid $ 240, and really there was NOTHING SPECIAL about what she did. I don’t care it’s on Miami Beach, I got the same service in Washington DC for ¹⁄₃ of the price.
2) The salon it’s too small to be comfortable. The stylists were falling over each other.
I would never go back here.

I really like Leo and Franck, they have both cut my hair once.
Cut was $ 70 including blow-​dry (and I have med/​long hair — below shoulder) so I think the price is good.
New location is in the Shore Club lobby, so make sure you ask which location your appt is at because they have different locations open on different days (I believe…)
Everyone is very nice and service was excellent. See you in a few months!
