I wouldn’t even give one star, by far the WORST doctor on the beach. I WAS patient of Dr. Horowitz. I have never really been that thrilled with the level of service I get when I come there but today takes the cake! On my last appointment which was February 10 I came in because I had a really bad persistent cough for the last two weeks and I wanted Dr. Horowitz to take a look at me. My appointment was at 11:00−15(can’t remember but I arrived at 10:50) but I wasn’t seen until 12:20. An hour and a half after I arrived. Mainly due to another patient showing up 30 minutes after their scheduled appointment but instead of her waiting, I had to wait. Anyways, after I go in to see the doctor, he told me I had bronchitis and gave me a prescription for an inhaler and amoxicillin I believe, not sure. The reason for this message.: I called in today because it has been 2 weeks since my visit and my cough has not gotten better. So I called your office and a person named OJ answered(which I found out later) and when I told her I was calling because I came in previously and wanted to try something else, she cut me short and said I had to make an appointment. I said«Well I was just there for this problem, can I just speak to Dr Horowitrz or his nurse» she put me on hold(Didn’t tell me to hold on, just put me on hold), when she came back she just simply said«You have to make an appointment». So I did, after I hung up I realized that I would have to take half of my day to come up there and sit and wait for 2 hours just to see him for two minutes just for him to give me another prescription. I mean really! I believe he can just give me something over the phone. Every doctor I have ever had has done this. Is this just another way for your office to turn a profit and make someone who barely has enough time in her day for things that need to get done just to come there for this? So, I called back. OJ was even less pleased this time, I started by saying«I just called and want to know if there is a way I can speak…» She cuts me off and says you have to come in, I can’t help you with anything else beside making an appointment” and I said«well, can I speak with someone…» and she put me on hold again(I know this because when on hold I can hear myself as an echo, there is no sound at all, no music, nothing) and never came back to phone! I called again and she answered. I asked«Did you hang up on me»? and She ACTUALLYSAIDTHEWORDS«No, I put you on hold so you can stop yelling at me». Seriously… I wasn’t yelling at all. I was just trying to get out what I was saying without her talking over me or putting me on hold but this certainly changed that. I was only asking a question and every time I got a word out, she would YELL over me. I felt like I was on one of those«test your patience» shows. She hung up on me after she said that and when i called back, she hung up on me again. The only reason I know her name is because I had another friend call and ask her for it while I was on the other line. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a Dr.‘s Office. Now I will have to go to Urgent care for something you should have taken care of weeks ago. And if nothing else, I juts need a strong cough suppressant. Why must I drive all the way there for that? I am so angry that if I had the mind and TIME I would have drove all the way up to Aventura and this 6 foot woman would have given OJ a piece of my mind where she can’t hang up the phone! She should be fired to say the least.
