Ferli Gelato Espresso Bar

The staff was very kind and they had great coffee. As a visitor to Miami Beach, this was definitely mine and my friends’ go-​to spot for coffee and gelato. They have many different flavors of gelato that can satisfy your cravings in the hot and humid Miami weather. The seating was never a problem as this seems like a very low key and quiet spot. I would definitely come back on my next trip to South Beach.

Great little place to get gelato and walk around SouthBeach. Bought some macaroons for my kids but I think they’re a little too expensive but hey it’s South Beach.

Service was awful. Food was ok. Not like I anticipated. It took FOREVER… Like forever. I had their chicken pesto sandwich and it’s nothing to write home about.
Definitely wouldn’t return. And would not recommend. They didn’t get one star because the food is ok. But again… Blah. I’m pretty unimpressed.

I had a cappuccino which was nicely made, no cool designs in the foam but solid coffee. The gelato display was unique and the ship was small but nicely laid out.

That was the worst ham and cheese croissant and coffee I’ve ever had I hope they get this better next time for the next customer that was my first and last time going there what a waste of money I’m really pissed

Great Italian ice cream. I went there with my son to take a couple of cones. Chocolate pistachio vanilla strawberry my favorite! Strongly recommended. Prices in line with south beach costs.

Can’t wait to visit Miami again just to come here for a affogato! I had the ferrero gelato which made it even better. Plus they have a lot of panini options that make you feel like you just were on a beach in Naples, Italy.

Ordered on grub hub and it came sooner than expected so there’s a thumbs up there! We had two omelets both very good. Fresh fruit (only thing that tasted fresh was the apples and the strawberries) bananas were slimy and nasty and i just didn’t care for the pineapples. Also got a latte that was very good but the cappuccino (w/​espresso and almond milk) was not. It tasted like chicken grease. Next time i am in Miami i will order again just not the cappuccino.

I ordered from them, waited over 90 minutes for order and called them back.
Some person that barely spoke English said order should have been there an hour ago. Said to call back, I called several times and no one picked up.
A waste of $ 42. Impossible to reach store.
The manager of the store called the next day and apologized. Then the owner not only called but sent a free ice cream and apologize. They made a mistake but the response was impressive, great customer service.

You gotta try this place out! great gelato and nice Lavazza cappuccino. The place its small and cozy, not so crowded which is a plus, its a hidden jam more for locals not so much for tourists!

Dropped in for breakfast one morning. Got a bagel and cream cheese and a croissant with nuttela. Both were good especially the croissant with nuttela really flaky and buttery. Also got a large caramel mocha which was good and well priced.

Was served by the owner who let me try literally all the flavors before I decided! Went for the coffee and Ferrero Rocher which was both delicious! The latter was very chocolate heavy though.

If you’re in SoBe, go to Ferli’s. It’s that simple. Try the pistachio or any other flavor. You can’t go wrong here. The only mistake is to not go

I stopped by this place at the end of my south beach food tour. Great variety of flavors, friendly staff and plenty of seating. I can’t for the life of me recall which flavor I got, but i do remember liking it.
I can’t really talk about the pricing since it was included on my tour. It is true what one other review said about only allowing one flavor. Perhaps if you get a bigger size, you’re allowed 2? Overall I think this is a pretty good spot, lovely way to end my food tour.

Amazing, you gotta try it. The staff is lovely and the food is just great. Had a really good time since the moment I decided to step into this Oasis.

In Miami for a few days and came here 2 days in a row for the amaretto gelato .yum! And friendly staff

After dinner one night I wanted something sweet but I don’t eat sugar. I did a quick Google search for sugar free yogurt and came across Ferli.
They had one sugar free flavor which was hazelnut and it was so delicious! It is definitely my new go-​to sugar free dessert spot when I’m in Miami.

Got a regular size gelato with mango & passionfruit with pineapple sorbet and it was really good! Had a lot of flavor and tasted really fresh. Great atmosphere, loved the vibes.

Came here for some gelato on a Monday afternoon. I really wanted to try their Ferrero Roche (separate from their Hazelnut) after all the rave reviews but they were sadly all out. I settled for literally the last scoop of Pistachio. Yep… she literally had to scrape the sides and the bottom of the pan to get me my full scoop of gelato. The Pistachio I had WAS really good (brought me back to Italy) but I must say I’m a little shocked that a gelato place would run out of such popular flavors. They should have a little more foresight and plan accordingly. Nobody wants to hear that they’re «making a new batch now» when a gelato craving hits!

Not the best gelato I have ever had. I stopped here because my fav gelato place, lecca lecca, is closed. Will not return. Not many choices either. Don’t waste your time on the gelato.

Yummy gelato and ice cream options, good quality but pretty predictable flavours.
I wouldn’t sit here, and would just pass by to grab something and leave.

We read the write ups on the amazing gelato and while good it wasn’t amazing (ie we have had better) but maybe this is the best in SoBe so then we are glad we found it and not wasted our time on lesser gelatos!
Our favourites: mandarin; hazelnut; passionfruit and mango.
We missed redeeming our discount — goes to show you show Unilocal check in as soon as you walk through the door!

And in conclusion…
Seriously, is there a shortage on gelato? I mean for the price they could at least put a little above the rim of the cup. Not the best gelato I’ve had, could at least not be skimp.

It is indeed a gelato world, with a variety of favors to choose from. Go for mint chocolate, the best flavor to enjoy in a shining Miami world!

E a t | M e: Ferrero Rocher gelato? Ferli has it. Lavazza coffee and Italian crumpets for munching and chatting over. Try the focaccia panini or the pumpkin gelato, too!
A m b i a n c e: Seating is simple, and the afternoons are hot, balmy but a lovely beach breeze pours in, up and down South Beach, and a cool beverage or gelato sliding down your throat is soothing and the ultimate anecdote.
M o r e | B i t s: Ferli Gelato & Espresso Bar only recently opened (2011), but is a special piece of Italia in Miami. Owned, developed and created by Andrea Ferlito (Ferli is short for the family name). He wanted to bring his native Sicilia to SoBe. Now there’s two locations, this one, and the one on 750 Washington, boutique number 11. The gelato is homemade and spins in an ice box, you’ll get dizzy trying to find the labels. The trash can is a huge plastic ice cream cone.

P r o — T i p: If you’re dairy free or lactose intolerant, sorbet is offered with fresh-​cut fruits. Flavors include: strawberry, raspberry, lemon, mango, passion fruit, watermelon.

*raspberry sorbet (omg! Yes! Not too sweet and a nice berry flavor to it. Super smooth and creamy for a sorbet. I loved this flavor!!)
*lemon sorbet (amazing! Lemon was bright and citrusy. Some lemon sorbets can be ammonia-​like, and thankfully this is NOT. it’s so delicious and freshing on a hot day)
*red orange (color is gorgeous and has a light orangey flavor, not as strong as a regular orange but still quite good)
*chocolate gelato (delicious, rich and smooth; not too sweet but still has a great chocolate flavor)
This place is fabulous!!! Loved the sorbet and gelato flavors. The texture are amazing and I feel like I can bathe in tubs of their stuff. I highly recommend this place to anybody who has a sweet tooth and an appreciation for quality foods.
