It’s super cute in here but the food wasn’t good. My soup was terrible actually and I spent $ 6 for about 5 bites until I couldn’t take it anymore and left. Ambiance is nice but this just wasn’t good food for my first time

The espressos weren’t cheap($ 2.5 each) and the service was extremely slow(they were brought to our table about 10 – 15 minutes after we ordered them) but you pay for the ambience here. The espressos came in cute Bodium espresso cups, you are surrounded by gorgeous metallic bookshelves with a very-well curated selection of interesting stuff to read.(Think Kerouac, Fanny Hill, William Carlos Williams, funky design books, and a lot of holocaust literature.) I gather there’s free wi-fi too. If I’d known about this place when I used to work from home in Miami Beach I would have worked here at least one day a week, probably two. Now that I’ve mostly moved away, I guess I have nothing to lose by spilling the beans.

what an adorable little café! we just popped in for some coffee and a cookie after visiting the museum… but the lunch menu looked delicious as well. the space is kind of dark and intimate; about 15 tables surrounded by deco shelves full of fun arty books and gift store knick knacks. definitely seems like a great place to come and get some work or studying done as it is fairly quiet in there. and a propos of nothing… our barista was insanely gorgeous.

After going through the Wolfsonian, I stopped into this shop/café for a bit of a rest. They have a seemingly extensive collection of art books for sale. And the usual assortment of arty housewares and high-end stuffed animals for the kids. Pricing for food wasn’t too bad. They had a daily special plus a drink for $ 10 but I didn’t like what they were offering that day so I chose the curried chicken salad($ 10) and an iced tea. The glass of iced tea was the smallest glass I’ve ever seen. But it was good iced tea. Good thing they did refill it. Although, I could have used another two iced tea refills to make the $ 2.50 worth it. As for the salad, it was quite beautiful and well-arranged. The lettuce was placed on top of the curried chicken and made an interesting presentation. It was all right. The cous cous was terrible though and I couldn’t eat more than a few bites of it. You order at the counter but don’t pay until after you’re done. And they bring the food to you. They added an automatic gratiuty. I waited in vain for them to bring a check but finally had to go up to sign off on it. For the most part, people in this café seemed to be working or studying. One lady had her laptop plugged in but it must have been sucking out a lot energy because the light over her kept flickering. I wouldn’t mind stopping in again to check out the other salads and for that delicious iced tea.

My favorite hideout/café in all of Miami and I’m giving it all away here. It is located smack in the middle of SoBe, inside the Wolfsonian Museum. The food is AWESOME since it’s catered by Lyon & Lyon. There is free wi-fi. And the ac is set on ‘bring a sweater’ It’s dark and cozy during the day as they mostly let natural light come in and they play all sorts of music but I was lucky enough to be sitting in there pre-Trivia recently and it was old, French jazz(je t’aime). And this place is quiet as in tomb quiet as in perfection quiet. Last night at Trivia, we were able to get two great little plates one was salmon bites over potatoes and the other was chick peas, red peppers, feta?, and warm pita bread, a bottle of wine, and the free Grolsch. Dyno-mite!
