Admittedly, we went in mid-afternoon during the holidays, so hopefully it all goes smoother during typical bar hours. We sat at the nearly-empty lobby bar for 10 minutes or so before anyone came over. The bartender who finally arrived(and apologized for the wait) seemed a lot more like a manager covering a missing bartender than an actual bartender, as she seemed a little lost behind the bar. It took another solid 10 – 15 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered because of slowdowns in finding lemons and chipping ice. She had also had to confirm what a vodka press was before she made it and even though the drink I got was very good, it wasn’t a press. All that said, she was very friendly and the drinks were decent quality. They were, however, at the high end of South Beach bar pricing($ 15-ish each for a large rocks-sized drink). We had our one and headed off to see what else we could find in the neighborhood.

Since we’re staying at the Hyatt centric hotel, we came here for breakfast. Opted for the American breakfast which comes with coffee, juice, pastries, eggs, bacon or sausage, and potatoes. The pastries tasted stale and the potatoes — although cooked well with kale — were very few in number, only 3 small pieces! The chicken sausage was sweet. For a $ 28 meal I thought it would’ve been better.

Had breakfast while a guest at the hotel and the service was questionable, however it did get better towards the end. Food was decent and a little pricey. Thought about going back, but just wasn’t motivated.

Outstanding Food and drinks. Went in for dinner with a friend and we had an amazing meal! Its small plates menu is great and we were able to try lots of items. we started with Local Tomato salad with Stracciatella and a Meat and Cheese board with crispy crystal bread from a local bakery called Flavios. Both items were soooo good. Heirloom tomatoes and soft Stracciatella Cheese and wafer like bread crisp. the meat and cheese was very tasty with Serrano Ham and cheese with a Fig spread. We then moved on to the Octopus with Giant Beans and the Chorizo with little potatoes and a delicious Amarillo Aoli. I have never had Octopus this good before! it was cooked perfectly and the Giant Beans were a great contrast in texture. We finished with the Hanger Steak and the Chicken Thigh. the Hanger was grilled and coated with a spicy mustard sauce. It was excellent and cooked as ordered. My favorite was the all natural chicken thigh that just fell apart cause it was so tender. It had a preserved lemon garlic sauce on it that finished off each bite with a a nice zesty taste. The chef has done a great job with this menu. it is perfect for light meals and adventurous diners. Looking forward to my next time here!
