Columbia is hands down the best management company on the beach. When I moved to Sobe, I heard horror story after horror story of management companies from hell. This is not the case with Columbia. This company manages a series of Art Deco buildings in the South Beach area. I saw a few places in a few buildings. All buildings were clean, in good condition, and very reasonably priced. Since moving in I have had no pest issues– a real rarity on South Beach. Oscar and Angela are so responsive and maintain a relationship with each of their tenants. I feel really lucky to have found this company in my move to Miami!

If your looking for an apartment on the beach, I highly recommend this place. Before I moved to Miami I was in search of a clean, safe and affordable apartment. I was dealing with Realtors showing me horrible places for the price I can afford. So I started searching on my own by walking up and down the streets picking which building looked livable! Stumbled upon their sign randomly placed in front of a beautiful apartment building and gave them a phone call. Marsha was able to show me a couple apartments in one day and I found my apartment! Oscar the manager was sincere and always efficient. Overall the place is super clean. A company comes once a month and sprays for bugs. I’ve been there for a year and half, never saw one bug, thank god! I once had a problem with my A/C and they had someone come fix it within a hour. The maintenance man Eugene is trust worthy and professional. The apartment itself is wooden floors, updated white kitchen, large closets, white bathroom and the location is out of this world! The studio is spacious and can actually be considered a one bedroom because of the lay out. There’s plenty of windows and natural sun light. Ceilings are high and the walls are thick, you don’t hear the neighbors! I couldn’t be happier with this company and their team members.

I’ve been in my 1BR for 1.5 years now and can now say that overall, I’m happy with the management. Their inventory of rentals is huge so obviously amenities vary by property and price range. For my Art Deco building on South Beach I feel like the value is competitive for its location. Rent however, certainly doesn’t follow the recession of economy as I’ve already seen a 10% increase. Hopefully that’s the last or I’m out of here to find a larger space nearby. Windows aren’t hurricane proof. Noise isn’t too much of an issue but I’d say otherwise if I weren’t on the top floor not facing street. The building common areas are swept/mopped every Monday like clockwork, occasional graffiti has been promptly removed, and building manager is pretty responsive. He’s on property often which is always nice to see. Living as a single female I do feel safe in the building and neighborhood. As far as professionalism goes, I’ve been very happy. Once recent event really showed their true colors: a friend was staying here while I was out of town and the shower handle managed to break. Water was spraying everywhere. I called the receptionist who relayed to landlord who sent maintenance immediately. Plumber was on scene in 20 minutes– now that’s efficiency. Oscar the landlord is friendly and usually responds to emails within 48 hours. He addresses complaints or maintenance issues is a timely manner considering how many properties they manage.
