If you plan on having a night out of fun while being a black male and Cameo comes to mind, it might be wise to have a plan b. Entrée isn’t easy if your group exceeds one. Yes, you read that right. More than one is beyond the limit at Cameo for males of African descent. Break up that huge group to a single entity to better your chances of entrée. Being a celebrity helps because famous blacks are less likely to cause a scene and disrupt everyone’s night out. You know us normal blacks like showing our asses in public settings… right? That behavior scares white folk, so we should understand the owners plight of him being a bit of a bigot. There’s a certain trust the managers and owners have with darkies who have money. So if possible become an overnight star if it’s partying at Cameo you crave. Aww fuck it, that’s too much of a hassle. Stay at home.

Don’t believe the hype! I went here solely because I was on vacation AND more importantly, we met a promoter who would get us in for free. Best thing: Walking distance from our hotel so we walked to and from. Also, the promoter was able to get us free drinks all night. The line is BANANAS! Chaos, no structure and sadly, they hand pick who enters and who doesn’t. So, if you are going as a group, be prepared to possibly be split up if one of your friends are not cute or stylish lol I am not a fan of hired dancers taking up club space. I’m sorry, I am not a décor snob so the dancers in little bikinis and boots was a waste. I’ve been told by Miami natives that I am about 5 – 10 years late because the Miami club/dance scene is officially DEAD. The music was popping, eye candy was present but No one danced. WHY come to a club if you are going to be a wall flower? If you enjoy people watching, this is the place for you. I had a better time with my gays at SCORE! The ONLY reason I will return is if I get in free and I am dragged there by a friend who is experiencing Miami for the first time.

This nightclub is the worst! They hold the line for over 1 hour and the place is empty… Lame as F***

First of all, we paid extra to avoid a line which we ended up waiting in for at least thirty minutes while«general admission» was let in. We were also promised free drinks(advertised on the marquee). However, upon entering and attempting to order the bartender told us we owed $ 38 for two drinks– a vodka soda and gin and tonic. Finally, we reserved a table which we never got and not one employee stopped to offer help. Everyone stood around awkwardly and the bartenders had no pants. Big disappointment. We had more fun at the dive bar across the street with no cover

UGH… worst place ever. This was my second time going to cameo and both times I did not enjoy myself. While waiting in line you would think by how the door people act that this club is the place to be. For a south beach club you could of sworn you entered a back alley club from the atmosphere. The dj was playing the same songs in a 30 min rotation like your listening to the radio and the VIP and its patrons was a complete joke not worth it at all plus the drinks where horribly made… I gave this place one star on the count I got in for free.

I had a great time here. First let me start by saying I probably wouldn’t of if I had to pay for anything. All day when you walk around there are promotors trying to sell you club packages. if you are a lady… DONTDOIT. This guy tried selling us a package for $ 85, That night all we did was dress up, walk outside, and immediately a guy at the club ran to us across the street and offered us free entrance no waiting, VIP area, and Free drink… all for the price of $ 0.00. If you dress the part I feel like you can get in… this was a Saturday night and there was a line, but we got in right away and got to sit in VIP. Gotta mention I LOVELOVELOVE the music here. Any place playing Ratchet music is good in my book… lol. They had at least 4 different DJs and I loved them all. Great club experience that night.

A promoter pulled us in from a couple blocks up Washington Ave and the experience was polar opposite. We got in free with wristbands, complimentary champagne, and pulled into a VIP front and center stage. The dancers were even better up close. The DJ was on point! the energy was so live and vibrant. Then Ace Hood performed a couple songs toward the end. Maybe tonight was a good night but my mind is changed about Cameo, I love this spot now. It’s true they do have heavyweight champion belts for the sections ordering the most bottles. Come here prepared to spend and pop bottles on a feature artist night, it’s the best way to get the real experience here.

Typical club life. Hip hop feel and I’m gonna make it simple. Don’t come broke!!! There is some serious bottle buying competition to literally get the heavyweight championship belt for buying bottles… It comes with a 20 girl parade lights and rocky balboa music in the middle of the party .(true story) I thought there was a dress code but I say a lotta jeans and sneakers(tsk tsk cameo) the VIP is the dance floor which is shaped like a boxing ring. If you don’t have $$ for VIP you don’t have $ 13 bucks for Heineken … If you don’t have $ 9 for bottled water either then this isn’t the place for you either. I won’t even tell you what was spent just to get the VIP band and a few bottles of goose… But I was on vacation so eff it… There’s some pole dancing pros in here so bring a few one’s to make it rain a bit… And there’s pop rocks and all that other stuff there too if that’s your scene.

I would love to say more than these few statements… A PUREJOKE! They make the line long without anyone inside they try to sell you on a 100 tab at the bar but the drinks are the worst I’ve ever had and I don’t think a 10 year old would feel anything off 2 or 3 drinks, the pour will only wet your tongue. Pick another spot

Ehhh. I’ve experienced better. At one point, I questioned if it was a 21 and older club as some of the patrons seemed to be a lot younger(or at least acted like it). I’m glad I got in for free though because I would of been pissed if I had paid $ 40 like some of the other people. Honestly, the best thing was the strippers. Everything else was a star below average. Oh and there aren’t any seats in the club(besides in VIP) so leave your painful heels at home.

Came here for a South Beach nightlife after a Miami party cruise while on an East Coast Contiki. Fortuitously it was also my roommate’s 21st, which was quite perfect to celebrate her newfound American legal-ness. Unfortunately they had hugely overpriced drinks, though I hear that is how it is in generally in the South Beach area– so wasn’t unusual and actually expected. Decent music and we had a fun night ripping it up on the dancefloor with our tour crew.

This place is a joke. I went to Miami for my bachelorette weekend. I had signed up for the text message for free admission and was told to be there at 11 pm to get in. When me and my party of 8 arrived the bouncer said it did not open until 11:30 pm. So its 90 degrees outside and we are waiting 11:30 comes and goes and we are still waiting. By this time there are 3 lines guest list aka general admission, VIP and promoter line. After waiting for more than hour we left. I live in Chicago and have been to too many clubs where this has never happened. Don’t even attempt to go to this place.

I had a lot if fun visiting this club. Although it is very crowded(like most clubs in Miami) the music and the strippers made it a lot of fun. They have strippers on poles, acrobatic strippers on curtains, double at strippers on poles … A jumbletron … The list goes on. The only thing that really bothered me was that you had a 50 $ minimum to use your card(Wtf?) a total rip off.

If I could I would give it only ½ star. It sucks. The Dr was great however the atmosphere was horrible. I felt as though I was cattle. No place to sit. Drinks terribly overpriced and only plastic cups. I paid $ 56 for a shot of ciroc, Heineken, and rum and pineapple(yes no Malibu). Go to mango. Cheaper entrance fee real drinks better price. Even with the Groupon deal it was a waste

It’s very difficult to get in this place. If you don’t have VIP access or if you are not on the guest list don’t bother. You will spend hrs waiting in line. But once inside it’s a blast.

My friends were adamant we try a so called big Miami club during my latest visit. I was apprehensive but didn’t want to fight the crowd, oh how I wish I had as this place was a huge waste of my time and money. I don’t know if Cameo was ever hot but if it ever has been the heat was dialed down during my visit. This is South Beach so of course drinks are outrageously priced, I mean come on man 20 bucks for a cranberry and vodka, for that I’m going need Beyonce or somebody to have crushed the cranberries herself, distilled the vodka and shake and pour the drink into my mouth. Also what is going on with this crowd, where are all the beautiful people Miami is supposed to have, all I saw were mud-ducks, chunky monkeys and other assorted goblins and gremlins. Music was okay, nothing special, typical hip hop that you hear in every club which would be fine if people were actually willing to dance. None of ya’ll are cute, so why are you standing around posing, if you’re in the club the least you can do is back that thing up. All in all, not worth the time or money or having to deal with a janky Miami promoter to get into. Total letdown.

This club does one thing well. Create a line so you think it is going to be packed. Saw the line so I decided to buy a bottle to skip the line. Bottle cost $ 700 dollars and they stuck us upstairs by ourselves. We stayed thinking that it would fill in but it never did. When I asked the manager to move us to one of the several empty tables downstairs he said we need to buy 3 additional bottles(note there was only 2 of us). He totally acted as though he was doing us a favor and was full of himself. News flash. Your club is dying. Reviews are bad and the club appears to be empty consistently. Maybe a change in management is due.

Not impressed at all the wait was long the crowd was ratchet. The music was better than the other clubs we went to, more of a hip-hop selection. Definitely more of a casual dress here everyone got in dressed however.

We did one of those pay $ 30.00, have an unlimited 2 hour open bar at a hotel, than be taking to a limo and be VIP at CAMEO. DON’T FALLFORTHISGIMMICK. The drinks weren’t strong they tasted like juice, and the LIMO did not have AC. First of all, when you come to Miami, Don’t go to CAMEO. The staff is rude and were even saying that some of the girls wouldn’t be allowed in for the way they look. WHODOYOUTHINKYOUAREBRO? YOU’RE A DOOR-MAN. It was pretty ridiculous. The music is okay but its not fun. I’d stay on OCEAN Drive if you’re in Miami Beach. They’re nicer there.

Commandments for going out to Cameo & Vice — Do pay one of those party bus promoters for the less expensive cover charges and pre-game drinking opportunities — Do wear heels if you are a woman since they have a «no-flats policy»(even though only 1 out of our group of 11 had on flats and they still turned her away) — Do come prepared to catch some level of contact from other smokers in the club — Be sure to keep any hatred for strippers/dancers at the door– this place is filled with poles and women that were hired to work them — If you want to vomit in your mouth at the thought of paying $ 19 for a vodka cranberry, be sure to skip your meal before coming. — Come prepared to laugh that 70% of the club is considered VIP and requires minimum $ 400 bottle purchases to enter at a calculated rate based on the size of your group(my group of 11 required 3) — If you enjoy anything other than hip-hop, you should not come to this place on a Saturday night.
