What a great place to stumble into when you are hung over from a night of partying at SoBe and looking to get some good starch and protein into your system to recover from the firey shots from the night before! Cala has a great spot on the Ocean Drive. The waiters are quick, friendly and understanding of what you may have had to go through the night before(waiting at a bar for drinks) and they get you your food chop chop. The food is also pretty good, I had the salmon bagel and my wife the huevos rancheros. Pretty standard fare here so I am not going to go raving about it but the location is fun, you can watch people on the side walk and also soak up a little sun while you have your sunny side up.

I can see why people are pissed by the $ 30 giant drinks, but being burned before at similar restaurants, we asked the price and then chose the $ 11 glasses of wine instead. :) We sat outside under the heaters and enjoyed people watching on a Friday night. If you sit down before 7:00, most of the food on the menu is half price! We sat down at 6;57 and they honored the half price. We are a pretty picky group, but all 3 of us enjoyed our food. Homemade guacamole for appetizer was great, and the Cuban sautéed shrimp and rice, mahi mahi, and Asian ahi tuna entrees were all delicious. I’m skeptical of menus with pictures but this was surprisingly good.

Stay away!!! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We came here for lunch on our vacation. They were soliciting people off the street with a 20% discount off the menu prices. Having spent a lot of money at some of south beach’s most expensive restaurants during our trip, we were welcoming to a cheaper lunch — and the location worked as it was just a block from the beach. In the back of my mind, I knew it would be a mistake to go to a place like this that needs to solicit business with discounts — and boy should I have listened. We ordered 3 burgers and a quesadilla. None of these take more than 10 minutes to make. Yet, 45 minutes later, there was no food on the table. There was also not even any water as our waiter never even came over to fill up our water glasses. We asked 3 times for a waiter and our bus boys pretended to not understand. I had to physically get up and walk around the place to find our waiter. Finally we got some water. And after an hour, our food came — or at least some of it. They forgot 1 burger and the quesadilla. We waited a while longer and it still never came. So half of us ate and half didn’t. We couldn’t wait any longer so canceled the food that still hadn’t came and got up and left. Oh, and the food that did come was awful. Clearly frozen burger patties, totally overcooked, terrible. Hands down the worst dining experience I ever had and I would advise everybody to stay far away!!!

I was served by Mr. Luke I order a Churrasco witch he said it was 14oz the plate came to me as a 8oz Stake. He was our server but it was more like a order taker just came to take our order and to bring the check that was it. I will not be coming back to this restaurant and I would not recommend it to anyone.

It is seriously ridiculous expensive. We order a mix grill that cost 150 dollars! It was not even good, lobster was dry, steak and chicken were dry and just awful! Bad and ridiculously expensive! Please, take this advice and don’t waist your money here.

This is a tourist trap and scam! We went invited by the waitress that promised 2 drinks for the price of 1. The price for mojito is not indicated in the menu but the price for margaritas was like 8 $ so how much more mojito could be, we thought? We were brought two huge glasses of very sugary water with absolutely no alcohol in it. When I asked about the price I was told 25 dollars each. When the waiter was asked how about the«2 for 1», he said that the NEXT drink would be free but for both of those we have to pay!!! I called for manager and she agreed to make it 25 bucks for two drinks. Which is still way too much for a sweet water. Stay away, seriously!

My wife and I stopped while pass I g through the outdoor dining area. Anyone who knows the area knows you get stopped by many of the the businesses staff soliciting your patronage. We decided to done here as we were offered half off lunch and 2 for 1 drinks. The prices were actually reasonable. I ordered a salmon wrap and my wife a tilapia fish. Also ordered a mango mohito actually 2. All were excellent and and we ended up with lunch under $ 32. Including the 19% gratuity they add on. Not bad!

Just had breakfast here. Terrible service. Extremely slow service from the waitress. She was only interested in trying to get us to buy drinks. Yea, it’s south beach, but we just didn’t want any yet at 10am. We will never return to this place.

There is so many cafes and restaurants on the strip all serving the same things, nothing really stands out! We stopped here for lunch and I saw the Diablo Kobe beef burger and decided to give it a try, It wasn’t the greatest, but so far the best thing on the strip! I will say that their 2 for 1 drink specials are greeeeeaaaaaat! You definitely get what you pay for! The margarita glasses are huge and filled to the rim, the drinks aren’t watered down, so have a designated driver!(Please drink responsibly)

ASKFORCHRISTIAN! I’ve been to this place before, and it’s just OK. But when a passing bridal party recommended Christian, I immediately requested seating in his section — even with a titled table. LOL. Drinks are huge, and the food is typical drunk food but Christian is the reason for this review. Christian gives the brides unlimited free shots. I’m talking, sex on the beach shots straight from a Grey Goose bottle. Out of no where, he comes up behinds you, grabs your face, leans your head back and asks if you spit or swallow ;) Yes, he’s flirty and flash-worthy(we did flash him) b/c he’s full of energy and will give you what you came for — A GOODFREAKINGTIME! Then, he sends you home with a NEW bucket full of the drink of your choice, enough to last the your entire vacation. I’ve never been as drunk as I’ve ever been like when I was with Christian, not even in college. And NOHANGOVER! The tab, wasn’t even as outrageous as it should’ve been for all those alcoholic goodies. Still don’t believe he’s awesome? I gave him a $ 45 tip, just for being him. LOVE.

Debated on two stars, as I really enjoyed my wings, as they weren’t your average hot wings. They were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It was also seasoned well and portion size was appropriate. However… Service was where it went all wrong. We walked down Ocean Drive to pick a place to eat. We were pitched by all the restaurants to come in for happy hour. We decided to stop by at Leslie’s because the woman was the best sales person we saw yet. We were promised a free drink each and free shots. We wish she communicated that to our waitress, because she didn’t say anything when taking our orders and we had to ask her, as it was awkward. Our drinks came out promptly. I got a traditional margarita and it was fine. Our food took about 45 minutes to come out. It especially didn’t make sense because my friends got a salad and a wrap. My wings were the only thing that took some deeper preparation. We finally asked our waitress on the status of our food, and she said she just checked and it would be right out. Except not. We waited another 15 – 20 for our food to actually come out. When it did, no apology or explanation at all. What’s worse was that the table behind us who was seated 20 minutes after us got their burgers well before we got our dishes, at an appropriate time. While I enjoyed my food, my friends thought their dishes was just fine. We wanted to get out of there, so we didn’t even ask about our free shots, even though we were supposed to get them. We also saw who looked liked the owner or manager walk around, but only to a few tables at the front of the restaurant. We passed him upon leaving, and no greeting whatsoever from him or anyone else. Can’t see this place lasting much longer, even though they just opened. Note: this review was originally posted under Leslie Hotel back in December but was made aware that they do not own or manage the café, so that review has been deleted.

Great time at Cala Café(Leslie) live music, happy hour and great food This is my third time here The staff is very friendly from the hostess to the servers a very outgoing crew. Prices are very reasonable, great pasta carbonara and wood oven pizza. I think is a great spot in Ocean Dr for an «alfresco dining experience» Like everywhere in Ocean Dr, they do have the«expensive» menu, but we smart and ask prices! Even though it’s a good place, it still touristy so be aware. So yes, I will be back again, had a blast here and the live music was awesome! Latin songs not like every place on the strip that the artists play only Spanish– Flamenco music.

Just like most food places on Ocean Drive… bland food. We went here for breakfast. they draw you in with the $ 8.95 and a free Mimosa. The mimosa was delicious, but the food isn’t seasoned and the eggs were a little runny. I’ve had better… much better.
