MY brother lives in Miami and this is one of his favorites so I have been here twice. It’s really good authentic Italian food the staff is so helpful and kind. The food is delicious. It’s been around for a long time. Lots of pictures on the wall with stars. A piece of history. If you are close you should try it.

I really enjoy going here. The Belini’s are exceptionally good, and my favorite is the lasagna Bolognese with a side salad. Next time I’ll get garlic bread. All employees get a royal green light from me. They were all extremely accomodating. Free parking is a plus, plus. I give them 5 stars because they deserve it!

Café Prima Pasta is an attractive restaurant that has pretty good food. They will give you two free bellini drinks with a Unilocal check-in. The staff was very friendly and helpful up to a point. I had the Chicken Piccata and it was delicious. It came with a side order of pasta with Marinara Sauce. It was very tasty. My main complaint was that the people at the next table had a baby and changed its’ diaper on the table twice leaving the diaper on the table for an extended period of time. Not an appetizing way to spend your meal. We complained to the manager who did nothing other than say that he would clean the table. I doubt I’ll return to Prima Pasta with their lack of concern for cleanliness. The food however was very good and everyone enjoyed it until the diaper incident.

As the other reviewers stated the staff is very friendly and attentive The food«how do you say« Isn’t that what the Latinos say when they don’t know what to say
This is supposed to be an Italian restaurant Let’s leave it that I bet the entire kitchen is run by Latinos

I’ve been twice with my husband at Café Prima Pasta and really it was a wonderful experience, the food is great, the restaurant is nicely decorated the lights are low perfect setting for couples, but what is really wonderful in this place is the service of the waiters and waitresses(Cristian, Maha, Oscar, Andrew and Giulio). We were really well attended and we left completely satisfied with the friendliness of the people working there!

Great food and service. Highly recommend getting there no later than 5 for the early bird half price menu! Past 5:30, they will likely hold you until 6(full price menu). Great for kids! Regular menu is great too — try the lamb pasta or chicken parm. Fried zucchini to share!

Great atmosphere. Drinks at the bar are great! Awesome Strawberry mojitos ***** One of the specials was Veal chop I asked for a side of spaghetti just perfect it was exactly what I wanted to eat, chocolate mousse for dessert and a complementary home made Lemocello that is one of the best I have tasted including Sorrento Villa Masa… very smooth and tasty.

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere! I highly recommend! The Veal Osso Bucco is absolutely amazing, the risotto is cooked to perfection. The lobster ravioli is so good, I love the homemade pasta. I’d recommend the carpaccio de Manzo for an appetizer, it’s the best I have had! Try the limoncello after dinner it’s very refreshing and great with dessert. We got the profiteroles and they are great! The service is the best! It’s the best service I have received in Miami. This place is a must stop each time we are in town, so I would say put this at the top of your list as places to go! Amazing!

I am obsessed with this restaurant. Dim, romantic lighting, perfect environment for a date. Now, the Italian cuisine served is extraordinary. Never a complaint the times I’ve made the trip down to the beach :) my favorite dish is the Penne Ciao, highly recommend it if you are a fan of olives.

Last week I visited Florida for the first time ever and was staying on Miami Beach for the week. Upon arriving around 8pm I was craving Italian and found Café Prima Pasta on Unilocal.I checked it out and fell in love! Turned out to be my favorite restaurant out of all that I tried that week. It was so good I even went back 2 days later. This is a really great date night spot as the ambiance is reached by romantic red lighting in the restaurant and a very low noise level. All of the food looks and tastes fresh and healthy. I ordered both times the Fiocchi Rapera(as recommended by the server) and the eggplant appetizer on my second round there. Let me say this… the Fiocchi Rapera was one of the BEST pasta dishes I have ever had in my entire life. It is a cheese and pear-stuffed ravioli(pear? different. I know) covered in a creamy truffle sauce. It has one of the most unique flavors and you do not even notice too much of the pear as all of the flavors blend together. I PROMISE you, if you order this dish you will not be dissatisfied. I am so sad that I live in California because I will have to travel across the country to have this dish again but I will most definitely be visiting Café Prima Pasta when I return to Miami Beach!

Café Prima Pasta boats a cozy atmosphere while catering to the trendy Miami scene. It is Italian at its finest, don’t be fooled by the Argentinean influence of the staff! The service is one of the first outstanding points of this place with waiters who know the menu as well as they know the neuances of fine dining. The menu is full of Italian staples as well as a few surprises if you are looking to try something off the beaten path. My favorite meal at this restaurant, however, is not on the Menu and I was told they only make about 10 servings a night. That entrée is the Osso Buco, which is served over an amazing risotto. The meat simple melts off the bone and into your mouth fully complimented by the risotto which soaks up the sauce cooked into the meat. I usually order the calamari to start and find the marinara sauce a wonderful compliment with a tiny kick. Dinner, however, is never complete without an order of terimisu for dessert. Homemade and balanced as the alcohol included enhances the flavor rather than over power you. Be prepared to wait at all hours on a Friday or Saturday night but the bar is always hopping and they have a cute outdoor seating area for you to hang out in until your table is ready. Overall a great value, definitely worth the cost in quality, service and atmosphere.

Love this place. I had not been here in a few years. Met a few friends for an early dinner and Its still as good as I remembered it. The 5pm-6pm.is half off. and drinks too. The staff is friendly and the tables are semi private and Old school Italian. The décor is similar with some famous and not so famous pictures on the wall. of who have been here. We started with Fried calamari. which was as good as any as ive had in New York. also an app of carpaccio. exellent again. Main courses Chicken parm. Steak pizziola.Chicken scarpiello. all excellent. Some Flan and drink Lemoncello for dessert to cap off a great time and meal.

Chicken Parm! I did take out so I can only speak to this one dish. It was awesome! The red sauce with the ziti was amazing very rich and flavorful. The chicken itself was perfect, not too wet not too try, it was just right and the red sauce. Did I mention the red sauce? I will certainly go back there sometime soon for a proper meal. The décor looked pretty traditional for an American Italian restaurant. Wooden wall, dark lighting and pictures of all the famous people that have visited the place all over the restaurant. I’d say if you’re looking for comfort food or want some good Italian food in Miami Beach give this place a try.

Amazing restaurant on the beach. Ambience makes you feel as if you were being served in someones home in Italy. Music and lighting compliment each other very well. Cristian our waiter was superb; always on top of everything, its no wonder this place has been around for years. They are an establishment that recognizes great food and service; an iconic restaurant in the community. I recommend the veal parmesan and branzino. delicious! Definitely will be coming back whenever I’m in the mood for Italian cuisine!

This place is the bomb! Firstly, I checked in and got the 2 free Bellini. Then started off with the calamari for appetizer. The batter was was light and crispy. It was probably the best calamari I’ve ever had. Hubby and I ordered the lamb ragu and veal parm for our entrees. They were very very delicious. For desert we ordered the cheesecake was was so fluffy and full of flavor. Then they offered us another free Bellini! The customer service there was excellent. With our meals we also ordered the red and white sangria which were also delicious. Our total bill came out to around $ 95.00 and it was worth every penny. I don’t have one complaint. I place the quality of food high in importance while I travel. I will definitely visit again next time returning to Miami.

Argentinian cuisine, I am Italian and dined at café Prima Pasta, it was 4 of us, all Italian, and we all were disappointed with our experience. The location is actually nice and warm, the service was ok, nothing great but not bad either. What we really were not happy with was the food. We ordered several appetizers and pastas so we could all taste and share, and we all found most of the dishes quite heavy, with way too much cream sauce and far from the authentic, light Italian sauces. I remember in particular a mussels appetizer with too much cream and garlic and a seafood pasta that was over cooked and topped with basil instead of parsley. If you are not picky when it comes to Italian food this restaurant will probably work just fine for you, instead if you were raised with the belief that adding Parmesan cheese to your seafood pasta is like a curse, look for some other place

The place was pretty crowded when we went on a saturday night. We had to wait for a good 90 minutes before getting a table. Meanwhile we roamed around the areas near the beach for a bit. But it was worth the wait. The ambience inside is awesome and the food is equally great. The service was also excellent. So probably its a good idea to make a reservation in advance.

This is the perfect Italian place in North Beach! Went here after seeing they had a real 2 free bellinis deal through Unilocal. We got seated quickly(we had a reservation) in the outside portion of the restaurant. The Bellini’s were very fresh and an awesome free addition! My one friend and I both got spaghetti and meatballs and you could tell how fresh the pasta was. I am used to meatballs being a bit of a mystery meat, however, the meatballs here were juicy and fresh! My other friend got chicken parm and the portion was massive! Some places make the chicken parm way too thick and the chicken doesn’t cook properly through; this wasn’t a problem here. We finished the meal with tiramisu and espresso, both fabulous. The best part about this place, other than the ambiance, were the prices! It had genuine Italian food without pretentious prices. Definitely will be back!

Finally made it to this lovely place near Shorecrest. Walking in felt so warm with the red lightning. Such a cozy ambiance my god i loved it. Wait time was 25 mins for a table. Went to the bar to wait and ordered a bottle of Amarone and was so comfy didnt feel the need to wait for a table. And so we continued to order at the bar with our lovely bartender/server Henry and the other girl who was so helpful Laura. We loved being at the bar so much we stayed and enjoyed the last of our meal. Ordered a veal giordano and chick parm. Delicious both. Veal had a salad on top in case you like it on the side, and chicken parmigana was bigger than my face. Both veal and chicken were delicious and soft and flavorful. Not crispy as some other places but definitely much soft and flavorful. Dessert time ce and ordered the profiteroles and tiramisu. Tiramisu was ok and profiterole was not what i was used too. Tasted stale and mostly ice scream. Ended the night with some sambuca and zacapa xo and was absolutely happy!!! Besides dessert, i was extremely happy to have tried this place. Will be back soon. Thank you Henry and Laura(i think that was her name)

Giving 3 stars bc the place is really nice. Evening atmosphere is great, candles… romantic even. Also the service was GREAT very attentive & accommodating. I was there with ladies from work & had a great time Food on the other hand… This place came highly recommended. I ordered the calamari to start. had to send it back. No flavor, no seasoning of any sort and a little greasy. Ordered my Italian go to dish, at any Italian restaurant I dine. eggplant parmesan No eggplant, just thick layers of greasy cheese. Served with penne pasta and again, bland marinara. Food was just not good. BLAND. I’ve had better at olive garden! And that foods frozen! On the other hand. sangria was prefect. We ordered the pitcher, came with tons of fresh fruit. For dessert we had tiramisu, & chocolate cake Both delicious. I’d recommend this place for an after dinner stop. Or just drinks place, girls night. Dessert & sangria and an intimate setting. Great date place probably The food just wasn’t good. In my opinion.

Just, wow! We’re from NYC and are used to real, well done Classic Italian. For those of you who are NY’ers, this place reminded us a lot of Angelo on Mulberry, one of our all-time favorites. The owner(manager?) greeted us and said our table would be ready in 5 minutes. I suggested we wait in the bar and get a drink. Now get this: he told us NOT to get a drink because the table would be ready quickly. What a remarkable start. Our waiter, Eddie, was special. He couldn’t have been more helpful. Our grand-nephew, age 3, whose father is Latino was with us and Eddie kept him entertained all through the meal, both in English and Spanish. We all(6 of us) had a mix of dishes, including calamari, lasagna, veal parm, veal Francais and seafood on squid ink pasta. They were all terrific. No complaints from anyone. We went through 2 bottles of wine and our bill totaled around $ 350. Plus, because this is far enough from South Beach, and the European tourists, the tip was not forced on us. Even though it’s out of the way a bit, I highly recommend this place. If you like traditional Southern Italian food, this is a terrific choice.

Café Prima Pasta is a charming, unexpected experience as if you where in the scene of a Coppola movie. The food is great and the service was very pleasant and our server gave the extra mile to make sure our experience was a great one. We started with the Pulpo Toscana, fantastic combination of flavors even though the octopus gets a little lost. For entrée we had the penne vodka which was very flavorful and the veal piccata was a great balance even though it might not be the“best in the world” it was very good. Bellini’s accompanied the evening thanks to Unilocal ;) and it ended with champagne courtesy of our server Kris. Overall, I will say, if you are looking for a light, refreshing evening, go try it, you can’t go wrong with a good Italian dinner.

The ambiance really set things off. Has a nice cozy, italian, feel to it with tons of pictures of old hollywood stars on the wall. Great date spot I could tell right off the bat had a divey feel to it — makes sense since they’ve been around since 1993. Have to be doing something right. Service was solid. Pasta was fresh hot delicious and just the right portion size. You can have leftovers if you want and still be satisfied. I had the Fiochhio(pear stuffed pasta) and dined with my family last night. Got our drink orders immediately and when he noticed we were ready to order our entrees he approached is very kindly and took our order. Now, the food… The black linguini with lobster white sauce. Holy moly. Insane. To die for. Huge portion. We also got the salmon Frances’s which was delicious as well. Drinks… Lychee martini. Perfect! I would definitely come here again if I visit Miami.

NPS = 8 Great food and pretty good prices for the beach… just make sure to have reservations! I got the idea to take my girlfriend out to Prima Pasta because she had always mentioned how much she loved it. I decided to call ahead and make reservations and I was extremely glad I did. We showed up and it was a madhouse! There was free parking, so that was nice. You can sit outside, but with the humidity of Miami whether that’s a risk you take on your own. Also, you can sit outside if you will smoke during your meal. I ordered the chicken limone and my girlfriend ordered the pasta stuffed with pear. The chicken was fantastic… I was not a fan of the side dish of pasta with red sauce. I would have been happy without it, it kind of dampened the meal. My girlfriends pasta, however, was superb. The sauce was very rich and gave a flavor explosion to the meal. The tiramisu: oh, the tiramisu. I would come to this restaurant just for the desert. The service was quick and you get free bellini’s with a Unilocal checkin. Check it out.

I’m not very adventurous when it comes to Italian food… I don’t like pastas and I’m not a fan of chicken. My friends were visiting from Kentucky, read some good reviews, and suggested we eat here for my birthday. They all ordered pasta and chicken dishes, their portions looked big, and were moderately priced for Miami Beach. I ordered Bruschetta for an appetizer and Tuna Osaka(which is also an appetizer) for my main course. The Bruschetta was good but that Tuna Osaka dish was amazing… A day later and I keep thinking about it. I’m craving it, I want it, I NEED it. When I go back, and I WILL go back, I’ll be ordering the same thing. It’s very dark in the restaurant but the lighting on the tables lights up the food perfectly. The atmosphere is really cool, jazzy, and the pics on the wall are super old school. As far as North Beach is concerned, if your visiting or a local and haven’t checked this place out yet, you should. I am upset that I’ve lived here for so many years and deprived myself of that Tuna Osaka for so long.

Everything about this restaurant is five star. From the décor, the atmosphere both inside and outside, to the excellent food, and the wonderful service. We started out with a glass of wine and a basket of freshly baked rolls. I ordered the Black Linguini Seafood: squid ink pasta and seafood with choice of fresh tomatoes or creamy lobster sauce. I chose the creamy lobster sauce. The portion was huge and the seafood was fresh and beautifully presented. My date ordered the Chicken Caprese: sautéed with fresh tomatoes, onions and mozzarella di bufalaa. He had the penne marinara on the side. For dessert we had coffee and shared the chocolate mousse cake. It was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. The experience was wonderful. We are looking forward to returning very soon.

PRIMAPASTAISAMAZING. My dad and I came here on a Friday night and initially there was an hour wait. Luckily enough, Unilocal gave us two free bellinis for checking in there. Low and behold, we lurked by the bar for a while and snagged two bar stools. We had the gnocchi with four cheese sauce to split as an appetizer. I am a cheese lover and with Parmesan on top this dish was out of this world. For my main course I had the squid ink linguine with seafood. For $ 21.95, there was a lot of sea food and the creamy lobster sauce was out of this world. On top of it all they gave us a drink on the house at the end of our meal. Will definitely return next time I am down here.
