The service is terrible. It was empty and they took an hour for us to get our food. Before we ordered we specifically said different checks. We were a party of 5 and the waitress refused to split the check. To top it all off we had different waitresses the whole time, and got charged 19% gratuity being $ 5 a person. We had to physically do the math for the waitresses because they could not. And the price of each dish was extremely overpriced for the amount of food you get. It’s a terrible place, I definitely do not recommend at all.

Great waitress– very attentive! Came here tonight and ordered linguiça with fried yuca. I was disappointed that they substituted yuca with French fries with out an explanation. I understand perhaps the kitchen ran out but it would have been nice to let us know– we would have ordered something else. Now– where am I going to get my yuca fix???

This place is simply a tourist trap. The service is terrible. I ordered a filet mignonette and the meat was tough and tasteless. The waiter was always missing. To top it off they auto insert the TIP 18% and then they still leave the tip line on the credit card receipt.
AVOID THIS PLACE!!! the whopper bar would have been a better choice!

waited half an hour for food, 4pm on a sunday. there were inly two tables being served at the time but the young waitress came by to check on us maybe once. horrible service. i ordered the brazilian pasta which was very dry as well as the chicken in it. would not recommend to anyone.

As a true born and raised brazilian, it sadden me to say this place is not good.
At very least. I gave few shots here but it isnt good, at all.
The cherry on the cake was the simple delicious desert called mousse de maracujá that tasted like old milk with old sour cream.
Absolutely awful. Everything.
Service is okay, but food, not good.

The worst thing was the food: grilled chicken tasteless, like a piece of styrofoam, with a tasteless iceberg salad and tomatoes, set us back $ 20.
The service was nice, there was some confusion about who was going to serve us though. Finally it was this guy, it seemed to be his first day on the job. He made a mistake in two of our orders. When the food came out with the plate I hadn’t ordered, although I kept it, I though they could have had a commercial gesture, like throw in a free drink or take something off the check. Well, no.
I still wonder why we fell in the trap of this touristy Española Way, we should have steered clear of it.

The food it’s OK, but the service is the worst I have experienced in a long time.
The attitude of our waiter managed to ruined what was a lovely night out with friends. First, it took him easily an hour to come take our orders, then we he finally took them somehow he managed to mix them up. When we politely corrected him he made us feel as if we were in the wrong by shrugging his shoulders and rolling his eyes.
To top it all when we checked our bill we noticed charges for things we did not ordered.
Do yourself a favor and stay as far as you can from this place.

Unfortunately I can’t recommend it.
The food was mediocre — steak was 50% gristle and well done instead of medium rare as requested.
The prices were really high for what you get.
The service was slow and our waiter got confrontational when we didn’t understand that Happy Hour «buy 1 drink get 1 free» meant that we each had to buy one, otherwise there was no special.
To top it off, both my wife and I got sick later that night and the next day.
Skip this place, there are many other restaurants on this block.

This Brazilian spot lies right on espanola way. Great location. 1. food was delicious! My table of 6 had the same feedback. Perfect quantity. My steak was juicy and flavorerful. We had to request the bread to be brought to us, but we were offered multiple baskets of grilled pieces of bread. 2. the service was pleasurable, attentive, and fast. There can be a language barrier with certain request, and may be the reason for the previous poor reviews. But helllllo, while in rome… it makes you feel like your in Brazil. Try people. 3. Ambiance was good. Music not to loud. Indoor outdoor seating.

Located in Espanola way, sitting outside is beautiful. The prices are quiet high for what you get. The Mozzarella in the Caprese salad was funny but not tasty. Caipirinha was tasty, but for 13 dollars highly expensive.

This is probably the only place you should stay away from when in Espanola way! The food was ok (not more) but the service was incredibly bad! The waiter didnt give us any attention at all and even though it was really slow and not many customers they couldnt get our orders right.
When we pointed that out to the waiter he got angry instead of apologizing.
Go to some other place!

Stay away from this place!!! They used to be good when they first opened many years ago but they totally suck now. We were there last week for lunch on my bday and it was horrible. The waiter didn’t speak any English, my moqueca took forever and had too much coconut cream, my mother’s chicken was blend. The prices are ridiculous for what they serve. The worse part is that not only 18% tip was already included, they over charged my credit card by $ 35.00. If you want some good Brazilian food and environment, take a trip to North Miami and go to the original Boteco on 79th St.

Let me paint a picture for you.
You walk into a tapas spot with obscenely loud techno music that has some odd 90’s vibe, the waiter pays zero attention to you (like not even a nod), you get served canned tuna that has some off brand fake olive oil taste to it and on top of that you pay a premium for this visit.
Welcome to Boteco. Pass.

The staff was nice and friendly but the food was somewhat disappointing. The chorizo appetizer was tasty but came with french fries instead of yuca as stated in the menu. The portions were smaller then expected but filling. The drinks are over priced but this Miami Beach. Good enough for a one time visit.

While the waiter was nice the service was poor. My caprese salad came out well after all six other dishes as did a friend’s side of fries yuca. The pink sauce is warmed ketchup and mayo, the spinach shrimp salad came with romaine lettuce, the fresh tuna salad was canned, they ran out of a chicken dish, the tomatoes had no color, the ketchup came in packets, and they don’t have margaritas.
