Do not eat here. Food was horrible. Guacamole was spoiled. Fries on all 3 orders was cold. The Sprite soda that came from a can was flat. Don’t know how that’s possible. Then it was only 4 of us and they automatically added the gratuity to the total. Waste of money.

Paramos por un almuerzo rápido. El lugar lucía sucio y olía mal. El ambiente no es acogedor. La comida es regular pero la atención fue mala. No lo recomendaría ni volvería

Busy night but the staff didn’t step up. Was ignored and drank a full beer while waiting for someone to take a food order. With an empty beer and waving a 10, finally got the bartender to cash me out for the beer so I could go somewhere else. She took the food order of the people next to me first.

By far the worst bar I’ve ever been in. My husband and I came in for a drink and there was no one else in there. It smelled like someone vomited all over the bar– sour milk smell… Gross! And the beer tap had paper napkins shoved into the spouts to keep the fruit flies from getting in them– and the fruit flies were every where. I had several flying around my head for the ½ can of beer I could barely tolerate drinking in there… Disgusting!

Horrible bartenders, there was this one bartender ziva, who was absolutely rude, she sat and watched the television most of the time she was there, she was rude to myself and a buddy of mines, i got this vibe she didnt want to work there. I didnt feel welcomed, then there was this veteran who came in and asked her to break a large bill for him and she totally went off, that really pissed me off because not only was it rude but it was ungreatful of her to treat him that way. The food is DEFINITELYNOTWORTHTHEMONEY youre going to pay. Just stay away from this place. They dont deserve to be in business.

This place really sucks. OK, it’s a dive, but I had to wait 25 mins for a burger and there is no AC. Food and beer was ok, but I am too uncomfortable to enjoy. One server for the whole place doesn’t help either.

Stumbled into this place on a Sunday afternoon for a quick bite and got pretty much what I expected… bad service and mediocre food. Guess I’m usually hammered when I go into places like this so it seems a little more tolerable. There were about 6 people in the joint and 2 of them worked there(I think). They all were obviously locals which is great but the bartender was too busy chatting it up with them to take care of me… guess I was a little too needy wanting a soft-drink refill to go with my cheeseburger. Lots of people smoking too in what seemed like a cellar for the Days Inn… not too sure what I was expecting but whatever it was wasn’t worth the time…

We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat for a late lunch since we still had an hour before we could check into our hotel across the street. First of all, the place is in the basement. There is a big bar that has about 8 draft beers. I had a Kona, half pint and was a bit shocked when I saw the bill. $ 7 for that small beer! Not sure if that is a typical Miami Beach beer price. The beer was bland, so really nothing special that would warrant a higher price. We ordered a margarita pizza to share and to be honest, it was pretty good. I wasn’t overly impressed with the setting though. Just me I guess. Many would probably love it there.

Caught bartender Sarah trying my drink twice with the same straw… After I call her out on it, she SHUSHES me. I asked for the check(I was charged $ 15 for the drink which she double dipped to taste it), she hands it to me and says«thanks for the etiquette lesson.» All I expected was that she remake my drink, but I got attitude and sarcasm instead… *sighs* So many good people out there looking for a job, I don’t get it!!!

Beaches is a dive bar by every sense of the word and the morning rename to Sunrise Café for breakfast doesn’t change that fact. So the atmosphere is a bit sketchy, but if you can get past that then you should enjoy the food. I had the breakfast buffet; not a large selection but the flavor of the food was spot on. Eggs are cooked fresh to order, which already puts it leaps and bounds above most buffets. The star deductions come for two reasons. First, in Miami Beach all tips are automatically added to the check. This essentially equates to no motivation for the servers, which was my experience. I had to get my own water, twice, and repeatedly flag them down for coffee(I couldn’t self serve that as it was in the kitchen). This may not seem like a big deal, but I was the only one in the restaurant, so… The second star deduction was for it taking 25 minutes to pay the check. They could not get the credit card machine to work and ultimately wrote my number down on paper to charge later — sketchy! Obviously I will be monitoring that card very closely. All in all it’s not so bad. Reasonable prices, good food and, umm, we’ll call it, homey. It is in desperate need of a make over, but don’t let that stop you, it’s a good choice for the price… and I’d suggest paying in cash.

Probably as divey as you can get in Miami Beach with a cheesy pirate theme to match. I loved it. Cheap drinks(with the occasional free shot) and really nice bartenders that alerted us of common tourist traps and pitfalls. Definitely a place to check out if you find yourself spending way too much money during your first few days of vacation in Miami Beach.

Nice dive bar with inexpensive drinks, ping pong, pool and a friendly bartender. What’s really great is that this gin-joint’s location thumbs a bird to the neighboring chi-chi bars at Fountainbleu and other«exclusive» places. I hope Beaches can survive ongoing gentrification.

They have some flat-screens for sports. They show most of the NFL games here as well. Booze is cheaper here. Total dive in a basement of a hotel. Why three stars? You can smoke inside here. We have it lucky in California.

Absolutely my favorite dive bar in Miami! been going there for years now… It was actually the first bar I stepped into upon my move from Vegas to here… It was home for some time when i lived at the Bleau. I was«norm» from cheers, with my chair. I moved a little north and hadnt been back in some time… They are doing some work to the place, and it looks a lot different than it did a year ago. Very friendly bartenders… FOODISDECENTBARFOOD! The place is fairly inexpensive. I always see people that stay at the FB there, usually looking for an inexpensive bar to drink at and watch the game or just hang out with friends… If the hotels patrons are luck enough to find… Its a score! great for pre-game«drink on» before the club or post club hang out… They are usually open very late– or «early in the morning»… I love it! Great for football games, or any game for that matter… There are a bunch of TV’s there.

First and foremost, this bar is a dive. If you are looking for anything but that, don’t bother. As the other reviewers have stated, it is brightly lit, run down, and warm, but if you like dive bars and are looking for a break from the ridiculously over priced SoBe scene, this is it. Ashley the bartender was fantastic. Funny, unimposing and quick to serve your drinks. A group of us was staying down the street and literally stumbled into this bar our first night of the weekend on our way to our hotel down the block. We ended up coming back to start and end the night the 4 days we were there. There is a mix of tourists and the few local regulars, a great jukebox, and ice cold beer. This was the only bar I found that did not automatically include the gratuity on each drink. I cannot speak for the food here, I honestly would not consume food at the bar and didn’t order anything. Come for the cheap/strong drinks and comfortable atmosphere.

Ok, so it was really hard for me to give this place a 1 star review — the people there were nice, and they tried. But at the end of the day, would I go back there? Not a chance! To start off, we walked there on a hot day and go down in the basement area(where the place is located) and there was no AC — I’m pretty sure it was warmer in there, than what it was outside — at least outside had a nice breeze. So my wife order a mudslide — which was advertised as w/Ice Cream — it wasn’t with ice cream — unless they are separating the words ice, with some cream. But we’re not complainers — so we accepted. We both ordered burgers, and the fries were good, but the burgers weren’t anything special(nor were we looking for anything special). The service wasn’t bad, it was just slow — and I’m not exactly sure how. There were only 12 people in the restaurant and they had 3 bartenders and 1 server — plus who knows how many cook staff. Anyway, if you’re in for a lousy, but reasonably affordable lunch/dinner — this place is for you!

I ate at the Tiki Bar on the beach side near the pool. Ordered a hamburger and fries… wasn’t expecting much, really. I tell you… boy were my expectations wrong! That burger quite honestly has to be one of the best slabs of beef I’ve had in a long time… and the fries were delicious as well! Both served piping hot! Our bartender was amazing as well… she was one of those people that you feel you have known your whole life after speaking with her for just a few minutes! The only thing that made a better experience even better at this quaint little joint… was watching the Pittsburgh Steelers win!

The year was 2006. Miami was still flush with cash. Spirits soared higher than a Jorge Perez condo project. I was hanging with a local journalist who was checking out Beaches. He was looking for the«Dive Bar of the Year.» I was looking for a good time. So in we stumbled, off the sidewalk, down the stairs and right up to the huge circular bar. My first impression was«What a Dump!» My second impression was that the place was too well lit for a dive bar. Some places and some people aren’t meant to be viewed in hi-def. So I had to hit my plastic cups of beer pretty hard to reach a satisfactory level of blurred reality. Within minutes of sitting down, we befriended a couple of regulars. One of the guys began telling me about his stint in the joint. I reciprocated with a(fictional) account of the time I spent in a federal pen for embezzlement. And that night was the first of many fun, felonious times at Beaches. Beaches is in the basement of a Days Inn, so you get some interesting Midwestern tourists and wedding parties from time to time. Then there are the restaurant people that come in after their shifts. And of course, there’s always a bit of beach trash coloring the scene and raising cane. This is an excellent place to start a fight. This is NOT a good place to eat. Don’t even think about going there. You’re better off grabbing a snack from the Days Inn vending machine if you get the munchies. Prices are decent — typical divey prices. The women’s room stall doors lack locks. I don’t know if that’s to frustrate would-be coke snorters, or simply plain old Miami-style, mañana, mañana laziness. The bartenders are always middlingly attractive to pretty. And the turnover is so rapid it’ll make your head spin. That’s all part of the fun of Beaches. Beaches is always an interesting experience and a hell of a dive. The glitz and swank of South Beach clubs may change with the fickle tides, but Beaches remains eternal, unchanged by the sands of time.

It’s like that old, dirty t-shirt you just won’t get rid of. You love it too much — it’s comfortable, worn in, easygoing. That is Beaches. Unimposing crowd(and by crowd, i mean 4 – 5 regulars), cheap beers, plenty of TVs, pool table, and a jukebox that actually PLAYS your songs a few minutes after you request them. Sure it’s a gritty dive that screams white trash, but it serves a purpose: cold/cheap drinks(wouldn’t order food here) in a place that’s so close yet so far away from all the blinding glitz and glamor of SoBe…

OK, in the basement of a Days Inn in Ritzy Miami Beach, next to the Fountainbleau Hotel, really dumpy inside, probably frozen food served, BUTTTT, I loved it for a dive bar, 6 – 7 big screens they may have scrimped on paint and plaster to fix this dump up but the beer is cold, the Direct TV — HD, many screens and cheap booze, this is a great place to watch college or Pro football and avoid teh crazy prices of the area. I’d go back every night for sports! Even watched college football and Spanish soccer on screens side by side, what a deal!!!
