gotta love being on vacation when disaster strikes and your iPhone decides to take a dip of its own — a dip into a cup of iced coffee that spills in your bag as you’re heading to the beach for a day of catching some sun. luckily I was staying a couple of blocks from this at&t store where I went tout de suite to see what I could do. nowadays there is not much the store can do thanks to enough jackasses trying to commit insurance fraud to get new phones. back in the day, you could go to an at&t store and replace the phone in real time; however, those days are long gone. now, you’ve got to fill out an online application — complete with downloading and printing an affidavit and providing a copy of some type of document proving your identity. the insurance nitwits failed to make the latter two requirements something easy to do while you’re on vacation. SO, after I get back to my apartment with my 11 dollar«drug dealer/assassin» phone(aka pre-smartphone phone), I start trying to do the online paperwork and run into the issue that I don’t have a printer or a scanner to provide the necessary documentation to submit my claim. SO, back to the at&t store about 15 – 30 minutes later. a very helpful staff member gave me a printed affidavit and offered to make a copy of my driver’s license. when I said there was no way for me to scan/upload the documents once completed, she scanned and uploaded them in the store and added them to my online claim form. given how stressful this situation can be(especially when you’re due to fly out the next day for home), I was really happy that this store did all they could to help. I just wish there could be something more timely than the current insurance claim submission process with 1 – 2 day turnaround on being mailed a replacement phone :/

I want to mention that this rating is purely for the sales representative ELVIN M. with support from manager Gissel. This guy is possible the single redeeming representative of not only this branch but all of AT&T. Every time I call their«help line» there is someone often who dosen’t speak English and furthermore has no idea what is happening with my account. There were several kinks/hurdles in my account(probably because of screw-ups by prev AT&T employees) and this guy one-by-one knocked them out with courtesy, professionalism, and intelligence beyond that which I’ve seen in any other AT&T employee over the phone or in person. Honestly I walked in to the store on the edge of leaving AT&T b/c of their ridiculous service and this guy squashed it. He also recommended the galaxy s5 which i completely love over the previous phone I had. If you go into this store I would only ask for this guy with this manager.(I’ve been there several other times and w/o being disrespectful to their co-workers all i can say is if you don’t see one of these 2 just leave and come back another day).

They tried to charge $ 35 to change my phone number. Then the manager said it was actually $ 27. They said they needed my SIMM card then said I can do it online. I personally do not trust this store. Please verify everything first when it come to their fees and charges.

Firstly they do not pick up the phone in this particular store. I visited this store for the special offer trade in of an iPhone 4. As advertised you receive $ 100 off the iPhone 5 upgrade. The sales representative needed his Manager to approve. She approved a meager $ 49, kept her back to me, ignored me talking to her and walked away. The rest of the staff seem nice. Pity about her. I took my old phone back and went to another AT&T store and was actually given $ 125 credit for my iPhone 4. I’ll never do my AT&T business there again.

Well this was an interesting experience. My friend’s iPhone got pick-pocketed down in South Beach so we walked about a mile here to get a temporary replacement for the remainder of the trip, one of those Pay As You Go type phones. There was some confusion with the account information, where they were telling my friend she had insurance, but she knew she didn’t. So we are here for a bit and leave with a cheapo phone. Whatever. We walk back to our hotel room, and I tell her I’m going to call her so she has my number. Surprise! The phone never rang. What the hell. So she calls me instead, and I read her the number coming up. AT&T activated her sister’s phone number by mistake. So that explains the confusion over the insurance. Screw walking, we are wasting our whole day… we take a taxi back to AT&T where they tell us that her sister’s phone is now deactivated and she must go to an AT&T in Boston to reactivate it. Now my friend is trying to contact her sister’s friends to get in touch with her since she has no phone. Finally, they reactivate my friend’s phone number and we walk back again. This was my only exercise the entire vacation. ha Fact: 1 person from every group of people we talked to in Miami had their phone stolen. My friend was actually taking it quite nicely until our whole day(& her sister’s) was wasted at AT&T, which made her family members mad at her.

I go back to this store over and over when I come through Miami – to get a new cell phone, to get a new charger, etc. They’re always the model of efficiency and courtesy. They’re helpful.

Excellent customer service. I had a issue with my new iPhone 5, solved rite away by Derek. Even the manager came along to ask me if everything was ok. Sad with at&t for creating the problem, very happy that the store close to my house is great. Thanks!

Having to deal with replacing a stolen or lost iPhone is never a fun thing to do, but when I had to deal with that situation when on vacation in Miami I was happy to have found an AT&T dealer close by. I noticed that everywhere in Miami, you can find music. The AT&T store is no exception. You should not dance in the store though. :) I was able to upgrade to the iPhone 4 and was helped by Iker who was the nicest guy and not only helped me get the phone all set up and looking very Miamish(in it’s new case) — but he recommended the best sushi spot. Now that’s Customer Service.

Went to this location on 3÷13÷11 due to my 6 week old iPhone 4 being stolen from me on 3÷12÷11. Heath was my customer service rep. and was very professional and went out of his way to get me a new iPhone 4. I was in contract and not eligible for an upgrade so I faced the 649.00 cost of a new phone. Heath conferred with the manager and was able to get me a new phone, nice bluetooth and Applecare for far less than the full price of a new phone. Highly recommend visiting this location if you need anything, they produced results where a phone call to AT&T didn’t.
