It’s open, but the name has changed. The pizza was awesome. $ 2.50 a pint for original Coors was nice too!

Fabulous fabulous food!!! Everyone was super friendly but our pizzas came out 20 min apart from each other. It was also obvious that they needed someone to run the register that wasn’t also cooking but all was forgiven when my food came. Yummy :)

«Pie in the Sky» has new owners and is now«The Pie». No more particle board for a floor — the place has cleaned up significantly, but still has most of its character. . 209−586−4664.

We eat here once a year and have been for 9 years– a tradition to end our week long camping trip at pinecrest lake. Pizza is good but the service always, always is lacking. But this this year was the worst. We arrive at the restaurant on a thursday at 6pm. Lights on, music on but the door was locked. The kids knocked. The kids screamed«helllllloooo!» A man inside turns to look at us then walks nonchalantly into the back. He definitely saw us. Never came back to open the door. We called the phone line, no answer. Absolutely Ridiculous! We were forced to go to Mia’s down the road, cuz we were starving for pizza! I have to say, we have a new tradition. Not answering the door was the best thing Pie in the Sky did for us. Mia’s is SO much better. I did hear that the owner of Pie was a very nice man who is having health issues. Perhaps the focus is elsewhere, which for a family business, seems appropriate. I think I’ll still order pizza from this place… but from now on it’s take out.

Gross. Can I give it zero stars? I love pizza and this was just gross. The place was filthy, the food was gross. Go to Mia’s down the road.

I LOVETHISPLACE. Love, love, love. Yes, they have long lines and, depending on the time of day, can have long waits. We make it a habit of calling from about 25 minutes south and placing our order so we can pick up our extra crispy pizza(special request) and eat pizza as our first few meals in the mountains. The sauce here is delectable, the crust is perfect and it’s super fun to post up here and have some beers. I wish this pizza could be closer to home, it’s a very special treat!

Eaten here about a hundred times or more through the years. Go Skiing, eat pizza, drink beer and be merry. This is the best pizza on the mountain, and it has a great location. The pizza is always good and the garlic cheese bread is friggin delish! My favorite pie is the combination. Pro tip: Go skiing, order the pizza to go, grab it on your way back to the cabin. Get a family meal that comes with bread and a large salad. Only 4 stars and not 5 because the restaurant is small and can be difficult to get a table unless you are early for dinner. Just another reason to do take out.

Great pizza! Good sauce, crispy dough, fresh, generous ingredients. Huge, too. Goofy disorganized kids running the place but very friendly. All the napkin dispensers on the tables were empty and smeared in food. Floor was disgusting. Still a great experience though. Be prepared for long wait.

0 stars. I’ve eaten here a handful of times and haven’t had 1 good experience. Lines are always long and it takes an hour + to get pizza. I’m not hard to please but this place was awful, staff is rude and the pizza tastes nasty and soggy. Skip this place and hit up Mikes pizza in Sonora

I do not understand all the positive reviews. This was one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had in my life! 2 out of 3 arcade games are broken. Don’t eat here! Drive 10 more miles down the hill and go to Mike’s.

We have driven by this place so many times, and finally stopped. SOGLADWEDID!!! Oh my gosh!!! What an awesome, old school pizza place! The kids played old arcade games while we waited, and the staff was super friendly. The pizzas were DELICIOUS!!! and HUGE! This is our new fav place when we are up that way!

Let me start off by saying my wife and I drive 1 ½ hours to enjoy this pizza! I have been coming here since I was about ten years old and I’m thirty six now. The combination is awesome the calzones are amazing and everything else is great. The owner is a cool guy. he always has been great. I believe his son has started to take it over. I hope that doesn’t change anything. If you are going anywhere near Pie in the Sky, make sure to stop have a cold beer and there best pizza not only in the hills but anywhere period. I don’t say that lightly because I consider myself a pizza connoisseur.

2.5 stars I had the worst experience here a few months ago. We were in area, driving back to our cabin which is in Twain Harte when we decided to come here for dinner. We waited in a medium sized line and then ordered the pizza and for my mom a salad. Then, we sat and waited for over an hour waiting for our pizza. Meanwhile, the large group near us got their salads before my moms salad. It was horrible. When we were wondering where the pizza was, we went up to the workers and asked. They responded that it was«still cooking» which is hard to believe that a pizza takes one hour to make. Finally the pizza came! I had ordered Hawaiian and guess what? The pineapples were FREAKINCOLD, like they hadn’t baked on the pizza at all. And when we asked for our money back guess what? THEYREFUSEDTOGIVEUSOURMONEYBACK. I may try this place again but i really hope we will never come back again!

Sad times for Pie in the sky, Drove from Manteca up there April fools day. Our favorite food joint on the hill, It had been probably a year since We had been up there and has turned into the last place I will stop. I am not sure what has happen, but only one kid running the whole show. He could not serve any beer cause he was under age, No ice for the sodas, Very dirty, food on floor and tables not wiped, Bathroom just bearable I am a guy, Had to return small cheese pizza for grand kids Burnt. I felt sorry for the kid and left him a fat tip, he was trying his best and made the best out of it. Also Pizza was not as good as last visit. Think twice before visiting.

My Friends and I found this place one day just touring the area while on a vacation to Angels Camp. Let me tell you that they make the best pizza, we travel to this area every year and make a special trip to eat this pizza. I’ve never had anything bad to say about the staff or eating area the Pizza talks for itself and that’s all that matters. Huge amount of toppings and a great Pizza!

After reading the reviews here we decided to try out this place. We were quite disappointed. The ingredients did not seem to fresh and the sauce seemed sweet. We ordered a medium and it seemed like a large, the pizzas here are huge. The place itself looks like it has not been cleaned since the day it opened. The tables were sticky and the whole place was filthy. I know it is a mountain/ski area place, but it does need to be cleaned. We will not be back.

Let me start by saying that it really hurts me to write this. I have never written a review before, but I felt compelled to do one. I have been going to Pie In The Sky since I was a child. We always ate there at least 2 – 3 times a year when we were on vacation. This has been my favorite pizza place since as long as I can remember. Unfortunately the last 3 times I have been there I have received terrible service. The owner(Dan) used to always be there, and he did a great job. Recently a boy has been working when I have stopped in. I went to Pie In The Sky today, and I was hoping the experience would be better than the last 2. I was disappointed yet again. First off we paid $ 36 for a 2 person meal. This meal includes 2 drinks, salad, cheese garlic bread, and a pizza. It is called«Plenty for Two.» We ordered and paid for our meal at the counter, as is there common practice. I expected to get our drinks, but he went into the back room. We sat down, and waited 20 minutes. Also keep in mind that there was only two other customers at this time, and there was another boy worker cooking pizzas. I finally went to the counter, and asked for our drinks. He looked at me as if I was trying to steal from him. He said, «What did you order.» He looked at the ticket, and realized we did not have our drinks. I then also told him that we hadn’t even got our salad yet, and it had been 20 minutes. Usually they bring the salad to you right away, and then the bread follows. He said, «Sorry, I’m just really busy right now.» We ended up waiting another 10 minutes or so, and our pizza was brought to our table. We had to wait another 5 minutes just to get our salad, which should have been served first. Our bread never arrived either. I decided to have my wife go up to tell them to give us the money back for the bread because I was a little upset at the time. They did give us $ 5 back, but did not even offer as much as an apology. Keep in mind we had paid them extra for a small container of ranch to dip the pizza in. The only positive thing is the pizza still tastes good, and they put a ton of toppings on. The boy who works the place is not friendly, and does not even make an attempt to help you. I think it is a little over priced, but I would definitely treat myself every once in a while if the service was better. I’m not going back because I won’t allow myself to be treated like that. It is too bad because this has always been my favorite pizza place.

Delicioso! Family owned and operated, me and my coworker stopped here to get some pizza from one of the locals we met on our recruiting trips and they told us that they have the best pizza in the county, and that was no lie. Plenty of cheese and meat made my pie a good one. The owner Jen was very nice to us and gave us a tshirt to support the area, which I will wear proudly, and the son Zach was very good at making our pizza with lots of extra meat. Reminds me of the local pizza places that I grew up liking, it wasn’t roundtable or pizza hut, or Dominos or little caesars, it was a family owned, good ol fashion pizza joint with a family feel to it. Plenty of seating to go around and some old fashioned arcade games to play to pass the time. Enjoy!

My friends and I have heavily debated the rating for this place, wavering between four and five stars. In my eyes, Pie in the Sky Pizzeria is a solid four star pizza joint with an abundance of arcade games, flair in the form of stickers and various ski memorabilia on the walls, and pitchers of quality beer. Our party of five ordered a large pizza and pitcher of beer for approximately $ 40. We shared a half pizza of the hot hawaiian(think lots of jalepeno peppers) and veggie(think artichoke hearts). I can speak for my friends and I when I say canned pineapple never tasted so good! Highly recommended after a long day on the slopes, especially for large group of friends. I mean, when else can you brag to your friends that you ate in Mi Wuk Village? Come hungry and thirsty!

Probably one of the best restaurants in the longbarn area, so if youre coming back from or going to dodge this is a good place to lay back and put your feet up. that being said, the pizza here is much more expensive than it should be. my friends and I paid total $ 38 for a large 2-topping pizza and a pitcher of beer. thats not bad, comes out to less than $ 10 per person, but pizza should be a relatively cheap choice. i would only go to this pizzeria if I was in the area and really hungry. the pizza we ordered was huge. i think the larges come with 16 slices, and they were pretty big slices, that should give you a good idea of how big the pizzas were. the cheese was a bit too gooey, and I know that people enjoy that quality, but it didn’t go well with the crust at all. the kid who took our order was rude also, which is expected at 8 on a friday night. I realize he probably had some pressing business to attend to but that will probably be the difference maker the next time i try to decide between pie in the sky and waiting til I get back to modesto or even oakdale for pizza plus.
