At noon they have a parade that includes almost everyone in town, they have a lot of marching bands and baton twirlers… if they weren’t nicknamed maple city, I’d think it was baton city. Whoa! The festival itself is city wide but you can pay to go into the official festival area and see how the syrup is made, see all the vendors and buy their goods, get maple goodies. It was $ 5 admission per adult and kids under 6 were free. Score. Aside from seeing how its made and the crafts, there isn’t a whole ton to do at this festival. It’s a cute town and its neat to see but if you’re not from the area, like me… you’re not going to know anyone in the parade and its not going to be so much a social thing as a festival. It’s always cold when they have it. Bring so many clothes. I probably need to amputate a toe or finger due to hypothermia. Ok I’m being a baby, but seriously, bundle up for this one! And bring lawn chairs for the parade.
