Let me start with: I’m visiting from out of town, I’m a vegetarian, and I have celiac disease. My choices are limited. So I tried this place bc it had better reviews than the other Mexican restaurant in town. First, the service was outstanding. I love that in a restaurant. Good chips and salsa and guacamole too. But the enchiladas. It took me 20 minutes to figure out what the sauce reminded me of. But I did. It’s Chef Boyardee. It tasted like spaghettios. The rice and beans were good though. I would probably go back and try something else(see above). But never the enchiladas ever again.

First time at this restaurant — I only had the caldo de camarones but it was delicious! Good salsa, good soup — hopefully I’ll get a chance to try more next time I’m in Mexico. The staff was friendly and attentive — worth the trip to visit again!

Dos Arcos is tied with Vegas Burritos for the best restaurant in Mexico, MO. Dos Arcos has attentive staff and delicious entrees. The atmosphere, décor, and layout of this little restaurant is absolutely perfect give the size of the community. It even has a patio that’s great for sipping margaritas in the summer time. Food service is also extremely quick, which I always appreciate.

These people are amazing! They have also just opened a sister«Dos Arcos» down Highway 22 in Centralia. BOTH of these locations are now non-smoking, and I understand this new policy has greatly increased their business. The menu is multi-page; the staff is friendly and attentive; parking is plentiful and free. Why not 5 stars? My usual lack of vegetarian/organic options, crowding, and general atmosphere. However, if you want good Mexican food in Mexico, this is your place. Don’t even bother to try the other place.

Ok, I’ll admit it. I’m an enchilada suiza snob. When it’s tasty, I’m happier than a pig in slop. When it’s not, I’m just irritated. In my opinion, do it right or don’t put it on the menu. But I digress… Dos Arcos makes the BEST enchiladas suiza I’ve had in years. They cover theirs in a tangy, savory, fantastic green sauce(salsa verde?). Plate featured a very generous portion, too. I was only sad that I couldn’t stuff one more bite in my face. Well done, amigos!
