It’s so hard to write an honest review of a place where you’ve met and socialized with the owner, who you really liked. I’ll try my best, though, because I think you should get a quality review. Would I ever stay here again? Not in a million years. BUT80% of that statement is because of the location, not because of the actual B&B. My husband and I tried to make the best of the place. We were alone, very alone. Metamora turns into a ghost town after 5 or 6pm. There’s no place to eat or get a drink and there are no people(but there are farm animals :) There were no other guests staying with us over the summer weekend and the owner does not live there. Luckily, we brought alcohol, and sat on the very cool front porch at night, just enjoying the solitude. Breakfast was good — normal home cooking. The room was clean. We did have a problem with wasps(my husband is highly allergic) and the shower was horrible. There was cable/satellite TV, so that was a plus. I suppose, in the right circumstances, with the right people, this place could be a gem. We simply tried to make the best of it and tough it out. For $ 59 a night, I think my review would be better, but for the price, it should have been a bit more plush, or inviting, or something(?!). Good luck Cat! You have a lot on your plate!

The Inn is «too busy» furniture wise. Rooms were small.

The Cat & The Fiddle is not your typical bed and breakfast. Owner and proprietor, Catrina Campbell, is the perfect«hostess with the mostest» and will treat you to a wonderful experience. Whether it’s a quick weekend getaway, reception, girl’s weekend or solitary retreat, The Cat & The Fiddle is the perfect destination. Part gypsy chic boutique and part farmhouse kitchen, walking in makes you feel like you just walked into the attic of your favorite aunt. There is often live music or comedy here on the weekends, which adds to the charm of this shop that’s off the beaten path in historic Metamora, Indiana. Once you visit, you will fall in love with Catrina and The Cat & The Fiddle just like my husband and I did.
