The best iced coffee, I see why they are the original! I love the quality and coolness to the Café!!! The Blueberry Muffin is to die for. I even bought the Concentrate Iced Coffee to take home:)!!!

I have probabaly been to most of the PJs locations in the New Orleans area and this one is probabaly my favorite, mainly because of the fabulous service. I frequent this location at around 7:00 in the morning and these girls are always just so friendly and cheery. I say girls because I have never encountered a male(not to say that there isn’t one). My drink always comes out perfect, they never forget my sugar. I even forgot my wallet one time and didn’t relaize until I was at the window trying to pay; and the barista said she would take care of it for me! She still gave me my drink! This staff is why baristas deserve tips.

Decent hotspot. A few outlets for the olé laptop. Reasonable pricing. Nice staff(feels a bit more mom-n-pop) b/c it isn’t the hustle and bustle of other places. Overall, solid crib.

There are two things I love when it comes to coffee: PJ’s iced coffee and not having to get out of my vehicle to obtain said iced coffee. This PJ’s has both of those magical qualities. So there I am, driving through the Da Metrys, when I decide that I could use a caffeine fix. Not only is there a shiny PJ’s over yonder, but I drive up and discover that they have a drive thru. Bing! Oh, and it’s 2 in the afternoon, so there’s no line. Bing, again! Not only does this PJ’s serve up an icy cool treat on a warm day, but the staff is quick with your order AND bonus points because this PJ’s has 2% milk. Who needs Starbucks?

PJ’s is a New Orleans institution and I’ve always appreciated the atmosphere and friendly service of the stores. This one had a really convenient drive thru. Got the cappuccino which was good and better than Starbucks(which is the most important thing)… although not close to SF Bay Area favorites like Philz.

I’m a previous regular at the drive thru, and service was usually good, depending on the cashier. The scones have had burned bottoms recently, but I doubt that’s the employees’ faults. Line can get really long and tight, and the entering and exiting of the parking lot and drive thru can be hazardous. But I refuse to drink Starbucks!

Last Sunday we were looking for a change in our routine so instead of Starbucks, we went here. The cashier was present physically. That’s about the only thing he was. I probably know more about coffee there and it was my first visit to any PJs! I ordered a mocha frapp and my boyfriend had regular coffee. He said his was okay. No ground nutmeg to put in it like Starbucks has. That’s a deal breaker. No fresh cream or milk either. Condiment counter was dirty and not well stocked. Teeny little couch/chair area. We felt like we would’ve been sitting on top of people so we opted for an outside table. No covering or awning. No trash can close by to dispose of our cups either. My mocha frapp had no sugar, no mocha flavor. Tasted like it had no coffee in it either and I had paid for an extra shot of coffee! Think we’ll stick with Starbucks. Won’t be back here ever!

I’ve been here several times, and every time, I go in the hopes of it being a better experience. But it just isn’t. This morning’s experience was me standing at the counter for THREEMINUTES without being even greeted. Did they see me? Yes. Was there a line? No. Were there people in the drive thru? Yes. But the second lady could have at LEAST said good morning or Hello. I almost turned and walked back out, but I’m actually a bona fide caffeine addict and Starbuck across the street was closed because they’re moving. HMPH . Anyway, after the girl finally took my order, a third lady popped out and asked if she could help me. When I got my coffee, I almost spit it out but was afraid I’d be late to work if I actually asked for it to be remade. I want to support them because they’re local. But the customer service at this location leaves much to be desired. Sad face. PJs, do better. I am returning to Starbucks where I have consistently great customer service. And I delicious coffee.

It straddles 3 and 4 stars. SPACIOUS, lots of places to sit. Has tv’s, couches, a bar with three stools. Good service that is friendly. Coffee is great. But the parking is woeful and the wifi seems inconsistent(at least with my laptop).

After waiting a good bit at the window of the drive thru to get my latte, the girl wasn’t paying attention I suppose and double lidded my coffee and didn’t seal the lid. I drove off took a sip, just for my BOILING coffee to pour all over my chest and lap. I had blisters on my abdomen after that. That is seriously dangerous. Luckily I wasn’t out in the road yet. I was so upset. I emailed their contact email to inform them what had happened so maybe it won’t happen again and I was very disappointed that I never got a response or apology from management. Seems like the entire business just doesn’t care nor pay attention.

I am a fan of PJ’s but not this location. First time around, the drive thru barista admitted that they forgot about me and that was why my order(1 coffee) took so long. Mistakes happen so I went back a few mornings later. This time not only did I have to tell them what my order was 3 times(again only 1 coffee) but they didn’t even give me the right one when I finally received it. Very disappointed with this location.

Other reviewers totally got it right. First off, PJ’s coffee(at most locations) is delicious. I’m not sure what’s up with the Vets location, but it has consistently been the worst one over the past couple years that it has been open. Every time I go there, they make a mistake with my order. I just don’t understand. They always make you repeat your order when you drive up to the window, even when they don’t have any other customers. It’s like they completely ignore what you say into the speaker because they’re just going to wait until you tell them face-to-face before they enter it into the computer and start making it for you. Last time I went there, I said into the speaker«large mint mocha and spinach and feta croissant.» They repeated my order back to me over the speaker, but as always, they wanted me to repeat it at the window, so I said«It was the mint mocha and the croissant, remember?» They give me a regular, plain croissant that’s not even warmed up. Proof that they really do just ignore you the first time you give them your order. They have made other mistakes with me as well, including a time when they charged me the wrong amount, and I had to drive back there, after realizing, for them to fix it. Their decaf coffee was gross last time — it was burnt. They need more oversight. Also, I have said this time-and-time again, which is why I laughed when I noticed another reviewer commented on the fact that their cups are so small! Although their coffee is delicious, this is the one thing that deters me from going to any PJ’s sometimes when I’m making a decision about where to go. I finish the large way too fast and then have to go get more coffee.

This PJ’s is relatively close to where I work. If I happen to be running early(admittedly somewhat rare), I allow myself the luxury of stopping for coffee and a pastry on the way. Since the Starbucks across the street is always slammed, I usually stop at PJ’s. Plus, it’s on the«right side» of Vets for me(meaning, I don’t have to do a u-turn to get back on my route.) There is very rarely a line here, which is important… I mean, I may be «running early» but never THAT early. I’m an iced latte drinker. They’re decent, but I much prefer Starbucks. It tastes better, but more importantly, it’s bigger = more caffeine. It continues to baffle me that PJ’s charges the exact same price for a large iced latte that Starbucks charges for a venti iced latte… but the one from PJ’s is a good 4 ounces smaller(so, essentially, the same size as a grande at SB at the price of a venti.) They have the super long straws that fit in the larger cups, but they don’t actually serve anything that big. I’ve commented on this many times, even written emails– it just irks me. I’ve never gotten a response. Despite the shorter lines, they can still be pretty slow. Almost every time I go through the drive-thru, they have me repeat my order when I get to the window so they can make it then. On one usually busy morning when there were several cars in the drive-thru, I went inside thinking it would be quicker. Nope, all of the employees were working the drive-thru and I had to wait for all of the cars to free up someone to help those of us who came inside. On more than one occasion I’ve gotten to work only to find they gave me the wrong pastry… despite the fact that they always have me repeat my order when I get to the window. It’s hit or miss on how nice the staff is… sometimes they’re over the top nice, sometimes it’s like they’re doing you a favor by taking your order. I guess I just need to run extra early and take the time to go to Starbucks. I’d much rather do business with a company like PJ’s, but not at the expense of good service, a good value and consistentcy. Sorry PJ’s, I’m just not a fan.

Don’t ask the staff at this location to make you a quad mocha, or basically anything that isn’t pre-mixed. Their heads might explode. That is all.

In the world of chain coffee shops, PJ’s is one of my favorites. I love coffee. In particular, I love iced coffee. I find that it is the most efficient form of caffeine delivery system available. Since it is cold, I can consume it rather rapidly, allowing me to function. I pass this location frequently, but had never been here due to their operating hours. It seems I am always driving by before 6:00 a.m. so I am forced to try the Starbucks across the street. On a recent trip out of town, it was finally my chance to try PJ’s. The employees at this location were amazingly friendly. It was obvious they enjoyed their jobs, and they made me feel welcome. The iced coffee was very good and ranks second on my list of great iced coffee(Mojo in NOLA is my favorite). My only complaint is that their large size doesn’t seem large enough. When drinking iced coffee, I want as much as humanly possible so my body can awaken and get through the day. Note: If seeking maximum effectiveness, don’t add anything, but maybe sweetener to the coffee. Milk or fancy additives take away from coffee’s primary purpose.

Standard PJs, which is a good thing — good flavor varieties, consistent service and quality. The regular morning barista gets a charge out of remembering your order, which is a nice touch. Nice to be able to order a small, medium or large, and not be corrected in faux-italian… :-) Enjoy pulling in, parking, walking in getting my coffee and sitting and working for a while. Great New Orleans alternative to the around-the-block drive thru line of the northwest coffee place across the street! (Note, there are a few additional PJ’s parking spots in the First NBC Bank parking lot next door.)

Every PJ’s has a different feel and atmosphere. This one is very clean, the staff is friendly, and, of course, the coffee is great. I tutor here, and it’s usually not too crowded, so it is easy to find a table. When I bring my kids, the staff behind the counter is always willing to run into the back of the shop to find a chocolate chip muffin or two, The only drawback is that their internet is a little flakey, a common problem with coffee shops in NO.
